  1. I ment if they would stick out of the fender and would I need flares. then let me revise, would they stick out if I had 1 1/2 inch spacers? Edit: brain fart. Forget my question
  2. You should use plaster paris then. Its like spackle but drys quick. Might be a little more price, but not by much. Its the same stuff that they do loss wax castings. Can get it at home depot for like $20-$30 last time I checked (couple years ago )
  3. how would a set of 16x8 with +38 offset and 1 inch spacers fit?
  4. I think its the fact the body panels in front of the front tires is a mile long. kinda like the gnose. It would help to pin point it with a profile shot.
  5. I don;t have a wife to speak of, nuf said?
  6. Ooo, something that I can actually of with my millions of pennies that I keep finding
  7. No sir, I do not think I can drive, I just make an attempt to lol
  8. if someone is being a dick and tailgating me, I just drive the speed limit and if possible, try to box him in while doing it (if there is another car along side me going to limit, as any proper citizen would, hehe). He does either 3 things 1. switches lanes and pass, and I don't have to deal with him again 2. Abide by my driving standards or 3 continues being a dick and rides my bumper. My DD is a 92 jeep, with a tailer hitch. had a guy actually try to ram me in a jetta (road rage). tipied his hood and totaled his car, while my jeep only had a slight dent on the rear bumper, all thanks to my trusty trailer hitch haha. Kinda wish there was some major damage, so I could collect on insurance because the car would of been considered as totaled because of how old it is ($5k for a $2k-$3k car lol).
  9. I doubt that there would be any need for a repair. I would repair it only if you found rust in the tank
  10. I thought fuel safe was aluminum with a plastic inner tank
  11. I enjoyed looking at the micro mustang
  12. I like how you used just a piece of pipe as the rear bumper
  13. just put a couple gallons of gas in the tank. let it sit for a while, occasionally pushing on the car to slosh it around, then drain it. Gas can go bad.
  14. I've learned to tolerate wearing welding gloves when working on the car
  15. Plus, have you seen the maintenance cost of a GTR? Like $100 for "1" quirt of oil alone. o_O
  16. Check the diff mount bushings and hardware.
  17. Bandit- I would search before making any assumptions. If I have followed the strut/coilover threads correctly, you have to section and weld the old strut housing to be able to install the aftermarket struts and coilovers correctly.
  18. It could be. I know for a fact that the they made different regulators just in the 280z I'm guessing that to tell which one they fit by the doors latch design.
  19. I think thats for domestic market. I heard something like, if you trade in your old car, the gov will add another $5k to the trade in value and another $1k if you buy domestic, or something like that. My jeep is only worth maybe $2k as most. $27k for the 2.0T track model (-) $7k for my 92 jeep (=) ^______^
  20. Ok. Nope. I'm going with a CA20E transmission from a s12 silvia 200sx. Almost the same gearing as the L28 but with a taller 5 gear. There is a guy up here with a L28 maxima and wants to do a 5 speed swap eventually. Since I'm not going to be rocking the L28 anymore, I'd figure that I would trade him some parts. BTW the guy doesn't want the car to be performance oriented, and the engine in the 200sx is blown. If it wasn't for that, I would of just done a CA20E swap and throw on a CA18DET head and turbo it . I would still need a bell housing for it, since its going onto a KA24DE. Who knows, the bell housing "might" fit .
  21. I want one too lol. I don't think there is anyone want to buy a tranny for a 280zx in alaska anytime soon. They all just do sbc swaps
  22. Shaggy- looks like you're right but its for a z31. Was a BW trans an option on the z31?
  23. I don't think its from a turbo. It looks different from what my haynes manual shows. But haynes manuals are hit or miss with some of the things they put in it IIRC nissan never made a manual transmission that had a bell housing detachable from the front tranny case. Can someone prove me wrong? (I'm really asking )
  24. Found this. http://anchorage.craigslist.org/pts/1098222392.html Obviously not the STOCK transmission. emailed him on the error, and well... responses were unsavory. I would like someone to PM what tranny it might be, as I would like some satisfaction of knowing what tranny this guy's "paper weight" is
