  1. Holy cow that thing is gorgeous! Besides the obvious AZC goodies, what else went into the build or is there another thread with the build info?
  2. Depends on what kind of shape the 240 is you get and what your daily drive is like. Can you garage it? How much snow do you drive through? I'm sure there are some who do drive their 240s on a near daily basis but for everyday, the list is slim.
  3. Yikes, and he wasn't the first to park it there either.
  4. Call Eddie Radatz (Kennesaw-770-926-6609) or John Williams (Sugar Hill-770-806-2926), they'll probably give you some good recommendations. To my knowledge, Sunbelt is no more but I think John may know where the guy who did headwork at Sunbelt is now.

  6. Sorry man, I was in Atlanta last Saturday and it would have been fun. Maybe Eddie Radatz or John Williams know someone who wouldn't mind helping a Z owner out?
  7. I'm interested in a couple if the design doesn't suck.
  8. I'm in the Arabian Gulf for another month and there are alot of contractors here doing everything imaginable, IT, driving buses, cleaning air conditioners etc. An electrician came in to repair my fridge and fix my outlet, said he was making three times what he could make at home (Jax FL) over 120 day period. They're paying guys to drive a bus for a year $53K. I'm not a recruiter for these guys, but the name of the company that has the maintenance contracts here is Sallyport, there are others, Northrup Grumman etc. It may be an option, it's hotter than hell here for four months but the money isn't bad, the living conditions aren't bad and the food isn't bad either.
  9. There are some videos on youtube for troubleshooting SUs that might be helpful. http://www.youtube.com/user/MossMotorsCom?blend=8&ob=5#p/search/2/wLRFnTJ28oQ
  10. Dead sexy, it looks great without lifting it an inch or two.
  11. Did you read this? http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/102085-200-whp-na-build/
  12. I enjoy it, especially the GT series, lots of great drivers and the race may draw some really nice spectator cars.
  13. If I remember correctly Bana crashed in a spot where just previously some guys in an Alfa had crashed, I thought that was darkly humorous.
  14. Interesting comment Leno made about how if Bana had built the car he wouldn't have wrecked it, I think Dr Phil says something similar in the movie. It was a sweet car, my favorite Australian import is still the V-8 interceptor from Mad Max and Road Warrior though...those Falcon XB GTs are hot!
  15. All I remember is the majority of the accidents I saw had Y plates, are they still displaying airmen's smashed up vehicles by Gate 1? Nismofest has been the first weekend in December in the past, here's a link to Nismos homepage, scroll down on the right and there's a link to last year's event. http://www.nismo.co.jp/index.html Nostalgic Heros car shows happen periodically, I went to one in Tokyo but I'm pretty sure they have them throughout Japan. http://geibunsha.co.jp/mag/nh/p/ There's a Japanese bookstore on 58 across from Foster that carries Nostalgic Heros and Vintage Auto, if you're bored, you could go down there and page through them, the major car shows will be well advertised. You may even be able to pick up a Tamiya 1/32nd scale S30 model if you're interested in one, I found 4 at a toy store outside Gate 2 in '08 and left 2. The real question is how will the earthquake effect all of this?
  16. The only bad drivers I remember from Okinawa were Americans who didn't know how to drive in congested environments and thought that because there wasn't a heavy police presence on the roads, they could drive like idiots. Coco Ichiban, Blue Seal, American Village, lots of great memories and places on Okinawa. If you get a chance, you should think about trying to go to mainland for Nismofest or a vintage meet either in Tokyo or Osaka. Nismofest at Fuji speedway would be worth the cost of getting there in my book. I spent a couple of years at Kadena and at Yokota and would recommend going there if you could, even now after the quake. Tokyo is JDM heaven, lots to see and do with old cars.
  17. I'd have to go with the Wood Village S30, pics are already on this thread so I'll throw a link to an article. http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/02/10/car-spotlight-gt-gt-woodvillage-s30.aspx In car at Tsukuba. After that and for a Z I could drive on the streets it would have to be hoke's 240, a really nice build.
  18. You're in Atlanta? Have you met Eddie Radatz or John Williams yet? I'm sure they'd love to see your baby?
  19. 115 Blue Metallic, lucky I got one stock.
  20. There's a great thread entitled Big and Nasty headwork in the Nissan L6 Forum as well as a wealth of other engine rebuilding info if you haven't already read it. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/forum/32-nissan-l6-forum
  21. California is a long haul, you may want to consider John Williams or Sunbelt in Atlanta.
  22. A wealth of potential, how bad is the rust in the floorboards, framerails?
  23. You might try some reading material written back in "the day" as a counter to the internet. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=frank+honsowetz http://www.amazon.com/How-Hotrod-Race-Your-Datsun/dp/0936834412/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1269404596&sr=8-1 I'm in the same boat in terms of wanting to keep the original induction system but pump up the HP, these are some great light reading choices to bounce off of what you'll read online. Keep in mind, it's old but alot of what was written is still true today.
  24. 115 blue metallic, finally found a '73 in good enough shape with it so I grabbed it.
