  1. To help determind if you are just dying, or if you somehow are going back into acc mode. Oh well.
  2. Sorry was not going to open other plug, but that is atleast one!
  3. will my starter off of my 280z's original motor work? Yes.
  4. Can't make out what size rim that is....
  5. Love those rimS!!! Oddly I like that rear spoiler as well! Thanks slowandrusty!!! Deeeep Dish ummmmmmmmm ymmmy.
  6. Ford's queit steel? I believe they use something similar.
  7. Ok ok, dose not the car seem (appear) to be in acc mode once the engine dies?? Me go check my ZX this morning. I'll get back:)
  8. Years back there was a thread about How fast you have gone, or something like that.... I believe it was you that pointed me to a sight that allowed me to see how fast, at what RPM. It said 150. I'm still not saying that I got going that fast, but........................................
  9. I wanted to make a funny about weight lose, but seemed dumb;) Funny I came across this thread today, earlier this morning I was thinking of this same thing when I got up. I thought about what tack welding the springs in place, then thought, your car may become airborne more easily. So what would be worse, getting all four corners off the ground, or, "bouncing" back onto the springs? Out on a freeway at high speeds, ie Montana with somewhat unlimited speed limits (a few years back), I can tell you a dip in the road can tax the full range of movement on suspension. (stock aerodynamics ZX) I'm not saying right or wrong, just curious.
  10. The other responders need to learn more about how engines are built and operate Your statement of how the system works made that point, this piece is redundant. Alot of people try to have a "thicker skin". (besides, the extensive knowledge of some here is uncanny, and sometimes impossible can happen;)) If someone wanted to argue the point, you can PM a administrator, its up to you;).
  11. So im keeping it simple for now and just using my 225mm flywheel from my N/A 280zx with Clutch for now in my Turbo Automatic DUDE!!??LOL! That would be something to see;)
  12. If I had to venture a guess, 5&6th cylinders endure heat cycles the most and consequently it where the headgaskest fail the most. There is a tread of fellows tapping the heads water passages around 5&6 to pull more heat away from that area.
  13. Ya know, it seemed to me like you were getting ready to take another step in your life. Oddly, I want to say congradulations, for what may come.

  15. Gheezzz, glad you got it off, what an experience!
  16. The absolute cut in power sounds ignition/electrically related. If I got read correctlly, my gut tells me ignition. Why not just upgrade ignition compodants, lets say MSD.? Sound like somthing is heating up and causeing failure. Dose it ever do it when frist started? (dead cold) Do you have an low oil cut off switch running on the car? I may be on the wrong track here, since reading what you wrote was a little difficult to get. Its not you, its me, but,,, I still want to be "friends"!
  17. You'll have to post your butt dyno results then:)
  18. Was there any thing holding you up besides the old head gasket?
  19. A larger throttle body is just one piece of the pie. The AFM will not really keep up with the better flow of the larger TB. (air flow) The runners on the intake should also be done to match larger volume of air that can be potentially moved, then maybe cam at least, then exhaust system. Think of it this way, try sucking your favorite beverage using a garden hose with only a pen tip on the end. Defeats the purpose abit. There is some advantage due to cylinders, friction and volumes that can be moved, but I don't think it is to notable here under the conditions.
