  1. Excellent work so far!! A detailed write up would be great!
  2. DAMMM that exhaust note gives me chills!! Sounds like an Indy flat plane crank! I wonder how mobythevan sounds like!!
  3. Been posted before, fun to watch.
  4. Odd, mabe the voltage drop is causing the fuel pump to "slow" down? In which case it can be cloged lines, filter or regulator?? What is output of alt, before and after head lights? What happens if you load the electrical even more?
  5. Don't ya know it is under the shoud on top of that cooler in there! Ya know the one that causes cly #3 to tank once in a while;)!!
  6. While your at it, lighten the flywheel and balence that and pressure plate.?? Just the smoothness you can gain is amazing.
  7. I would think it would be fine. Retouque the head bolts, and just stay out of it. Also keep your eye on water level and make sure your not getting water in your oil. If you are really unsure, make sure you have the tools and a spare head gasket for the trip!
  8. Some times I will run a screw driver into the middle of the head gasket. I hate getting an old head off, you worry so much about marring deck surfaces. Or any surface requiring a gasket. The front cover I've had to beat on within an inch of its life to get off. It's not a very thick cast aluminum part.
  9. I will also note that I have a piece of plastic sewage pipe for my cold air intake!!! The K/N filter fit like a glove!
  10. I have plausible denieablity (can't even spell it close enough for spell checker, crap)! Generally speaking.
  11. I was thinking of seranwrap, if I ever used mine. Some time ago you had mentioned about volumes for the runners and stuff, and that made alot of sense to me. Mabey some day, but it needs to match all the way into combution camber and out. Still may use seranwrap and gorrilla tape;)
  12. Happy Birthday BigPhil!!! Your wife get you anything good??
  13. THere is an intake manifold.................. teehee........
  14. WOW! Ummmm, you have the no cold start injector, but you kept the cold air bypass, with only one bolt. My guess is you have WAY to much air from many sorces, and consiquently not enough fuel. Way that bug big??!!
  15. Mine of course is an 83na w/3.9 rear. Is yours n/a and still drivable? That is why I did not go too light. (I'm at 17.5lbs or so) Hope not to get to far off subject.
  16. Been there did that. With exhaust, it did improve things for more fun. Without after market ecu, fumes would burn your eyes at idle. You will not pass emission. Believe it or not, get a turbo fly wheel, take about 7lbs off it, get a turbo clutch, and balance the flywheel and pressure plate. This will not effect emissions but will have a noticeable increase in the butt dyno. Then get an after market ecu, (megasquirt) and learn to tune! You can always use these parts later in a different build (earlier) model.
  17. My frame rails look like someone drove down railroad tracks for a few thousand miles!! Not me p/o, or mechanics.
  18. The guess that I don't like to say (it's a pita), short in wireing harness. Check all grounds and connects, and clean completely. Including the ecu plug. Then go after the wire it's self, start at fire wall entries.
  19. You still have the input shaft and pilot bushing issue to address That rides in the flywheel as well, so it might be OK. The bolts would have to be longer and the stress on them my be greater??
  20. Mabe that is the same company that sold that 350Z gut that scoop;)
  21. The Far Side, There out to get us......man!! Cows, that is!
  22. Umm they will fit my L28? It dose seem that is what your saying, just a VERY cool tip and wanted to double check:)
