  1. I've got a buddy who is doing the same kind od "body swap" on an 03 or 04 Cobra, except he is using a 60's Falcoln body. Pretty sweet!!
  2. I don't think the cams caused a lean condition... It was more than likely tuning (probably running lean and detonating. Running a lower compression will not save you from running lean and detonating, appropriate air/fuel ratios and correct timing for boost will. You can run more boost on pump gas safely as long as the supporting mods are there (fuel, boost retard) with lower compression. I suppose it would be an ideal time to install rods and pistons while the engine is out of the car, if he intends to make more than 400 rwhp.
  3. Haven't heard yet, I'll find out tomorrow when I call .
  4. Congrats on getting it together!! I anxiously await results
  5. Thanks for all the input Scottie, Clint, and Rick. The Bogarts look like they may be the way to go. I obviously do not want to run rear spacers (don't mind running front spacers if I have to), and I definately have no desire to change my brakes and street wheels, so sticking to a 4-lug setup is desirable for me. Rick, I'll probably take you up on that offer for the next time we get together. Mike
  6. How about nearly a 1000rwhp sr20det!! The pull was done in 4th gear and the rpm pickup was not functioning properly, so it is in MPH instead. Mark said that he let out around 8500 rpm's, but the engine will turn 10,000 rpm's!! If you can't make it out, it is actually 998 whp!! The car has only been running for a few months, and is still getting sorted out. I wonder what kind of 1/4 mile numbers we'll see when they are in Vegas next weekend!! Should be interesting...
  7. MAZWORX sr20det 240sx dyno sheet
  8. I am wondering what any of you using the Arizona Z car rear brakes (12.2" rotors) are using for your drag race setup. I am currently running a 16x8 rear wheel and was wanting to source a 15" wheel that will clear the brake calipers. Does anyone know, for example, if 15" Weld Draglite will clear the rear brakes? Any other 15" options (I am still using the 4-lug hubs). Thanks in advance, Mike
  9. Agreed!! Although not a 7M, the 2JZ dimensions are pretty close. I removed the hood latch piece as well in order to get the engine further back and use hood pins for the hood hold down. I have less than an inch between the firewall and the rear of the motor.
  10. Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing it
  11. There you go Scottie!! Your chance to jump back into a Z LOL!!
  12. P/I ratios = Patience / Intelligence ratios The more intelligent you are , the less patience it requires me to have to be around you... The less intelligent you are, the more patience it requires me to have to be arounds you...
  13. Hmmm would it be possible to but just 2 for my DR's? I would think that a 275/50/15 would fit nicley on a 15x8 w/ zero offset under my ZG's.. I need more tire!!
  14. Not to mention all the other supporting mods you'll need if you want to increase the boost...
  15. Picks show up fine here Good luck w/ your swap!!

Don't know about 55psi, but there is a built forged 3.1 liter stroker longblock for sale in the classifieds and located in Florida... http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=2606&cat=all
  17. May want to check all of the u-joints including driveshaft u-joints. They may be the culprit...
