Those panels are actually really nice, I was going to go that route but at the time his FG shop was not making them any more. The new place is doing well though with those panels.
No clue, I put a Datsun sending unit in my LT1 and even then the stock gauge won't work for the water temp. Even a cheap aftermarket gauge does not work.
I'd go with the SC LS9 from the ZR1. Another fun one would be the V12 out of the f50.

I love my 3.54 rear end with the R200. I have a R200 3.9 welded diff for the drags sitting in the garage. It only takes about an 2 hours to swap them out.
Cheapest best alternative is the R200 with a OBX LSD add in. The R200 has seen over 500hp a few times. Its a very Very stout rear end.
For the cost of fabbing up something from scratch you can even get a R200 LSD from a 87-89 turbo 300zx.
^^^ super guy to work with. As long as you dont try anything fancy like flake or pearl then single stage will work great for you. You can always toss on a coat of high quality clear just for better UV protection.
