well 260s were produced until 78 If I remember correctly... Mostly for the Aussies and the UK. I don't know if they had FI though.
  3. hmm... I wonder how they could reward good ideas...
  4. upload pics and then when making a post hit the button with the mountain and sun. Then insert the URL of the uploaded picture.
  5. finally! looks good. I like the lighter blue.
  6. well since my Z is sitting outside and this rustoleum is looking pretty bad I may do something... I did not mix the red rustoleum right and it is not all that great. I think it was too thin. The black that I did is doing really well though.
  7. You have to search the Japanese sites...there is some insane stuff on some of those Japanese sites.
  8. why not move it down a few inches and build a new pan/oil pickup. I was thinking about doing this a long time ago with the motor close to the ground. Just make a wide and short pan with a center section like the AZ Zcar pan.
  9. look at this chopped Z! Here it has a 2.9 plus Gnose and ZGs! Look how the rear view mirror is in the middle of the windshield. here it has a 3.1 also found this. I have never seen so much bling on a Z engine!
  10. It is the secrets of how everything works revealed!!!A+
  11. That was better than the photoshop!!!
  12. sigh...you guys are crazy!!! Maybe I'll do a post-apocolyptic paint job...
  13. Good to see your nicer car coming together... Now lets talk about excessive camber...
  14. haha. I had it happen perodically and I just got fed up with all the problems in my electrical system so I ripped it out and started making an all new system from scratch. Good luck with finding out the cause! I would be interested since I had the same thing. BTW my car is an early 74 260 so it is basically the same electrically as a 73.
  15. Cool. Don't forget your relationship with hybridZ though... J/K...
  16. I am wondering what this threaded hole is for on the middle crank retainer... this does not look too great... #3 on the crank. the other side of the piston. I got bored...
  17. it just needs some wider rear wheels to fill the fenders...
  18. nope..240s and 260s had flat tops. All I can figure is I damaged it when I exploded my tranny and I topped out the tach (8k rpms) or at the tail of the dragon with my junky oil. Both did some wear on the motor... What is crazy is that it keeps making power up to high in the 6k range. My neighbor's Z is pretty good. Sounds incredible and has no body squeaks. Suspension is mostly stock though. It is a show car by far. It probably weighs 600-700 pounds more than my Z... this is still a mystery part...
  19. I just have drawings of exhaust manifolds so far. Nothing in Solidworks just yet. I drew more N/A manifolds that look really good. I may want to come up with a front mount turbo so I can use shorter intake tubes. There is not much room to play with between the intake, strut tower, frame rail, and steering linkage. I may steal the vacuum cleaner hose and use it to guestimate on allowed space.
  20. if you disconnect the battery and then turn the ignition on it will reset the codes on our 02 odyssey.
  21. Back on track with some shots of my #3 piston that was scoring my cylinder wall. Here is one of the bearing halves the top of the piston after some minor cleaning. The other half of the bearing. For some reason "ampco" does not sound very original. Connecting rod end. bearing part # my neighbor's 350 SBC 75'. It was built in 92' and is for sale...oh well.
  22. ok. I see what you mean. I can get them milled to any dish once I have them. I'll try to figure out today what was making that noise on my block. Once I figure that out I can see if I can reassemble the shortblock. I can always test out eveything on my current block and if something goes boom it won't be on an expensive engine. Obviously I'll need a better pressure plate once I crank the power toward 300 so that will be a consideration to take into mind.
  23. Well I see a trend coming on...camo cars...
  24. ^ listen to them...I am not very knowledgable in FI or anything that has a computer and harness.
