  1. Michael: I have always wanted a front end like that on a Z but it would be a lot of work to design. It is much easier to add on stuff to the stock fenders and front end. I saw that front quarter view of your car and it is a pretty cool front end. I have thought about a Ferrari Daytona front end similar to yours except with bigger lights and headlight covers. I think to make any bodykit work correctly the car must be low. Especially if there are side skirts. The G-nose looks a little funny on a stock height Z but on a super low Z it is sweet when combined with a good air dam. The Japanese look is indeed a great look for a Z but the G-nose is hard to get here with the needed covers. Personally I would like something different than any of my sketches so far. I have sorted out an air dam design that I like and a spoiler but the sides are still undecided. The boxed fenders are cool because nobody has them. The JCR/scarab kit is cool but everyone has them and the vents on the rear fenders seem a little too much from the 80s. Regular ZG style flares are cool if you have CF ones or have them smoothed out. Of course the IMSA kit is incredible but it is a little much flare for a street Z that you have to drive. I am going to come up with some 3" coverage fenders that are different than anything else. I have thought about doing an E-type side along the entire side of the Z but that would be a lot of work to get the molds and to install. I like that mercedes in my second post. Maybe something like that but a little more agressive.
  2. check this out! boxed fenders made from the AZ Zcar molds! http://www.zfiberglass.com/id10.html
  3. I second. Cool option and I have one but it is hard to find someone elses garage.
  4. except the article was wrong. It was a 260, not a 280, that was his first car. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=113798
  5. we'll see. At least a really good deal...I have other sketches that I am not going to post on here FYI... I think the flares will be easy to do but I am looking for something really unique for an air dam... And not be robotronic. I'll put some more sketches up later and would like to hear the input on them.
  6. I'm not saying I don't have a girlfriend...just waiting until marriage. we all know Big-phil as that crazy guy that rides motorcycles the wrong direction...up!
  7. Cool. Did you get your mud bog motor cleaned up from those little devils?
  8. very cool but old news... From a "that's cool" perspective I give it an A+ from a design aspect" why put the least aerodynamic front end on a 240sx? I am sure several people would like that air dam for their Zs.
  9. I agree about Hoke's car. I saw it before it was flared and ypu are right. Personally I only like ZGs when the car is done up Japanese style.. with the ZGs, 240 rear bumper, a nice aid dam below the gnose, and with the car lowered to the MAX. I'll find a pic of my favorite Gnose Z...
  10. c'mon careless...don't be so negative nanny...the flares you like are based from a VW bug. The old bugs... Have you seen hoke's car? It is clean inside and out...and underneath...and inside the wheelwells... that car is far beyond 90% of the cars on here...He has adjustable suspension sohe has it where it looks good in real life...not just in pictures.I don't think you understand how low that car is...3" at the crossmember if I remember correctly.
  11. younger than my car...way younger than even the Pinks! crew... Cool Lunar... At least I know some part of the Z community cares about that stuff...
  12. Well my other wheels that is. They are up for sale...that is beside the point though. There is a reflection of my camera...what type is it? and another view...
  13. nope..never been there either...saving myself for that right woman... I'll probably get flamed but I don't really care...
  14. arg...sorry it is a welding term for MIG... Cast is a natural curve from something spooled. Like when wire is unwound from a spool it retains a curve. That is called the cast.
  15. sigh...alcohol.. some people are addicted... For me it is Mountain Dew with a little vanilla flavoring added from QT... that is good... Now GET BACK TO WORK ON YOUR Z!!! and forget G35s...and your life will be much better...
  16. I tried it but since my edging already has a cast set into it it is a little hard to get it up there in position.
  17. ok. I see your idea. Hmm... you may like maverick...drew this one up real quick for the other body kit thread...
  18. yes... the complaint office opens on Friday next week. I am trying to come up with an idea for a kit that a lot of people would like to have and we can possibly have one made up. I know a lot of my sketches are exaggerated but that is the point. Concept cars get toned down when they go into production...same with body kits. I would like to see group participation in this one.
  19. I found a plastic version of the garden moulding at the local home depot. It is stiffer than the rubber. I reduced the front gap down to 3 inches. It will be less once I get the front down lower. Looking for 2" I had to let it stretch straighter overnight because it was coiled and was not wanting to give. It is now more flexible after working it some.
  20. that will be nice...too clean of a Z...was that shot for some internet magazine? or some regular magazine? careless, Get some ZGs and then mold them in covering the bolt holes. I think that makes a very good looking, medium coverage flare. *edit* tunerzine? right click on picture and hit properties...
  21. sweet thanks! Here is my latest sketch. I call the body kit the "Maverick". Made it just to think of some different body mods...notice anything missing?
  22. hey there Y'ALL!!! Welcome to the south Larry...
