  1. No front bumper but a smoothed rear early 240 bumper. Standalone garage or attached garage?
  2. It could sure use some attention but it looks good overall!
  3. I'll vacuum it up and get some pics in the morning. Some of them don't have the sound deadening attached anymore but the carpet really is in good condition. I am guessing it was added to the car when it the car was painted black in '89 or '90. The car then was driven for 6 years and then sat until 2004. I have had the carpet out pretty much since I bought the car.
  4. "1970-73 Nissan Z hubs 4 X 4 1/2” lug pattern 1970-78 Nissan Z rotors 4 X 4 1/16” bolt pattern" That makes no sense...how can the rotor have a smaller bolt pattern than the lug pattern? If I recall correctly they have the same bolt pattern so that the rotor slides over the lug bolts.
  5. Oh. I'm in ATLANTA, GA... Shipping those bumpers to texas would be a pain as they weight like 60 pounds together. They are the late 240/early 260 bumpers so they aren't the ultra-slim ones but they aren't the boat anchor ones either.
  6. Hey guys... I'm giving away some interior Z stuff from my Z that I'm not going to use . If you want it shipped you pay shipping. 7. Yes I have been working on getting a Z to do a foggy burnout and then going off the screen. Just a simple outline of a z and then tires spinning. I am going to use a HUD film of some sort. Just not quite sure yet.
  8. Keep with it buddy! I've done a lot of the same stuff. I also hate spending money twice on the same thing..
  9. Thanks Scotty! I should have searched a little BEFORE I posted that.. Oh well. I did some reading up last night on the subject. Very cool!!! Almost makes me wanna..........nah I'll stay L6...
  10. I have an early 260 built in 11/73 and it has a type of door bar. Not like the empty 240z door there but definitely not as stout as that 280z door. I'll get some pics tomorrow. I still don't think it would help much in a Z vs. SUV match...
  11. interesting... Looks very similar. Does the MegaSquirt display say who it is mady by on the board somewhere?
  12. I ran around town all day today with NO guages... You can tell when you are low on gas when you can hear gas coming from the fuel return and not splashing into gas back into the bottom of the tank...LOL Premium gas is $3.24 a gallon!!! and we "have it good" in ATL!!! This stinks! Next time I am just going to try "plus" grade gas.
  13. I did that with my cylinder head bolts that were broken off. It worked pretty well but it still took a few tries to get a good solid weld to have enough penetration to grab the bolt enough. This exhaust bolt is WAYYYY down in the hole though.
  14. So what cars come with this V6 or do you have to know somebody to get one?
  15. Plenty bright enough. I'm looking into how it will be set up for proper angling. I don't think projecting it onto the curved windshield (with the HUD film) is really an option. It might seriously distort the guage. I have another option though that I am thinking through and it sould work well. *think fighter jet*
  16. Yeah... Just look at the ideas Max and I have sketched in this thread that neither of us will use in the forseeable future...
  17. i'd say get some of the earlier toyota truck calipers for your Z. The non-vented rotor ones. For $120 you can get rebuilt ones plus a core charge... I went from being able to push the brake pedal down all the way till it stopped and it would not lock up the tires to being able to lock up the fronts with MORE tire... If your can't even lock up a skinny 215mm wide tire then you are in some serious trouble. I don't even have working brake booster right now and it still stops good.
  18. LOL... Maybe one of you can send a big white signal cloud if you know the other one... That doesn't mean burning a mountain of tires like some idiots here in Atlanta did... That means using gasoline and an engine to make smoke signals. (If y'all do such a primitive thing)
  19. Well the local pull-a-part has a late 240Z which has the longer rods. I'm debating going down in the morning to pull the motor apart to get the rods. Would it be worth it? The intake and exhaust are already gone, the valve cover is gone so I can pull the head off in like 5 minutes. I'd have to get the motor out of the car and the pan off which would be the harder part. Is it worth it? The car appears to have decently low miles. There is also a L28 with the P79 head on it. Would that be worth the $39 to get the head/valve cover?
  20. good grief Phil! Listen to me!!! Just put this motor together and then build a STOUT bottom end... LOL. BTW... how fast were you going to get full boost in 4th?
  21. I did relays in my new harness that I made. One for regular beams and one for high beams. That way I can run both at the same time for night time mountain driving... I also ran an individual wire for each headlight (I have 4) In my sig you can see the dead wiring harness trying to power the main headlights and new wiring for the two under the hood.
