  1. No proof this time guy's. This is getting WAY off topic. Argue about it in another thread.
  2. There is nothing "extra" welded on the intake. The first picture is slightly disassembled and has no air filter.
  3. 99% are ZG flared. We now know what's on your Christmas list
  4. A/C Compressor. Polished and functioning
  5. Haynes manual for the S30 isn't bad at all. The FSM for a 240z is nothing special, a few extra nuggets, but nothing to shout about. As cars have gotten more complicated, the FSM competitors have fallen back.
  6. I've never found much usefulness in Chiltons for any make or vintage of car. I gave up on them almost two decades ago. I suspect a real FSM would provide the information you're after.
  7. I dug out my Kameari catalog. Hexed...
  8. Ya know, I'm not supposed to comment on these things, but I just can't help it. That's dern funny Maybe I'll get an infraction
  9. An 8k motor deserves more than a distributor. EDIS... Hombrew...
  10. Yes. It shouldn't have made any difference, unless engine temp was below 57F ('78 model. Can't remember if the temp. threshold varied year to year). Yup. No. Other way 'round.
  11. I wasn't labeling your request as purist, rather the justification lobbied by the prior poster. "Counting on one hand" is a cliche. It wasn't meant in the literal sense, rather the relative sense. I'm not entirely opposed to your request, but I'm not entirely for it either. Give it some time. We'll either add it, or we won't. Either way, I don't see it as a significant.
  12. This is not the place for purism. Nissan V8 activity is minimal. I could probably count the threads on one hand. Until a sub-forum is deemed worthwhile, posting in "Other V8Z's" inconveniences no one.
  13. Postponed to today. Going down shortly for an hour or so.
  14. Outside of obvious extreme cases, what is too much thrust, or not enough, and why? In other words, what is an acceptable 'window'? Is this window generally common, engine to engine, or is it application specific?
  15. You can guess why that makes me laugh Yup. If the block is fractured, it'll most likely be external... and you'll know it when you thaw it out.
  16. Ah, it's coming together. Your brother is batfastard on the510relm... http://www.the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=12071 Nice cars What does Racelogic interrupt? You mentioned injectors. Anything else? Can it be configured to throttle a motor conventionally?
  17. Looks great Bo. How responsive is the AFR gauge? I'm an advocate of analog AFR and have been mostly happy with the Innovate G5. It's responsive enough to show misfires, but just barely. I'd like to see a bit more zip.
  18. Under cruise conditions, the WB02 should confirm you are in closed loop and running pretty close to 14.7:1. Medium acceleration need not be any richer than 14:1. Heavy acceleration need not be any richer than 13:1. That's where I'd start with respect to fueling.
