  2. i just want to take the time right now to say thank you for this beautiful piece of working art and i hope to be able to purchase one in the near future and that i almost literally crapped my pants when looking through the pics., you truly deserve a cookie and a pa on the back.
  3. wow, my GF is trying to talk me into buying another 240z with a turbo swap, just so she has something to work on, i dont know how you guys manage. i swear she would rather spend $100 at autozone then $100 for dinner!!
  4. no, the door shape and size as well as things like door handle placement, mounting, and armrests are completely different. their are alternatives to mounting speakers in doors BTW.

  8. one of the worst was loading my z31 onto the trailer to get crushed, this car was so damn stubborn going up the trailer, i tried rolling it up the ramps, i tried getting speed and pushing it up the ramps, finally busted out the winch hooked the cable to the radiator support and sitting their with my hand right next to the hook, the cable snapped and a wire caught the back of my hand and tore it open to the bone from the knuckle of my index finger to just above the ball of wrist, went to immediate care with a z31 on the trailer though!
  9. ive got a springfield few 30-06's and a couple marlin 30-06's, but there not for sale.
  10. looks like it mounts on the A/C compressor bracket on a zx and besides the pulleys looks like everything else is just your typical dry sump setup, alot of the parts you should be able to buy from summit, jegs, speedway, ebay and the local hose shop.
  11. i hope you like 2+2's, 2L's of displacement and a auto! your best best would be to grab a australian coupe roller and then just slap in a vg30, also america is/was the only country to get AE z's if memory serves, i have been looking into importing a z for quite some time and well, just because its the JDM version, doesnt always make it better.
  12. What about a vg33et? maybe bore it out to 3.5L and put a holset on it with 25lb's of boost, that should put you somewhere around 300WHP while still being usable on the street.
  13. you could always turbo a vg33 and have a sweet setup.
  14. if you go the way they did with a stand alone ignition and a carb it would actually be kinda easy, but would be EXTREMELY time consuming if you where to keep VVT.

  17. try and find a used set of long tubes, they can be had on craigslist for less then $60, as for the carbs, its really up to you, but i have heard many different stories and experiences from old racers who some would say the flat tops can be tuned and modified to out perform the round tops, where others say the round tops are best, but in the end i said f*ck and went EFI..
  18. alright, i should have been more clear, i would be buying back the 240z and finishing it enough to make it a driver while its being worked on, where as the z32 would be pretty much be buy motor, install harness, fab motor mounts and recreate the firewall and finish fixing the body, but i dont know what it was about the z32, but i liked the way it handled, how i could literally feel where the cars limits where and i could daily one without getting sore or worrying about if its gonna break down, i dont know, i will see when the money comes (sometime this month) and its time to buy. worse comes to worse i always have the bike to go fast and handle with on a daily basis.
  19. VH powered z32 or l28et powered 240z? I seriously cannot decide between the two. And i am not joking either. I literally cannot choose between them. (should i toss a coin?) VH this? or finish up this?

  21. it needs 14" rotors all the way around with 8 pot wilwood calipers up front and 5 pots in back with a tilton 3 pedal setup using 1" M/C's and an adjustable brake balance bar, then a 1 1/4" front sway bar and 1" rear bar using solid links, then we need a 3 way adjustable rear LSD and some BBS 3 piece 18" road racing wheels with 11" slicks all the way around.
  22. it wouldnt be too bad if they changed the front bumper, gave it some massive brakes and a turbo option.
