  1. Ok three possible things wrong with the gauges, wiring (connectors burnt wire...etc) fuses or a bad sensor, start with the easiest first and work your way up. And i have no clue what the bracket could be for, probably some accessory added in the 80's and removed in the 90's.
  2. its hard to say right now, but it will probably die down a bit, seeing as no movies are being made and the import scene seems to be turning towards road racing more and more.
  3. lookup "motor time" on ebay they send back emails in about 20-30 minutes, then they will respond every 5 minutes, plus they have some really good deals., as well as cheap shipping with there own trucks, so they can offload in residential area's! sales@motortime.biz

  5. there are so many people selling there GTR's now that there is a tranny problem its not even funny, they seem to be going for $70-80k if they arent broken.
  6. john, with all due respect the SR set all the way back is going to loosen that car up alot more and make quite a bit more power when tuned then setting back the the stock l6 and even doing a 3.1 stroker. I'm sorry, but physics and math dont lie, the sr20 weighs alot less and is about half the size of the l6, there is no way that its going to be within 1% its going to be in more like the 30-40% range. but with all due respect john, i have even done the math and the SR20 does have a fairly large advantage over the L6.
  7. yeah, but about 99% of the time even if you request that they dont pull the motor, they are going to get frustrated and pull it. theres no point of arguing what the FSM and what is actually involved.
  8. yeah, but most of the time its just easier, especially if you plan on replacing seals, oil pumps.......etc that and when it comes time for head studs then you really have to pull the whole motor out.
  9. so the dinosaurs paul, are the illustrations accurate? i mean did, they get the teeth and the eyes and general shape right? or where they completely off? im sure the cave man years and the dark ages must have been fairly neat to live through.
  10. if you can try and get the front tow hooks from an early jeep liberty my sister put one into the wall head on at about 50 and the hooks where strong enough to not even get scratched and ended up BREAKING the frame about just in front of the firewall.
  11. you can swap it in if you want, but there are alot better motors that can be built really nice for the price of the vg30dett alone. get a good 87+ vg30e block and heads and have a machine shop build you a nice boosted 350HP motor. shouldnt cost more then a few g's and you would have a decent car.
  12. alright, little update, we found are getting a one piece fiberglass camaro front body section for it, we found the brake bias problem to be that their is no balance bar between the two master cylinders, so we are going to go order one, hopefully if money comes up, we can order a bolt on 4-link for the rear end and convert to coils in the back. i am also attempting to get a fabricated coil over/control arm setup from an ARCA type race car. nothing really else happening, i might be putting it on the street though!

  16. dual stage direct port nitrous injection FTW!!!!! (i think direct port though would be your best bet on tripple carbs.)
  17. from everything i have read the v-spec is going for $120k will be 300 or so pounds lighter and i believe 100HP more or something along those lines, alot of the weight savings is taking metal components and making them CF when you replace 300 pounds worth of metal with CF sht gets expensive.

  22. man, that z was pretty tough until the tractor got a fold in it.
  23. if i had to import a windshield that far i would consider putting it in a custom crate of some sort, but make sure you either have insurance on the shipment or they package it extremely well.
  24. how much where you asking for it? i cant imagine less then $5k atleast your keeping it!
  25. usps and DHL are probably going to be the cheapest for international shipping.
