  1. Pirates of the Caribbean Who would win in a fight: Lemmy or god?
  2. white smoke = coolant/water = possible headgasket failure blue smoke = oil black smoke = running rich however white smoke can also be condensation. How long does it billow white smoke for? You said it happens about 5 min of car running. This is the time it takes for exhaust to heat up and evaporate condensation. Does the white smoke stop eventually? Does it smell sweet like coolant? Are you low on coolant?
  3. here's another good unit to use for hunting Saiga 7.62x39. It's an AK47 hunting rifle
  4. ok. fact. anything with benny hill music is hilarious. period http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw8xZiku01w&mode=related&search=

  6. I wanna see some pics of the damage now! And I don't mean the Z. I think your best course of action would be to get naked pictures of her and plaster them over the internet. THen also hook me up with a date so I can show her a very crappy time and the best mediocre sex she's ever had. (assuming she is over 18. Otherwise the previous statements are withdrawn immediately)
  7. chris: i don't hunt, unless you count range paper targets as elusive victims! drhunt: i've fired a 375H&H, and I've held the rounds in my hand... 14 rounds? holy crap!
  8. Chris, pretty good for a first time out! Remember, if you are using military surplus rounds, clean out the gun immediately after shooting. The old milsurp ammo is corrosive, and will form rust. also, register on calguns.net, you'll get lots of inof
  9. yep. standard 7.92x57 is still sold.
  10. yes, big 5, 20 bucks. case can also be a soft case with a lock you can feed through the zipper clip. still technically a locked compartment call irvington arms, find out
  11. here's the info directly from california's attorney general: http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/
  12. If the gun has no serial numbers engraved (ie. from US importer), it doesn't really get registered. However, legality of it is that if he has a Curio & Relic license, he can legally sign it out without going through an FFL dealer. As far as legal registration of rifles in california, a licensed dealer (gun shop, etc) will hold rifle for 11 days during a background check. You are finger printed, fill out info, submit driver's license, etc for review. Then you pick it up in 11 days. transporting your firearm means that it has to be in a locked compartment. Rifle case, or locking trunk with no access through the hatch. Either way, ammo and magazines have to be transported ina separate compartment. very nice piece. Call Irvington Arms in fremont, and you can get legality info on such transfers there. The guys are cool and won't hound on you if you did something wrong. They're also a good place for milsurp ammo. 40927 Grimmer Boulevard Fremont, CA 94538 Phone: (510) 226-7910
  13. ... sorry dude, I don't know if you've seen housing prices in california, but what you can get in alabama for $400,000 will barely get you a decent townhouse/condo here. To the other suggesting pranks and such... why am I being laid back and complacent about it right now? Because I'm too old and too paranoid to be making enemies. I've pulled stupid stunts before, like spraying muriatic acid on a car, etc. As I've mentioned, I have nothing against pot or pot smokers, just like cigarette smokers. Just do it where it doesn't bother me or others. If you're gonna toke up, just hotbox your apartment or something. Funny story. In california, by law you cannot smoke indoors unless it's your own house/apartment. This goes for apartment hallways, etc. A year ago I was doing laundry, and this indian dude is standing in the apartment hallway by a window, right under a 'no smoking' sign, puffing away on a Marlboro. I look at him, look at the sign. He takes a drag, and says "Oh, that sign doesn't mean anything." To which I replied "clearly not. I'm glad my lungs agree with you"
  14. no, they're not nice and talkative laid back people. they're assholes. i've tried being civil before. when I asked them politely to tone it down at 2am while trying ot sleep, the bitch yelled back "why don't you come down and say that to my face?" i responded with that i'd rather sleep.
  15. So assholes below me are smoking weed on a regular basis. In their bedroom, with windows open. So the smoke goes up into my bedroom, and I have to shut the window so I don't smell that ♥♥♥♥. Right now it's very warm in here, and i want some cooling. However, I can't open the window and turn my fan on, because then my room will be filled with smell of burnt weed Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on pot smokers, and for that matter, I don't care, but be damn respectful of others. Stoners aren't generally aggressive, but these neighbors are assholes. Loudmouths in a tight apartment complex, drunk yelling parties at 2am on saturday. My options are... 1. police. 2. apt manager. 3. baked goods. by that, I'm not making enemies, and leaving a note suggesting they use the brownie mix box I provide to bake their weed and eat it, rather than smoke it. THoughts?
  16. the SKS prices are higher in california. they normally sell for 100-150 in states with less gun control. i paid $350 after fees for my russian sks. then again, it's in pristine condition
  17. .303 ammo is really expensive. if you buy quality stuff, it's 20 bucks for 20 rounds at most stores. I dunno, dollar per bullet = expensive. milsurp is cheaper but still expensive compared to mosins you can get a mosin 91/30 (that's 1891 design, retooled in 1930), in pretty damn good condition. an ATI monte carlo stock for 50 bucks. I bought 300 rounds of milsurp ammo for it from aimexpress.com for $30. It's pretty nice and clean ammo too. Also, 7.62x54r is pretty much the same as 30-06 and .303 you can also find enfields chambered for .308 as well. if you're looking to spend 300-400, I'd opt for the savage rifles big5 carries
  18. the guy i got it from tossed in a tool box with a bunch of spare tips for teh welder. I tested it out this weekend by welding up my turndown bolt conversion on my mosin rifle
  19. safety? lol. we don't need safety! b ut yeah, it's not an easy release from safety if it's engaged. sks's in california run about 200 for yugo, 230 for chinese, 300+ russian
  20. i bought mine from a hybridz member about 4 years ago, it was already configured with halfshaft input shafts vs. the cv shafts... my diff's not out of the car yet, so i can't check for you right now
  21. chris, if you want, you're welcome to tag along with me tot eh range, so you can test out the mosin nagant for yourself
  22. i'd say miata. sure, go ahead, make gay remarks. i drove a neon before that too. and a mazda3 now
  23. the q45 diff is a viscous diff, mine's a clutch from '88.
