  1. If he's gone for the next seven months, what's 25 days going to matter? Scam...
  2. If you have or can get a multimeter, check for voltage before and after the switch to isolate the problem. Sorry I can't be more specific but I'm not at all familiar with the engine.
  3. Is it just me or are OTM's and gijonas's links to a fake turbo thing?
  4. I'd wait till you hear from him, but if he tells you to bend it your self you can get a propane torch from ACE or other hardware store for ~$15
  5. A vice and a torch? Just bend it a little at a time and test fit it. Or else contact John and see if he'll do it for you or send you a new mount.
  6. I was walking through the parking lot at school and noticed a grand am's wheels Looks like directional fan blades to me
  7. Beta Motorsports has 'em I think. PM John
  8. You can use them on the front but with the rear trailing arm set up on ZXs it doesn't work in the back.
  9. I read about the Genesis over the summer and Hyundai is really pulling out all the stops for this one. Their goal is to compete with Mercedes-Benz and other luxury car makes. I looks really nice and 375HP is no small claim but I don't know if people will be willing to give up the name of a Mercedes or Jag or whatever to save a couple thousand. I think it is going to open up the luxury sedan to a whole new market.
  10. How much fab. experience/ equipment do you have? If I were you I'd source prices for the materials and see if you could save some by buying the kit. Some re-engineering will probably (definitely) be in order but it might be worth the price for the materials. You could always do what Alf did and start with scratch
  11. Best sound system you could put in a car. Ever.
  12. What happened to the other box, did the backfire just pop the lid off? I was wondering how much flex there would be in the 'glass box, sounds like there is a bit especially in high temps. What kind of adhesive did you use on the seams? It looks trick thought! Your car is always an inspiration Hans.
  13. Do you have any more information on the Coates engine? I read their site and am very interested
  14. Are you subscribed to the aero section? I'd take a look there if your making a race dedicated car.
  15. I'd have been up for one but I'm pretty broke for the next 4-5 months with school and all, not to mention I'm quite a ways out from body work. Maybe in a year?
  16. Wasn't it a weak link in security or something? I seem to remember something about hackers being mentioned, but maybe I'm wrong.
  17. Hmmm... I was thinking, maybe the general population is vastly inferior at parking. I know when I was learning how to drive it always helped me to park next to cars as it was easier to judge the distance from a car rather than the line. Maybe all these people never grew out of that stage?
  18. You mean people actually drive their project cars? Actually I didn't even think about that. It could explain some of it, but on the whole the car's body, etc. looks less finished than the engine bay. Who knows, maybe that's next on his list?
  19. The engine looks superb, but some he cut some corners on other parts of the car. The first one I noticed it the rough, open cut in the hood where he had to notch it to fit over the upper rad support. Also, looking at the suspension, he painted the struts but left the cracked up rubber bushings? Edit: I just re-read that and I really wasn't trying to sound nit picky. His work sure surpasses any of mine! lol
  20. Get some orange cones and put them in the spaces on either side of your car when you park. You could get a jack hammer and bust up the concrete to make it look more convincing, too.
  21. I wonder what his reaction would have been if you said you were putting a 302 in there? lol
