Well the story starts off on last wensday, my dad calles me telling me about a 260z thats about 1 hour away for sale. I called the seller and talked to the nice lady about the car. She told me that she had owned the car since 73 when she bought it new. I asked about the magical 4 letter word RUST! She said that there was none! The next day i went to look at the car, to my supprise it was in remarkable shape! The car had been parked in the garage since 91. The clock still works, it has the original jack and tool kit, and the original spare tire! It also has a (custom?) 4 barrrel intake. The only down side is that it has a sun roof put in, and the passenger side has been backed into. It is the most solid car ive ever seen in Tennessee, or atleast in my area. So enough talking on with the pics!

Its co2 injection to lower the intake temps, interesting. I wander how long a bottle of co2 lasts when it is used in this application. In paintball, the tanks run out fairly fast when relesed into just the air.

Well, my z currently has a tree shaped indention in the driver side door/ quarter panel.

I have a 95 s10 that is similar. Someone tried to make my truck into a ZR2 and they did a fairly good job. Like Mul-ti-pass said, get a mechanic to check the front suspension. I had a lower ball joint go out on me while I was driving, it wasnt a pretty sight. Im not sure if my truck is an odd ball, but i dont get 20mpg. The last time i averaged it, it was around 16mpg. Ofcourse it wouldnt be the first time I would be wrong. IMO its a nice truck and i would buy it if i were you.

I was under the impression that the 260 vin started with RLS30. The add says that the vin is HLS30-158581, so it may be a late 240, or an early 280.

well, i guess solid works hates me. when i use the "save as" and try to save it as a .jpg it doesnt list .jpg as a file type. i fugured out how to copy and paste the pic into microsoft work, but thats about it. i beleve that im also using the same version as you OTM. im real good friends with the cad teacher at my high school and she gave me the trial disk to upload to my computer.

when i was first messing around with solid works, i made a wheel but i cant for the life of me figure out how to render to darn thing.

im a senior in high school, your way of going about an engineering degree is what im wanting to do. if you were to do it over again would you do the same thing over again (get your associates degree first)?

im glad that your o.k. those situation do tend to leave pucker marks in the seat. i hate to tell you, but from my experiences the car is totaled. but the insurance company may think diffrent.

hang with it slower is better than no progress at all, just do it a step at a time and have fun with it.

it looks to be a nice straight body, but there is no telling what is hiding under that primer. good luck with your project and hopefuly you will get paint on it this summer.

the body in my opinoin would be more trouble than its worth to fix. i dont know about the wheel and left rear suspension. the tire is touching the spring and rubbing. when i looked at the a-arm it doesnt look bent, nor does the strut.i think it broke the stub axle when it hit, because i can pull on the wheel and it moves off of the spring. i guess i will find out tomorrow when i start sizing up the damage. this has been an eye opener at how fast thing can go bad, especialy when your acting stupid and disrespecting a car that demands the upmost respect. i thank god that i walked away with only a couple scratches.

idk right now, im going to have to think about it. to tell the truth i dont want to right now. more pics......

its totaled, trust me. although it is my dream car, i guess it wasnt meant to be. hughdogz- thanks that cheered me up a little. no i wasnt able to drive it home i was barely able to roll it into the garage. when the wrecker towed it home the tires were rubbing badly. so i guess the suspension is shot.

the roof has a crease in it. yeah that is a layer of kitty hair hiding a rusted out fender. i always knew something was fishy with that fender. thanks for the support everyone.
