Really why does a muffler cost as little as 20 bucks and resonators start at about 70 (summitracing). And my real question is I have a 2.5 inch straight pipe exhaust with a Megan racing muffler on the end (looks something like this http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/i..._Exhaust_b.jpg ) but its kinda loud. I was under the impression that a resonator would do a better job of controlling the sound. Its too loud for me right now. i usually scrape off the heavy stuff then pressure wash. works reallly good. most import thing is cover your distributor, afm (air flow meter), and tps(throttle position sensor). a few weeks ago i screwed mine up pressure washing it.

i used the painless but not for my z. i bought a gm 12 circuit from painless and yes it replaces all my wiring in my truck. from taillights to horn and motor. its a good harness. ohh yah no grounds for anything (maybe its like that for all harnesses though) BUT my roomate bought the summit one and i swear that its as good or better than my painless. I believe he bought one with more circuits and they also are labeled and have bigger gauge wire. I would not hesitate to buy it. And both companys have great customer service/support so i would say go for it. Hope that helps

I have a set of unknown brand ARE Libre Style rims 14x5.5 the only markings on them say US TRANS AM and 14X5.5. I was looking at the page below and they dont seem to be the ARES but also dont look to be the no name ones. i have a 77 280z that ive had for over a year and it has ran perfect ever since. yesterday i decided to powerwash my engine bay cause its filthy (not the first time) but since then my car wouldnt rev past 2200, so i dried out both TPS and AFM, after that the car would rev fine but now my car sputters at idle and when driving. sounds almost like misfiring. i changed the spark plugs/wires already. i kinda have a feeling its the TPS and i wanted to know if theres a way to test it. any advice would help thanks.

zmanco is right the oil is just a heat transfer. i bought the cheapest 10w30 from autozone. it wouldnt hurt to use it. only used about half a quart for all 4 corners. i dont own a zx so i also dont know about the spacer. but i posted that showing that it wouldnt be unusual if you didnt need it

theres a big plug/cable behind the tach. check if its there by looking in the engine bay coming out to the tranny, mines orange not sure if all are ill try and get a picture,i used a picture i found on here ( hope noone minds) , you can see the cable hanging into the tunnel coming from under the brake booster, it has that orange sheild around it

sounds like they havent been run for awhile, check the registrations see how far back they go. you dont want to have to pay a grip of $$$$ for backed up registration. or you can always use them as parts cars =) just keep that in mind and let him know so maybe he will lower the price ;P

quick question, did you get the brass freeze plugs as a package? cause the only kit i found was steel freeze plugs. where did you get them and do you have the part#??
