  1. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass, I was hinting at the fact that it takes little from an RB to get to that level, or not as much as it would on plenty of other cars. Sorry if it didn't come across as well as I had hoped.
  2. I was wondering about this too a while back, but i had no lead on a bolt pattern for a T56. A friend of mine installed one in his camaro and got it for a good price, so I was curious.
  3. I can draw the diagrams for each one too =)
  4. Yeah I recommend doing a "Shadows & Highlights" and then playing with the "Levels" Brings some detail back into the picture.
  5. I don't think it's a necessity. Your car seems to be doing just fine. Don't use that as an excuse to lose to a high powered z06
  6. funny, there's a company that sells them by the name of "ol skool" yours are probably SSR Starsharks. Keep em.
  7. hate to say it, but you two look too much alike.
  8. Revised some of the diagram. Cheers.
  9. yeah, you start to notice that it's not even worth it to titillate those kids after a while. just a waste of oxygen and gas.
  10. So was I, and the blades on the inside ARE bigger too, but for some reason, I was assured that it has a lower flow. Also, on the topic of temps. Which thermostat will work in the RB30? Do I get a nismo/oem RB25 or RB26 thermostat?
  11. I'm willing to bet the price is way more than the 289 AUD I saw them for on calaisturbo.com.au. The unit is around 2 Kg. Steel inner, Aluminum Outer (0330SA) So shipping shouldn't be too much. And for some reason my customs charges are less from AUS than they usually are from U.S. Next paycheque is balancer and main bolts. Then I can do some machining on the bottom end for f**k sakes. I need that engine head to do anything else
  12. you guys should try this: http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/powermate.htm you can set it so that a tap = spacebar = cell lock or unlock left turn = down command = decrease cell value right turn = up command = increase call value that way you can drive and adjust with one hand =) It can be had for 35 bucks online. It also allows you to program any option to any command (except for some windows-specific ones like alt+f4). It works on Mac and PC. Has a glowing ring that actually gains or loses intensity based on input value and turn-direction. Someone give it a try and see what's up =)
  13. yeah, some people use the suburban coils too. a lot of people tend to think they're exactly the same, but part numbers and MSDS info shows different. they're infact a little less powerful, but would probably work on a z06 anyways. I'm thinking of buying those ACCEL high power'd corvette coils. they look pretty good @ only 10 dollars more than an AC Delco one. Then again, the AC Delco ones can be had from anywhere. Is it a no-no to mix-match coils on long trips, incase something happens? I guess buying 7 of them and keeping a small spare in the tow-box ain't such a bad idea. hmmmm.
  14. Good point. I'm curious to know if using those yellow ACCEL high energy ignition coils with 50,000 volts would be better than these buick units.
  15. great! they also have a blak-kote which is an automotive undercarriage protectant, like the bed liner, but not as rough. the person who sold me the rust bullet is one of the only distributors in Canada, and he actually used to work for the POR company, and switched sides after he came in contact with Silver Bullet while doing chemical research on various protectant paints and armour coats.
  16. Sorry to bust'em. but does anyone know which will fit an RB20 or 25 transmission? In the case that you have one that works, I'll take it (provided I don't buy one before that time... and I'm a different brand on ebay, but I'd like to purchase from people within hybridz if I could =) ) Raff. EDIT: GAHHH nevermind. bought a full one piece billet one today for a good deal. Sorry to bother. Great offers though!
  17. So Nickels Performance Warehouse tells me that they don't have the balancer, even after the president of Romac Co. told me they should have received their order a while ago. I'm probably going to just buy it from VPW along with the main studs when I get my next pay cheque. Gotta keep some money in that wallet.
  18. Adobe Illustrator CS2. Haven't upgraded to CS3 yet, as I'd like to format when I do because my system is based around my most used software applications. When I get home today, I'll edit the picture so that one wire is protruding from the box (internal connections) and so that it says low-impedance. Cheers.
  19. that's why they sort of angle out from top to middle to bottom, but replacing the ascii-code image with a real jpg would be a bit better. time to go to work EDIT: New diagram attached.
  20. Same here And I'll do anything I can to help.
  21. Im curious to know if that would degrade performance in any way in regards to compatability with any other mods that would be done to the same engine. Is there any disadvantage to going this route? Ahh ok, i edited this post. going back to my EFI book, i reread some stuff, and after looking at the 7pin connector, I was wondering why one would not just use Individual coils like those on the Chevy Corvette. Sure they're 20 dollars each, but if you were to get a Buick V6 aftermarket high performance version, it would be @100. so 20 dollars a piece for corvette z06 coils seems pretty good, don't it?
