  1. great stuff glad you got'er goin. if you dont like the mounts, why not just take them off and measure, and make some new ones when you get a weekend or two? You can always put the mount back in before closing up shop if you don't finish.
  2. guys, he doesn't have money. im sure that if he had money to fix the bearing in any way shape or form, he would. But even the cheapest of methods is probably not within the budget, and I can appreciate someone having to let go of a project due to things that are a bit more important. go to school and try to keep a spot for the z somewhere (old persons house, pay them 50 a month or something, as long as you have it). or if it doesnt mean the world to you, I'm sure you can find a better car somewhere else at a later date. Heck, I would try selling your new goodies first to get it back together. if that doesnt work, then store it if u really want that car.
  3. jun and tomei pumps are 1000 in change n1 pumps are 220 in change standard pumps are 150 in change apparently n1 pumps are made of cheaper metal (??? from SAU boards) and are more brittle and prone to developing small hairline cracks that will decrease oil pressure and pumping volume. I might order the N1 and call it a day. just make sure you get the crank collar if you do. I think Rb25's don't need them though, but look into it!
  4. because ppl now have more options and potential government money is going to private importers who take cash rather then dealerships who pay and charge taxes.
  5. lol. how ya like them lemons and hot-damn, I'm an excellent guesser.
  6. wtf drink is that? a 4 litre jug of lemonade?
  7. LOL, i was just kidding, I didn't know what was going on behind the scenes.
  8. well a nissan parts assistant manager told me "i can order whatever you want, but you have to pay upfront, because it's a special order" so i did... and they're coming. =) i asked him why others weren't able, and he said "cause they probably didn't go online to the worldwide catalogue" i can tell you part numbers, just tell me what parts you need man =)
  9. well, i would just be like. "hey, ... what'cha doing in your room?!" "NOTHING!" "if nothing means touching yourself, am I going to come in and see you doing nothing?" just make sure he doesn't say yes. try and talk him out of saying yes. and if he refuses to say no, open the door, and say "i thought you were doing nothing!" or one day when your wife breaks into the door, he might have his shlong in his hand, and pull the old... "uhhh, hey.... mom.... does this thing over here look ok? i was curious so i was rubbing to make it come out" then you know there's a problem on your hands, and his, if he does it too often.... (but at 13... what is "too often", anways?)
  10. you could buy the parts at any nissan dealer. heck, i'm willing to bet it's only the housing that's different on the outside. I bet the inside is all the same... possibly the same as N/A Z32 starter or something. anyways, open up your old starter and take a pic of what looks to be the bad news, and i'll get you a part number. RB25, correct? from what year/model if you can provide that info.
  11. BTW, whats the reason for the Starter number? Do you fellas not have starters or yours have died? I can get the part number for any part within the starter for any RB engine (except RB30) if you'd like, that way you can possibly rebuild your own if you dare.
  12. i think the only connection you need is a full payment upfront. here's a part number for the GTR/N1 bare engine assembly 10102-AA450 i'm sure a complete block has a part number somewhere
  13. let me know what you find. it doesn't come with the water pump underdrive pulley though. That's one thing that is included in the ATi price, I believe. However, I think for city driving it should be ok, or if you run an N1 water pump. Apparently the N1 water pumps flow/pump less than the regular GTR pumps so that at high RPM it isn't over stressing itself, or pumping the water too fast for it to suck out any heat and transfer it to the rad. I think that's the proper setup for high-RPM endurance races, or the desired effect. Atleast that's what I've been told on the RB30 boards, even though the N1 water pump fins are quite larger.
  14. Hi guys. I'm going to be appending to this as we go, with variances in engines and such. Nissan has a habit of making two part numbers share the same physical part, in a sense. So I'll take the list from Nico forums and post it here first, I'll clean it up later. Part numbers for RB26DETT only, unless otherwise noted. I noted that the RB20E might be something to look at. Did it have the same transmission as the RB20DE? Could it be possible that the RB20 starter fits the RB25 Transmission? can anyone confirm or denounce?
  16. ok I took a look at my Bosch Alternator. This is what it says on the label BOSCH 9 120 061 000 U-KK --> 14v 30/70A 9 202 5871 Made in Australia that's exactly how it's laid out on the only label I could find on the thing.
  17. napa canada maybe i should ask for a remanufactured unit. he said it's not a part they carry, and those numbers are their new listings, so they're at the distribution warehouse. could be a "special order"
  18. i got a quote for $130 CDN on the starter and $32 CDN on the slave.
  19. Don't make me bust out my pics! *shakes fist* however, I have all the panels I need to make the car like new =) I just need to find the time, and the frame rails to make it happen =D
  20. I just called Napa. This is a list of the cars that these parts came on, straight from the source. The parts we're looking at fit the following cars: Slave Cylinder: 80 - 85 Celica and Corolla Starter: 200sx: 77-83 510: 68-81 521: 71,72 610: 73-76 620: 72-79 710: 74-77 720: 80-83 720: 83-85 (2.4 Litre, Pick-up) Man, I'm like the parts number/cross reference whore on this forum.
