  1. Also, you can use a larger electric impact gun, which often times have more torque than the air-powered ones. which threadlocker should be used? Red/Permanent, or Blue/Medium? Red can be broken loose with an impact gun anyways, so I'm just wondering if it's the one to use... EDIT: Another question... Fidanza states that the flywheel bolts going on an Aluminum flywheel need to be torqued higher than the standard steel-flywheel specification... but they don't make mention of how tight... Anyone wanna enlighten me?
  2. if the CAS was sprayed or the cover was made to look like aluminum, it would be so inconspicuous on the yellow car, ron! or you could make a joke of it and put a fat "SOOPER HORSE POWER MODULAT-R" sticker on it, with some funky kanji text beside it. you know... "for increased element of power engine, and evoluation of performancing". all that aside, I looked in my Z31 and saw that it has a CAS wheel that I'm willing to bet is identical to the Z32, so if one needs to have some spare wheels to modify...
  3. I think you have it backwards. They make you want to pull the plug after you've found out what's wrong with them.
  4. LOL. I thought the one where he made the huge head and hands peeking of snow peeking over the hill that scared his dad as he got out of the car was the best one! BUT ... post some comics, damnit!
  5. Doctor Talib Mumbwasa?! YOU KNOW HIM!? he owes me 50 million.
  6. i just clicked on it with another computer, works fine :-/ "Kenyan, 73, kills leopard with bare hands"
  7. heres the latest. if you look at the profile, it's turning more and more into the datsun s30 again. I mean, no more butt stickin out from the hatch slope, it's not a smooth transition into the tail section. the 350z was smooth too but it had a jutt that stuck out. I'm not too fond of some of the cues though. I love the super fat ass though! http://www.worldcarfans.com/9081009.006/nissan-370z-latest-spy-photos--rendering
  8. lol. black bears would have the barrel of your guns curve themselves because even they would be scared and try to run away! Either way, beating a black bear with a stick is one thing... How about killing a leopard with one hand and a quick tug. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8317484/?GT1=6657
  9. your work is awesome, but since this is an opinion thread, I think that is going to make the hood look really really ugly... I'm sorry Terry, I love eveything about the car, except for that hood addition. The profile is just not as menacing as the rest of the car. Maybe a new hood altogether? More work but I mean... has that ever stopped you? lol.
  10. that involves rev matching and making a lot of noise in some cases. in ontario, cops will book you for that, but heck, i'll take a 200 dollar ticket and show up to a court session and get the case tossed out rather than do a clutch a second time!
  11. The z32 have an 8 bolt crank plate? make sure you buy just the clutch/pressure plate and not a flywheel + clutch pack combo if you go that route.
  12. i agree with mike. this is just another option. If someone has a stock pile of B210 radiators somewhere on planet earth, and one of the people that know him has an RB Z and frequents this forum, it could be possible to retain the stock look and have an RB that is unsuspecting and might be right for someone's taste. hey, it COULD happen! It's just more "valid" information. so there's nothing wrong with that at all.
  13. Those Canadians sure do know how to take out the opposition.
  14. does that mean i spend too much time here if i have 3000 posts and some of the original hybrideers have like... 500? in 2016 someone is gonna start (or bump-quote me in) this thread and remind me of my 39,000 posts and that there's flying cars outside now, or something.
  15. If it's a convertable and a z that you want. and you want an S30... that looks like a respectable buy for a 6000 dollar Z as far as finding one in good shape with good paint and an easy to drive carb setup. The fact that it's convertable, whether appreciable or not, sorta lends itself to the price as a good selling point, because it's custom, looks decent if not almost dealer-option like in this case, and it works/doesnt leak (or sew it seams! LOL *ahem*). look at it for rust in the common places, and if it's solid, I'd do it if it was one of my better options. I can appreciate the work and the look of it, but I'll take a hard-top any day.
  16. I'll start. I think this is my favourite cause it's the one that prompted me to make this thread. I love Calvin n' Hobbes. Been reading them since I was 12 !
  17. mull, a clear indicator that your project has been sleeping for too long is the dust on your RB26 deck. LOL good show!
  18. oil catch can? pcv valve stuck open? im deleting the PCV valve hose to my intake on my z31, i saw what it does to the entire intake tract. It basically works it's way down to the turbo if it's not been changed for 21 years. Turbo is clean. Burned a bit of oil. Sounds like your PCV is opening at high rpm, or if it's indeed oil, you may have a ring leak. Don't want to alarm you, but sometimes gaskets only show their cracks at high rpm when they tend to split/expand.
  19. contact this ebay seller here... he has designed and manufactured/distributed a number of filters. it may pay to talk with him and discuss what would work best and whether or not he knows what designing a filter for max air-flow is all about. http://cgi.ebay.ca/NEW-Twist-to-my-Velocity-Stack-Filters-FULL-CUSTOM_W0QQitemZ150208910293QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116
  20. it seems like someone who posts these weird links for people to click on is trying to get the localhost's smtp mail server to send out spam mail using hybridz's hosting package as an outlet. I would watch this guy. His links probably contain phishing scripts.
  21. Thanks for this thread Paul + Contributors =)
  22. May I suggest a Flex-hone before installing those rings to proper gap too. They work considerably well for 30-50 bucks. I find they give a better finish than the stone-holding ones with 3 arms that are spring loaded... Nothing like a fresh new bit of cylinder to bite into to seal it up a little better than new rings alone.
