  1. Wow, that is incredible. Is that a cage you built Jon? Reminds me of the red 350z a year or two ago that flipped over the tire wall and a fence.
  2. I love the magic dorito motors. A good friend of mine is a die hard RX-7 guy (FD's in particular). They have lasted him pretty well. But as stated above, if you're just getting started in mechanics, or don't have a lot of funds to keep it in good running order, stick with pistons. Otherwise, just run the motor super rich and enjoy the smoke/fireballs that ensue
  3. While I love Rock and techno, I'm also a big fan of good quality music in whatever form. Some of my favorites: (Blackhawk Down)
  4. No problem. But all I did was type "240z pillar pod" into the search bar. Was on the first page.
  5. Yeah the only thing I could think of was the suspension. Amazing metal work. But seems kind of like silver plating a turd... But even if it is just for the looks, I don't think its a wasted endeavor.
  6. Which fountain is that? We saw the little stair stepping fountain inside some building. Can't remember where, but it was between a pair of escalators. Hopefully going back sometime soon, although probably for just a day or less. I'll have to look into those food recommendations
  7. Fair enough! Still looks fantastic and is pushing me over the edge to get one of these vs the victory spoiler.
  8. looks great! Any chance you could snap a more complete picture of the car? Just have yet to see a good shot of how it flows with the body from about the doors back.
  9. I know it's old news, but I still find this hilarious! http://www.thefump.com/embedded_player.swf?fumpID=1236 (turn up the volume!)
  10. Flew out for the weekend to visit a good friend of mine. I had never been to Chicago before, and have to say I really enjoyed that city. My friend in the middle. Was awesome weather there too. I look forward to going back.

  12. Good point... hmm it seems the "search button threads" are magnets to get things answered. Maybe he's onto something there?
  13. both threads which answer your questions are first page of this section! I typed "wide zg flare" into the search and who woulda thunk it, this came up. (about 5 threads down from this one) http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/88491-wider-zg-flare/page__hl__wide%20zg%20flares As for the owner, he posted those pictures a couple more threads down here under Matte or Semi Gloss finishes thread Anyway just remember that searching will always give you a faster answer than waiting for someone to 'maybe' respond. EDIT: beat me to it.
  14. Thanks, thats what I thought. Always was a bit nervous of people suggesting "just use a 280z grill". Now I know (btw I have a 280z and will be using 240z signals with appropriate air dam)
  15. I don't think its quite as easy to swap over 280z turn signals onto a 240 is it? There are metal brackets that the housings screw into which are spot welded to the car. The grill itself doesn't really have any kind of mounting for the turn signals. Unless I'm mistaken?
  16. GOLD! I have dual citizenship, and live in the US....but I've been wearing a Canadian jersey throughout the games Certainly deserved this. Close game, but the US got out played. EDIT: jerry, did you chose the wrong smiley? I dont think you meant the rollyeyes lol
  17. Give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He's a very active member here and I know that he has had plenty of transactions without a hickup. This needs to be taken up further through private messages or email I think, since he gave you both options in his post. Smearing another members name without attempting to resolove things between the two of you first is bad form. EDIT: I don't really understand your question. Are you asking what happens if you paid for an item and the guy stiffs you? You lose. Paypal does have a good service for bad transactions and I would advise you take the situation up with them if it is indeed the case. The forum isn't going to cover costs or anything if that's what you're getting at.
  18. I also have a set of these. Hopefully there's someone willing to buy them. Wondering if painting the centers black or gold might attract more people?
  19. If anyone has flown into KGEG (Spokane), Fairchild AFB is only 3-5 miles down the road, with a similar lenght runway in the same orientation. Except Spokane has an intersecting runway, so is fairly easy to distinguish. On my first Stage check with our chief instructor (About 15 hours at this point), I was coming back from the north and got a traffic advisory which just so happened to be directly over where the AFB is. (Still about 15 miles out) sure enough I drifted towards the airport that I saw, never questioning the proximity of the two airfields. My instructor just watched it all happen, and asked me a couple times if I had the airport in sight. I was only about 5 miles away at this point and was tunneled towards the runway i would be dealing with...supposedly. He finally asked me what the runway numbers were to Spokane's intersecting runway. I blurted out the correct response and finally it clicked that I was looking at a single run way. haha wasn't ever to the point where it was dangerous, but obviously had to re-do that stage check. I'm very thankful to that instructor that he didn't just correct me when he saw it coming probably a good 10 minutes prior. I learned a few valuable lessons about Awareness that day. And for those who like to just sit and listen to the Radio... - This JFK controller has become quite famous with the multiple situations caught thanks to LiveATC.net
  20. Taking out the dash is pretty intimidating if you've never done it before, but it really isn't that hard. Just time consuming. Like posted above you will probably have to drill out that last screw if it really is stripped out. A quick look above and under the dash will reveal which bolts hold the dash on. Should be a couple on each side of the dash, as well as a couple by the center of the dash above the transmission tunnel. Also I think a few on top underneath the front cowl piece that you are having trouble taking off. Once you get the dash loose its just a matter of disconnecting all the wires/connections. Best to do as much of this ahead of time so you're not straining to disconnect plugs and support the dash at the same time. Definitely helps to have a friend help. Good luck!
  21. Are these still around hidden somewhere?
  22. Not a satin paint, just what my car looked like before clear coat. I kinda liked it...
