  1. So taking a kind of last minute trip to Tokyo tomorrow on a 24 hour layover. Staying in Narita, but I'll be making a trip into Tokyo as well. Anyone know of any place to look for interesting parts? I've been to UpGarage and Super Autobacs last time and those were great. I'll be stopping there again for sure.
  2. I think you'd get a lot of support for euro style tail lights. (red/amber). I know I would buy a set!
  3. The later Z's, like my '75 have individual adjustable vents in the center. Perhaps using one of those pieces would be an easier swap for you? Btw the speakers look fantastic
  4. This piece is growing on me A LOT as well. I'd like to see pictures of course, but I'd be more interested in a reasonably priced FG part as well. Sure compliments the car nicely...
  5. Right here of course, plus: AirlinePilotForums.com PacificNorthWestFlying.com Northwestnissans.com Nissanpacific.com WMexpressway.net Also Clubsi.com for laughs
  6. I'd buy new ones. They're not necessarily cheap, but at least you wont have to worry about them in the future. I've had to take those pins out a few times now and it's always been a pain. I'll be buying new ones this next time around.
  7. Personally I think its an impressive motor....
  8. ^^ Thank you! I gave it a shot and it certaintly looked like it would work. Even though cleaning it up till it looked like new, and checking all the connections, still wouldn't power up. I'm guessing it's just kicked the bucket. There is a deck on ebay right now though that's missing a faceplate. I'm hoping it will sell for cheap.
  9. I used the lip off of a 94 Rx-7, and modified it to fit on my MSA type 2 airdam. Though it's not a zx airdam, I would imagine you could get similar results.
  10. So I have a fairly nice CD player I bought off of craigslist. Go figure it doesnt work:fmad:. Basically it won't accept power when wired up. A guy I took it to said it was hopelessly corroded. I took it apart myself tonight and it doesn't seem too bad to me... tell me what you think. Is there a way to clean the corrosion without making it worse?

  12. I used to have my stereo mounted just below the heater controls like most other people. It got stolen though, and when I got my new stereo I decided to relocate it. My center vents don't work and decided to experiment with the stock plastic housings. I'm very pleased with how it turned out:mrgreen:. Perfect height for adjusting everything without having to lean forward at all. Great up-front view as well. I'll be using the area below the heater to mount a satellite radio unit and boost controls in the future. Here's some pictures of the process.
  13. Thats BEAUTIFUL! Awesome to see yet another person going with a new stock z color. (mine is 2004 350z daytona blue)
  14. haha a couple years ago Me, Challenger, and Woldson all found L28et's within I think 3 days in the same junkyard. That was fun times... Also found a P90 in the back of a minivan in the same junkyard.
  15. Turned into more of a rant than I thought haha Anyway earlier this year I decided to cut out HybridZ and several other forums I was on that I found were taking up far too much time when school and work were getting pretty busy. Can't say it really made a whole lot of sense, looking back on it anyway. Though it did end up saving quite a bit of time. Or at least reduced options for procrastinating Ended up being kind of a crazy rest of the year. Had to put my transfer for University on hold a bit longer while I worked on my GPA. Had some classes I took from back in High School and unfortunately didn't care about the grades as much as I could have. That extra time allowed me to keep my job at the airport here working for an airline. Have had some fun opportunities for travel including a 5 day trip to Juneau, Anchorage(well just the airport), Mauii, and San Francisco. Hopefully more of that to come. lol Plenty of other bs to keep me busy though, like dating my best friend and somehow thinking that would be a good idea. Had my stereo stolen out of my driveway too. Though probably was my fault since my passenger door wasn't locking and I didn't bother to fix it. Then just a couple weeks later someone decided to bust in the passenger door window, without even trying the door. Go figure, nothing was taken either. Finally have been able to get excited about working on my car again. Got a new stereo and satellite radio I'm working on installing. Hoping to dive into suspension too before the big multi forum Nissan meet in Seattle here at the end of March. Also there were several people wanting to get a hold of me about a 280z I was parting out earlier this year. I sent out a PM to most of the people I was in contact with around that time, but if I missed anyone, shoot me a PM. I still have most of the parts. Good to be back!
  16. I got freaked out one night after a little freeway "tuning", I pulled into a gas station and popped the hood to tweak some things and noticed one of the rubber hoses on the fuel rail leaking... Even though it was evaporating well before anything hit the exhaust, it still scared me enough to always keep a fire extinguisher in the car. It's not mounted anywhere convenient yet, but at least I have some peace of mind. Really sucks to hear about that dime.
  17. WOW. I'm surprised there wasn't a burnout shot...
  18. I think its definitely a worthwhile endeavor. Like said above, write it for Z cars, but make the concepts clear enough to be used on any platform.
