  4. I've been quoted $120 each for brand new "NASCAR" quality shafts. I am going to assume that our shaft lengths will be the same? Tim
  5. If you're unloading it, I'll definitely be intersted in the hatch!!!!! Tim
  6. Could be the sending unit, or the wire from the sender to the gauge could be grounding somewhere. Disconnect it from the sender and see what happens. If it drops to 0, then th esender is bad, if not, the wire is touching earth somewhere. Tim
  7. It may also be your EGR valve sticking. Try tapping on it with a wrench a few times and see if it clears up. Tim
  8. I'm a little confused here. Is the megaspark unit complimentary to the megasquirt, or is it a complete unit. I have my order placed for the megasquirt parts, should I reevaluate before they are shipped (some parts on backorder from Digikey)? Tim
  9. Read this: http://www.turbointernational.com/turbos.shtm and this http://www.turbointernational.com/turbos.shtm and this http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~degreen/poppages/turbos.html and this http://www.sr20det.nismo.org/basicsofturbos.htm and this http://www.iapecc.com/turbos.htm Tim
  10. Douglas, Agreed. The commodore, and better yet the senator, was a fairly good car. Reliable as clockwork and a good bit of punch for what it is. And the Monaro is also a nice car, but it is definitely not deserving of the GTO badging. GM is missing the boat on this one. Look how popular (in the States anyways) the mini cooper, vw bug, PT cruiser, and I'm sure the new mustang are. Oh well, it will probably sell fairly well anyway. Tim
  11. I don't think that they are all that strong. Maybe a mild V8, but not worth the effort, but maybe someone here has some real info? Tim
  12. Man, I bet that driver feels like a horses ass!! Tim
  13. Try a bodyshop supply house (paints and spray equipment etc). Something like FinishMaster or something, but I've seen them at NAPA, Pep Boys etc, in the tool isle with all their other "made in China" crap! Tim
  14. I ran a chevy alternator in my 240 for a while (kinda ghetto rigged for diagnostic purposes). All I did was disconnect the plug going into the external (OEM) regulator. HTH, Tim
  15. This is what you need: or this: Tim
  16. Nope, that's just some dude and some chick standing around talking crap! Tim
  17. I disagree. With rod ends installed in the brace the strut towers will still 'twist' under load. Having the above type installed is better than nothing, but not perfectly ideal. Tim
  18. Msa has that T-Top stripping in their catalogue. Have they stopped carrying it or just out of stock for right now? Tim
  19. Well, I would look into what the supercharger specs are. Boost is boost, so if the motor can handle a bit of supercharger boost, then it should be able to handle a bit of turbo boost? Tim
  20. Are you referring to the ones with the little pin through the center, ot the one piece deals that have little 'ribs' on the pin section. If it's the latter, get a panel removal tool from the parts store. Made specifically for removing door panels etc, without tearing the panel where the 'buttons' are attached. Tim
