  1. It just looked that way to me when I first seen the pics, but like 80LT1 said, can it even be put together facing the wrong way?? I know I've ran that across my mind before as I was putting my clutch together, and if I remember right, it won't even allow you to goof it up... so, I really think it was something else. I had a brand new Clutch Masters stage 3 or 4 (can't recall) blow up on the dyno while James Thagard and myself were tunning my Z, and it blew a hole in my bellhousing. One of the little rivited straps that hold the preasure plates friction surface let go and it just blew itself all apart. It had maybe 3,000 mi on it. Anyways... I feel for you, and hope you get it back going with out to much down time.
  2. I didn't want to offend when I first seen the post so I didn't answer it with this same thought.... I've used the SPEC stage 3 in the past on my turbo motor with no probs.
  3. I say go for it.... its a "early" 74 260z (which I have) and is basicly the same as the 73 240. You can't complain about the price, so I'd grab it. Auto trans can be delt with w/o a prob. Buy it or hook me up with the seller...
  4. Funny how this orig "untouched" Z has a turbo hood on it when its not a turbo.... hummm....
  5. Looking good Forest. On those TTT rods, you say they don't have a bushing? They don't use the oem bushing at the frame rail end? It looked to me like those big round washer looking pieces would allow the use of the oem style rubber/euro bushing. I was just about to push the "buy it now" button on those TTT pieces. They are nice looking parts. On the rear C/A, I changed out my bushings and new spindle pins last year, so it should go pretty easy to take them back apart to swap them out for the MM rear C/A's I bought from a member here huh??? Just incase, I have another complete set of the spindle pin kit...
  6. The pinion flange on the diff will have to be swapped out for the earlier flange off a R200. Not 100% sure on the D/S flange. I'll let someone else that knows answer that one for you...
  7. Hey Forrest, are those MM control arms pretty easy to work with? How bout the pins? I just bought a pair and was wondering about the install of the C/A pins...
  8. Yea, the flares are pitiful. Those will go back for sure. The rear piece isn't to bad. So, the regular ZG's arn't to bad from MSA? I really have to come up with something if I'm going to put the 10.5" rear wheels on the car... I'd really like to go with weld on metel flares, but which ones, and from where? Thanks for your input guys...
  9. That info is right here in the RB section.... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=598024#post598024
