  1. Your reply is indicative that you are new to these cars and motors? That is not the knock sensor that is part of the alternator harness and that is also a factory block ground at that point as well. These cars do not have a knock sensor, they only have a Cylinder Head Temp sensor back towards the 5th cylinder. Also when you apply Cooper Spray gasket you apply it to the head gasket while it is hanging and you spray it liberally, let it dry for a moment until it becomes tacky and then install it. The picture clearly shows weeping on the block. Agreed, I PM'd him and he did not want to give any details in his response to me. The $15K might be worth it, but he needs to give a potential buyer some level of confidence that the car is worth it with a build sheet and dyno sheet. The car is really beat-up and a true drag car. The motor is where the money is at. $15K would be hard to justify! Yasin
  2. Thanks brother! I really really appreciate. S130 really has the potential to look incredibly sweet with the right wheels and suspension and subtle spoilers. I just need to finish my white car...I have been working on it long enough...LOL. Thanks for your wonderful comments! I appreciate it. Yasin
  3. Man, sorry to hear that!! Mine was badly broken in a few places from shipping when it came from Japan, but the beauty of FRP is that it can be repaired! What did you hit?
  4. Interesting!!! While definitely a "money build" it would be hard to confirm 798rwhp...without a dyno sheet and how much boost is he running through that motor...also what fuel is he running...cripes the ebay ad is terrible it has NOTHING on the car's build sheet! ARGH! I see it has a P90 head. Intake manifold is very impressive. Also looks like there might have had a head gasket leak at sometime after it was built: Also that car is tore up and has obviously lived a hard life..the money is in the motor..if it will last! My 2 cents Yasin
  5. Great save!! Bring her back to life!! Looking forward to updates.
  6. Beautiful and rich color ZXjuiced! If you lower your car a bit more and stick to the wheels in your first posted picture, your car would look awesome. Nice work!!
  7. Which is one reason I will NEVER race my car on a track. I put too much time and money to have to run off the track hit a wall or another car and then shrug it off. Driving to work is enough stress for me. Kudos to all you guys that track your high dollar and even budget built race cars.
  8. I have camber plates on my S130 from Gabe at Technotoytuning and can post pictures if you still like. Yasin
  9. Nice cars guys and nice saves too!! Sweet. Ken great buy for $700..looks like it has way more than 84K on it though.
  10. We cannot respond to a 2 line description on a car, pics would really be the key providing any useful feedback. Also check www.japanesenostalgiccar.com under Mazda lots of RX2 and RX3 restoration threads underway right now. Yasin
  11. Wow...absolutely cool. Congrats on an excellent idea and execution. I remember when Nissan discontinued these stickers I was pi$$ed. I" might have to get a set from you. Yasin
  12. Is the Celica a GT-S or GT?
  13. Never seen it before, looks a bit over done and not my taste. Yasin
  14. Curious as to why no.5 broke the ring lands? What were your AFRs at 18psi?
  15. OK here is mine 10years later!! Yasin
  16. Wow...more pics please. That is going to be perfect and amazing once complete. Love it!!
  17. That body style Celica to 1979 had the awful anemic SOHC Hitachi carb 18RC engine not the super cool 120hp 18RG twin cam that was available in Japan. The Mustang would run circles around it just with sheer displacement advantage. Yasin
  18. Wow.. beautiful work, inspiring and shows what a talented guy you are!! Kudos!! Amazing attention to detail. Interesting color choice..would not be my first choice..but an interesting one non the less and will look great with the right wheels and stance. Keep the pics coming please! Yasin
  19. has not set their status

  20. Scott - That rear shot looks better, but see that gap between the bottom of the lights and the top of the rear apron...that bugs me..on a Datsun..on a Porsche does not matter. I would be interested to see the car with the top down and folded away... BTW...I have bought parts from Pelican for 5years, they are awesome and have THE best Porsche forum for 911 (cannot comment on 944)!! Yasin
  21. Putting V8s into 911s have been around as long as putting them in Datsuns. 996 cars are very very cheap, as they were the first mass produced water cooled 911s and very unloved from the design (fried egg headlights), water cooled engine that the Porsche loyalists did NOT like AND these first generation water cooled H-6 engines suffer intermediate shaft failure (IMS) causing the entire engine to fail...Porsche sold lots of these cars so combined with the sheer numbers used and a possible blown motor due to an IMS failure = cheap cheap! The purists cringe..wince like an worm in direct sunlight...lol when they see a domestic V8 in one.. Some pics: Yasin
  22. Gabe - One of all time favorite videos..that is a VERY early 7 as well. Nelson Racing can build some awesome powerplants. Yasin
  23. Hi Yasin! Well i had a change of heart. I love my car too much! Im just going to put on all my extras and keep my ZX =D
