  1. For all the trouble its worth, why not get a VG which are cheap and swap everything over from the blown motor (manifolds, turbo etc), then you don't have to fart around with custom engine mounts etc? The VG33 from the the Pathfinder Truck would be cool.. Yasin
  2. Ah the good ole 4AG! I am pretty certain I was one of the first guys to put a 4AGZE in a Corolla GT-S, 10years ago! I got mine from a donor crashed US MR2 SC and then blew that up racing a Roush Mustang, then I went to an AE92 4AGZE with the higher compression. The 4AGZE is a good engine, but I much prefer the 4AG turbocharged, I eventually went to a 20V turbo, 280whp without breaking a sweat. Some pics from the old day for you: From 1998: then...: Good luck!!! Yasin
  3. Here you go, your rotor should be in line with the red line in this picture, poiting to the front of the car. Regards - Yasin
  4. Custom, one off piece made by JamieT who used to be a "regular" on here (fabricator, builder, all around great guy). Throttle body is a 67mm BMW 735i. Thanks for the compliments. Regards - Yasin
  5. John - Those are my pictures taken in my patio you have posted there. That Header is made by Greddy Trust and it does actually fit a S30 car, it will NOT fit an S130 car. I still have that turbo header in my garage and bought it quite some time ago. I am unsure what I will be doing with it, at one point I was going to chop it up and make it fit my 280ZX, but then I had the SFP unit, so I am currently using that, seems to be OK so far. Yasin
  6. Sat down last night and downloaded these from No. 8 to No. 12, awesome production (the detail is amazing, even when they showed the battery tray!!!). The detail on the Porsche engine was perfect as well. I am speechless with the detail, I enjoyed these more than InitialD. I even thought the closing HipHop Japanese band was pretty good! I was so addicted last night I only got 5hours sleep, today will be an interesting one at work...LOL! Yasin
  7. Wow Joe, you are making some great progress, the Accurate Injection ITBs look dead sexxxy...wow, tempting...very tempting!! Your car is going to be brutally quick! Keep the updates coming, I am flying your flag over here bro! Regards - Yasin
  8. Guys - I had some issues adding three additional guages to my ZX-Turbo over the past few days, I was splicing into +12V switched power harness from the ignition and it was causing major interference with the factory ECU. Anyway, one of Subaru STi buddies, suggested I try this product (Add-A-Circuit Add-A-Fuse) and just tap into the factory fuse box. Well I tried it, they are $10 each and you get a few spare fuses (from 3amps to 10amps) and it worked slick! And then its easy to remove if you have to, no cutting, no splicing, no messing around. Plus its all switched and fused too..beautiful! Anyway I had no idea this product existed but glad my friend recommended it! Just passing it along. Regards - Yasin
  9. Not bad Phil. Hiding under that paint, those rust bubbles could be extensive. Overall not bad though, local car to me as well. Yasin
  10. Happy birthday bro!! You are an asset to this site! Hope you fill your day with lots of great things! Yasin
  11. http://jalopnik.com/5065896/hand+made-lamborghini-built-in-basement-finally-sees-light-of-day From the link: "Seventeen years ago, Ken Imhoff watched Cannonball Run and became so enamored with the Lamborghini Countach in the film, he hand-built his own, in his basement. In what we imagine might be the most Jalopnik build ever undertaken, Ken designed and fabricated his own tig-welded frame, installed a thoroughly massaged 351 cubic inch V8 with a ZF-25 5-speed transmission, hand-formed the aluminum body over a meticulously measured and accurate body form, and finished it all off in a beautiful metallic gray. It took Ken 10 years to complete the project, and the results — as you can see both in the gallery and in the video below the jump — are amazing. There's only one problem, when you build a car in a basement — how do you get it out? Find out below." Amazing! Yasin
  12. My '67 Roadster made it..coool! and looks like the only Roadster in that collection. Yasin
  13. Fantastic Tim, Very inspiring! I cannot imagine how you car must feel at 29psi in 3rd gear, screaming down the highwaay! WOW! I second and third all the acolades in this thread. Regards - Yasin
  14. Ultimately its your car and you decide how you feel and the fate of the car, whether you sell it or keep it. But of all the things you listed, alot of it is related to aesthetics. A good paint job, pull the rubber reseal the windshield (this is where the rain is seeping in), fix the hole in the rocker, put thicker pad and carpets in the interior etc is going to cost you a fair bit of $$ (if done right), probably the price of a first gen Miata. Changing the rack is no more than $150 and takes a morning, fixing leaks is not a big deal either just requires perceverance and patience (like most things in life) These cars are 30+ years old now and technology has made them seem very argricultural by today's standards, and naturally thing wear out, fail and need time and money, it happens to every car. Your education is most important for sure, so that is where your focus should be. I will say I would never buy a Miata over a Z! Good luck on whichever path you choose. Yasin
  15. Great Video!! Loved the sound of EvilZ - angry!! It was cool seeing both silver S30s in the video as well. Thanks for sharing. Yasin
  16. Thanks to all that chimed in! My OE temp gauge and both sensors are still hooked up as I realize that the stock ECU relies on a signal from this sensor for fuel mixture. Sparky's post got me thinking, I went back and removed all the wiring on the gauges I inistalled and sure as $hit the car returned to normal, lots of power no more cutting out at 2500rpm. I think its how I connected the gauges to the 12V switchable source, so I will be re-wiring the gauges today. A learning process! Regards and thanks - Yasin
  17. Guys - This car I tell you, its going to drive me to the asylum, well it can't drive, so maybe I have to walk to the asylum. Heres the story. Car has been running great, power out the wazoooo, took it off the road for a few weeks to wire up my EGT gauge, an AEM wideband and an Autometer Water temp gauge. The car is runnling low boost 5psi with all stock Nissan OEM EFI incl. stock 265cc injectors. After I got the gauges wired up and installed, car started right up and revs perfectly, will even rev to red line only if the car is in neutral *only*. As soon as I start driving it and it hits approx. 2,500rpm it falls on its face, as if the spark or fuel disappeared, once the revs drop below 2,500 its fine again and I can toodle along, so long as the rpms are below 2500rpm. So it only dies under load, if I pull over on the side of the road and rev the motor it revs with no issues whatsoever. I think that this all happened when I wired up the gauges is a mere coincidence. This is what I have done so far or checked: 1) Confirmed the fuel pump is working (taped a pressure gauge to my windshield), the guage holds 50psi of pressure when it starts to die. 2) Switched out AFMs with a spare one - no difference. 3) Switched out the ignition coil with a spare one - no difference. 4) Switched out spark plug wires with a spare set - no difference. 5) Checked all the intercooler piping, couplings and clamps for leaks 5) Checked the Cylinder Head Temp sensor (which only has a few hundred miles on it) 6) Cleaned and checked a bunch of Grounds and also sensor plugs 7) Switched out the ECU with a spare one - no difference. Do you guys think it could be the distributor? I am grasping for straws. If it might be the Distributor, why would it rev all the way to red line in neutral but not under load? Please help me guys, I am befuddled and very exaspirated. Any suggestions and recommendations welcomed!!! Regards - Yasin Admin sorry I double posted this thread, please feel free to remove it from the Turbo Supercharger section.
  18. Well last night I jerry rigged a fuel pressure gauge and taped it to my windshield and will take it for a drive this morning and see what it does under load - x-fingers. Hugh - I am only running a downpipe off the back of the turbo no exhaust. I also running stock OEM EFI at low boost for the initial break-in and doubletriple checked all my connections. I will report back later this morning. Thanks Regards - Yasin
  19. Guys - I installed a Walbro 255lph High Pressure (GSL-392) in my car ('83 ZXT) about 5years ago. Of those 5 years the last 2 years, the car sat in my garage as I rebuilt the engine. The fuel pump has less than 5,000 miles on it. So I completed my engine rebuild recently (as most of you know), and 2 weeks ago the car ran incredible lots of power and took it for a great 20mile drive no problems. Fast forward to yesterday, went to drive the car and it starts perfectly and idles great! It will even rev all through the rpm band *ONLY* in neutral, however when I put the car in gear and start to drive right at about 2,500rpms the car falls F-L-A-T on its face...no matter the gear, its like there is a chain on the back bumper connected to a Mack Truck going the other way. If I let off the throttle the car will idle fine and rev fine, but under load, I just cannot get it to rev past 2500rpms... Fuel filter is clean and I am running an Aeromotive FPR which is working as it jumps about 5psi in fuel pressure when I pull the vacuum line off it. Really weird and scratching my head on this one. Do you think its a problem with my Walbro? Thanks! Regards- Yasin
  20. Congrats, great accomplishment and noteriety! Extremely well deserved. Regards - Yasin
  21. Terry - Test the market, take some amazing photos and write-up a complimentary description and see what eBay does. We live in a visual society, and the more pics the better, I never understand the guys who sells his Ferrair on eBay with pictures from his crappy cell-phone camera! It will cost you $50 to list, but worth it, it might even take a few tries before you meet reserve. All you need is one "right" buyer, and set your reserve realistically, as the market has softened up for these pleasure vehicles. Hope that helps! Yasin
  22. Guy, your car is outstanding and worth every bit of $24K if not more. Congrats! For everyone on this board, you should all get you car appraised as we have all spent a tremendous amount of money (not too mention time) on our cars. Then to have some idiot in a Neon smash into our car and only get a check for an old book value, truly hurts, so do it now!!! Its worth the $100 or so. I have my '83 ZX Turbo appraised for $18K with Haggerty classic car insurance. Regards - Yasin
  23. You said it Tony!! Interesting intake manifold Clifton!...I would not be surprised if you could pick-up some more ponies with a vetter designed plenum. Nice simple and clean looking engine bay - I love it! Kudos to you my man! Grooovy. Yasin
  24. I could not agree with you more...stunning car beautifully executed. Yasin
