  1. My car sat for 10 years, I had the same problem. The clutch master and the rubber hose were both responsible, but I replaced everything, the hose was cracked, so I swapped it out with a stainless steel line, new Master and new slave. Expect to have to replace anything with rubber/fluid. I had to replace my brake calipers, brake master cylinder, my wheel cylinders needed to be replaced as well. And my gas tank was a mess. Good luck to you
  2. hahaha, that's pretty technical. I wonder why they dont teach that at Jiffy Lube?
  3. I look in old barns, just around corners, under rocks, behind bushes..... same places I look for bigfoot.
  4. '91 Civic... and mitsubishi lancer tail lights..... Should have worn a condom
  5. Well, dont give up, if you really wanna do it, try. BTW, you're in luck, i have a K&N Master catalog (perks of working at a parts store) Part number for 240Z 70-72: 56-1410 (these are sold individually. Only One carb) They typically run $50-65 each. So total is around $100-130 Part number for 240/260Z(flattop SU) 73-74: 56-1430 (Also sold individually, you will need two) I do not know the price on these, but I would Imagine it is very similar. I have a 72, bought both 56-1410's i really like them, chrome plates, decent sized cylinder shaped filter. They look really good. The only problem I had was, they forgot the studs you need to hold them together. When I called to get the studs, they said it would take one week in the mail. It took three weeks, and they sent me the wrong studs. I forgave K&N though, I really like their filters and have K&N on every car I've owned. There are a number of other options on good filters, search around on some Z parts sites, you'll find a few more brands.
  6. I personally like the black with a chrome lip, I feel it makes the wheels look a little wider, they dont draw away from the rest of the car. With full chrome wheels, I feel that it draws your eyes to the wheels and away from the rest of the car. But with the black center and the chrome lip, it copliments the car, but does not distract from the car itself.
  7. You'd be amazed how much air actually goes into your engine bay at a roll. Just a pair of filters, one on each carb, isnt bad. No restriction besides the filters themselves. Not exactly the "Cold Air" but a pretty good amount of air getting in. Or you can do something like the picture bjhines suggested... But if you have a stock pair of SU's and a stock cam, that's a lot of time, money, and labor for 2-5 horsepower. If you are really serious about building or buying a cold air setup, then more power to you, I'd love to see it. I've considered building one myself, but after a lot of research and thinking I decided I'd focus my time and money on other things. Just my opinion
  8. 240SX pistons, 240Z rods, L28 diesel Maxima crank
  9. My girlfriend has an RSX-S.... maybe I'll "Borrow" one of her seats when she isnt looking and see if it could fit......
  10. The early 280Z came with a 4speed. Late 78, early 79 they changed it to a 5 speed. If you do the swap, I'd suggest the late 280ZX N/A 5speed. It will drop right in with no problem.
  11. Hahaha, no, nothing that crazy. I found three hornets nests, one under the passenger seat, one next to the gas pedal, and one in the blower motor. Only other thing I found was this shift nob.
  12. To be 100% honest with you... I have the feeling I'm going to die in that car. I felt it when i found it, in a junkyard(funny huh), before i even heard of Wangan Midnight. I have a 10 point roll cage coming, and will be getting a good seat, and damn good harness.....
  13. That was great! I like the tie fighter battle, R2Clevland pulls out a pistol. Nice
  14. Mine is called the "DemonZ" I bought it on 06/06/06 The license plate is a classic 72 plate, #DWB 666 I finished building the engine on a Friday the 13th The car spent close to 10 years in a police impound, and I found some old articles that may link it to a murder....... No hard evidence of the last, but an almost exact description of the same spots of primer that are on my car. Fitting name? I think so.
  15. Absolutely beautiful. I wish I had the time, money, place, and skill to go into that much detail. I am thuroughly impressed, you did an amazing job!
  16. well damn, that's what I get for not getting on the computer when I got up to leave at 6AM this morning.... You had said $125 for the hood and fender mirrors, but if the mirrors are gone, how much do you want for the hood?
  17. I drive a big SUV, and I try not to be an ass in it, but I do admit that I make it fly once in a while. I have chromed tail lights and I slightly louder but not overpowering exhaust... I get a lot of ricers(civics, old eclipses) and plenty of V6 mustangs who try to do the same thing your SUV"buddy" tried... The good old fashion Blast past"look at me, I'm cool" then when they actually get in the race I pull away pretty decently. And ofcourse the beloved ricer flyby... The race was over a couple minutes ago... but "Oh yeah buddy, now that you hit the brakes I kicked your ass" Ricers are all different races and drive every type of car, but they all share the same idiotic tendancies.
  18. I'm interested in the Hood and the fender mirrors if you still have them.
  19. I received two confirmation e-mails within 24 hours, but no official shipping confirmation
  20. Thanks for the link, that was the fastest purchase I've made in a while =D
