  1. Someday I hope mine will be finished too. Im right now trying to decide once I finish the body work if I should paint my car Dodges mettalic gray or a similar blue to 240hokes car. Ill have mostly flat black trim so Ill have to see.
  2. Wheelman did you go to the AutoX up in Spokane I heard there were a couple of Z's there. Did any of you pull the spare tire out when you put the new tank in so you could mount it higher? Or will that just raise the center of gravity to high?
  3. Thats a good looking 2+2. Do you have metal bumpers or are they the fg. I got the fiberglass but Im waiting till I paint my car to put them on. Me and my dad have been debating if we should put a black strip along the bottom like you did. Decisions decisions. $90 ouch! Coupes only $30.
  4. Im not sure Ill have to look into it. I talked to Kim at Idaho Z car and they were working on a 2+2 and theyre using 3 '72 door weatherstrips, we bought 3 and Ill have them on once I get my car painted. You have to cut the weatherstripping on both sides then with the extra one fill in the missing parts.
  5. How much would it be just to spray a new dash cap? A new dash cap is 100 bucks so youd have 70 bucks to spray it. Would it be cheaper? Anyone have pictures of it on the exterior? I saw a Z drive by my house and it had it on the rocker panels in front of the rear wheel and behind the front, it looked pretty good.
  6. Those seats look great and look really vintage. Were these optional original seats or can you buy them now?
  7. Spokane, WA Ive seen only two nice Z's in spokane, everthing else is rusted out in peoples backyards.
  8. I understand. Which hatch seal are you trying to get? I need the hatch to body seal and the 3 small ones on the top on the top of the hatch Well have to mabey figure out something where a whole bunch of people call or email precision and demand 2+2 weatherstripping.
  9. Yeah I just turned 16 that is a little younger then you. I had heard about some of these but never actually seen one till we got my grandmas car. One reason I liked it was because it was such a simple design like you said just 2 bolts and its on. The only problem I was looking at was the small support that went vertically right behind the license plate on the Z. Can you just cut it or would you have to reinforce it? Can you do this with the stock tank? I dont have the money now for a fuel cell but will hopefully paint my car this summer and I dont want to have to go back and smooth in the gas door once its painted.
  10. Hey gokiburix how is the weatherstripping on the top of the pillar in front of the wuarter window? Mines shot and Im trying to find somewhere I can buy them. Also anyone else not able to post pictures cause it wont let me!!
  11. That convertable looks great! I think the 2+2's look alot better in convertables then the coupes. Someone asked which parts were hardest to find and the hardest are the metal replacment panels, interior parts, and weatherstripping. MSA has started to make some 2+2 interior parts but all of them.
  12. Looks like youll have a nice car. Could we get some pictures of the 2+2? Where are you getting the motor from?
  13. Havent you had it up for sale for quite a long time? I agree with mightymax you interior is very nice. Did you have it reupolstered or is it original. Also would you happen to have photo shop where you could cut out the big bumper and put some graphite rewinds on it.? Please.......
  14. How did you connect the air dam on and how did you fill in the bumper reliefs in the side of the headlight buckets. Yeah all you can do is hope you wont have to. Id be very paranoid if I had to take it off and would only pick the best of the best of the best to help take it off.
  15. Well like he said most people dont like the 2+2 but I think they look good. If you do get a 2+2 Id be sure to see that most the weatherstripping is fine and metal is rust free in the back end. If theyre are alot of issues with 2+2 specific parts youll probably be smarter to find a coupe, but if Its in good condition and you like the way it looks go for it. Before you do buy it if you do Id look around some more looking for other Z's for sale. Jumping on the first one you see may get you a good car or may just make yourself a big hassle. Mabey we could get some pictures?
  16. Aziza what happens when you need to take a fender off? Is your air dam metal?
  17. Pretty nice, at first I thought you meant there was a 13b in the Datsun and it was a special Cosmos edition.??. Then I saw the pictures, 2 different cars. Now when will they be finished?

  19. Yeah thats funny, but they probably sell alot to ricers. Anyone ever seen this site, they sell some funny car stuff. http://kalecoauto.com/
  20. Yeah that is amazing! The sunny picture is alot nicer. Also I dont know if Its me but do 2+2's look alot better with dark tint? Ive noticed gokiburix has dark tint and several other cars.
  21. Looks amazing! Could we get some pictures of the hood and how you made it? Id like to do something like that with a vent in the front. Again looks great especcialy the front.
  22. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/7AD if you look all but 50-1523 50-1524 and last few that bolt on to the existing valance on the page dont need the front valance you are missing.
  23. Yeah I guess alot of mechanics think that the scotchbright wheels dont take off material, the guy that "fixed" my head did the same and we had to get it resurfaced.
  24. Does moving it to the back take away some cranking power of the battery because of the thicker wire and distance?
  25. Frank, does your car have flares? It looks like very slight flares, they look really nice, and what color is that? How old were you when you built the car with your dad?
