  1. I just got Black Dragons new catalog. I first looked for these parts and I saw the difference. The coupe has one large piece that goes across the top and 2 on the sides. I also had a question about the uper corner seal on the door. Inbetween the roof and the pillar in front of the quarter window theyres a seal. Ive found them for the coupes but Black Dragon and everywhere Ive looked doesnt sell them for 2+2. Is theyre to much of a difference to use a coupe seal or are they totally different. Ive got a feeling theyre far from the same. Thanks

  3. Hey I was wondering if anyone knew the difference in the weatherstripping of a coupe vs. 2+2 on the outer hatch seals. MSA sells them for coupe but it seems it wouldnt be too different to put on a 2+2. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/SWR01J/34-1142 Includes 34-1142 and 34-1143 Thanks

  5. Are you wanting to put some of the your Z32 suspension on an S30? Im not sure if it would be worth the fabrication to put it on. Theyres quite a few buisnesses that sell aftermarket improved S30 Suspension. As for the motor I think the easiest thing would be to get a l28et in it and build it up to whatever power youd like. Sorry about your car, can I ask what happened in the crash?
  6. Congratulations, Im not sure if when mine is finished If Ill wait till its totally put together or be impatient and drive it around without most the parts on. It'll be tempting but more fun in the end.

  8. When you shaved to rear valance did you grind down the brackets that stuck out or did you just cover it. It seems that they stick to far out to cover. Hey CANDYBLUE2+2 anyway to get some pictures of your 2+2 posted on the hybridz albums so I could see them. Im trying to get all sorts of pictures of different 2+2's to see how different colors ect. look. Thanks.
  9. I think the bolts look kinda tackey. I think its the only flare with that particular shape so people buy it, but it has the holes which they dont like.. Corzette- Thats a great looking 2+2. Im having to save my money to finish the body work on my 2+2 and Im really debating getting some flares. Me and my dad had thought about filling in the holes and molding the ZG flares in but the flares are pretty spendy. Do you still have this car?
  10. PapaSmurf- What was your way of making a push button start? Does the key have to be in and turned then you push the button or.....? What part of WA is Kelso in?
  11. If you look to the left of the exhaust there are mounting brackets that you covered up with sheet metal. Those are pretty strong and are bolted and welded to the frame. If you wanted to you could weld a tube from the backside of the bracket to some part in front of the gas tank, or at an angle up to the bottom of the frame. You definetly removed some strength from the rear of the car in case of a collision when you took the bumper struts off. Ive got mine off and will soon be doing the same patching you did. Ive got the fg bumpers from MSA, theyre bumpers but sure wouldnt protect anything in a crash.
  12. In the last Nissan Sport it had a article on a paddle shifter for the SE-R Sentra, might then make one for the 300zx tranny. Not sure of the company because my magazine has gone missing.
  13. So how did you increase the stroke on the crank, and is there anyway to get a picture of the block?
  14. NEVER NEVER NEVER Ever assume that the rust you see is all that there is. My rockers were rusted where you could fit your hand in and feel down the inside of the rocker. I bought 3 rockerpanels from MSA and a family friend did it for only 150 bucks which was really nice of him. I started by removing the spotwelds from the top and botom seem and removing the outer shell. Once you do this be sure to hunt down every little speck of rust grind it off and weld up the holes and then use rust reformer paint (thats what I did) and seal it all up. Im not sure how much the labor would cost but its not gonna be cheap. Good luck
  15. Anyone tried those things they sell on ebay that scrapes the oil of the crank as it spins and its supposed to "reducing rotating mass" "improving power and engine response" ect.
  16. Congratulations! Where in the NW do you do your meetings. I dont have my license or car yet so Im limited to the eastern WA area.
  17. They give the crank a "knife edge". Smoother then a blunt end. If I do a motor Id definetly do that along with balancing like you said to make a real smooth motor. I dont really mind but alot people will have a fit if you dont search. It only took me couple of seconds to find it on google. Good Luck
  18. I went like 15 min and got a pile of rust. Its rust free now but I would be alot further if I had bought a rust free one. But hey, I was 11, what did I know.
  19. Now what kind of car would this be? 30 lbs is quite a bit, and wouldnt that setup be very expenive?
  20. Where did the gasket fail? You might be able to tell if theyres a problem by looking at the damaged area? Was this the only thing replaced?
  21. If I ever get in a car accidents and the car totals, I hope to buy it back and just keep it as memorabilia because it was my first car.
  22. Does anyone know how to remove the 3 holed mounting brackets that make the sheetmetal stick out? I looked under the car and it looks as if theyre welded to the frame rails. Anyone taken these off. If you were to you might want to reinforce the rear sheetmetal somehow just in case.
  23. Did you polish the entire manifold, what did you start with to make it smooth? Other then all the egr tubes and valves what all can you take off the intake.
