I am about to purchase the control box I need but am not sure which one I want and am hoping that you all can give me your opinion. I will be running the haltech E6x and see that most people run the 6AL, is there a reason for this, or is it just because the Digital 6 is fairly new? reading over the tech sheets.. MSD 6AL http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=partdetail.asp&autofilter=1&part=MSD%2D6420&N=400122&autoview=sku Digital6 http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=/egnsearch.asp&N=400122 wiring is virtually identical, output is higher on the digital6 and it also has a two stage limiter. decisions decisions!!!!!! also, can a haltech user hook me up with a wiring diagram for the MSD...would be much appreciated!

arrived a few days before thanksgiving along with my EZ wiring kit...needless to say it was a very busy weekend that went something like this: eat turkey nap work on car eat turkey nap work on car eat turkey nap.... I am very happy with my decision overall and cannot wait to really tear into this project and finish it up!

haha! its funny because is true!

nice, glad to here you got her back and the shop stepped up and didnt jerk you around. personally I wouldnt even think about selling it, you will probably have little nagging problems here and there but once you get it set I think she has the ability to be a very reliable car. I here you on the paranoia when it comes to new noises...we have the ability to notice things that have always been there just because we are actually looking for them.

saw them a couple years ago in Houston. they played most of "hail to the thief" and then walked off stage, no encore no nothing. the lights came on and a swarm of security pea brains started pushing people out. they played for just over an hour. most disappointing show evar! I've seen multiple videos of their live shows in japan and Europe and Thom Yorke just flips out and puts on these fantastic shows...then they get to the states and give us all the finger. talented arrogant prick. /will still buy his CDs

has anyone had a chance to check out the rest of his site?http://www.dpcars.net An amazing amount of machinery has been through his hands. and from what i've read about him he's very cool on top of that. I mean please, only the coolest people in the world drive Scion Xb's. check out is hayabusa powered AWD race car! I've been following his site for atleast 6 years and its nice to see the car sooo close to completion. I'm really curious as to how she will perform. if he's not an example of why you should work hard and kick arse and everything you do that I don't know who is.

Hey Mike, check this site out.... http://dpcars.aprsworld.com/scion/index.htm

having customer cars for 2+ years while selling parts off of them. promising huge numbers and then delivering cars with fake dyno sheets. etc etc. I was years ago so i don't remember exactly....im sure somebody can chime in with more accurate info.

do people still buy from hennessey? I though for sure that he was long gone from the tuning scene after ripping so many people off a few years ago. I am thinking of someone else?

http://www.realtechnews.com/posts/2145 are we honestly that lame of a society that products like this make it to the market? you must have perceived demand...human beings scare me.

the lights on the first one.....perhaps you could use the internals of some Supra projectors.....they appear to be very similar. drawings look great, you've made a good deal of progress with your sketches.

Hey Mike! long time not talk, your skyline is really coming along, looks fantastic. im really liking the new core support/V-mount setup, looks really trick. very very well done. nice colour scheme as well.

wow wow wow, that looks really clean, did you paint it yourself? what colour is that?

I used them a few times with mixed results. it seemed that I would need to replace them more frequently than the el cheapo plugs I used to get in my plymouth and bimmer...they only thing I've ever put in my Z are NGKs

when I first rebuilt my 240Z i ripped apart a 78 280Z harness, deleted all the wires I didn't need, cleaned all the connectors and re-routed some of the harness to clean things up a bit. it worked great, but in my mind it was still 30 year old wiring and glass fuse technology. just last weekend I ripped every last wire out of my 240Z in preparation for a EZ wiring 21 circuit kit (http://www.ezwiring.com) from what I've read using the search function on this site, its quality is comparable to the painless kit at less than half the price. hopefully I will have it fully installed by my christmas break and can contribute to the already helpful write up about the painless kit located on this site. I will be using the stock connectors spliced into the ez wire harness using new metal plugs for the plastic stock connectors that are available through a few online retailers.

yeah I would like to hear that, sparky240zt @ yahoo .com you could also just upload it into the hybridz.org video gallery as well, either way muchos thanks. if anybody else out there could hook me up with a short video or sounds clip of their turbo Zeds idle, rev, load that would be great.

Mike, alot of advice is being thrown down right. while all of it is applicable and worth while, you and only you must make that decision. You are very young and a big move wont upset your life that much. just make sure that if it doesnt work out or you have doubts, BAIL, dont even hesitate or try to convince yourself that it could work, or you can somehow help her or vice versa..if that happens it will never work. here is a little story from my personal files.. I was head over heals in love with this incredible smart, and wickedly gorgeous woman that I met on a job. we dated for about a year and she up and moved to California to get her masters. she asked me several times to move over there and several times I said no. the main reason is that I felt I needed to get my life together first before I moved in and joined forces with somebody else. we broke up over stupid circumstances about 8 months after she moved and I realized after the break up that we probably wouldn't have ever worked out, despite how much we claimed to love each other, the reason?we were both too much alike... Despite all that though, knowing that It wouldnt have worked out and I would be single, broke and alone in Cali...to this day I kick myself for not taking that chance and just moving with her from the beginning. all my responsibilities and all my baggage were insignificant and could have easily been set on fire in a field of no regrets. bottom line Mike, is that you and only YOU are the only person you have. if you do make the move do it for you and your personal growth. if you take that chance have a backup plan and don't weigh yourself down with BS possessions that end up possessing you. travel light in load and light on the feet. if you stop and smell the roses to long you might just sink and plant yourself in a less than ideal spot. laterZ
