  1. ! well carp! another thing to spend money on! thats just great.
  2. well that sucks Mike...dont give up just yet.. pull the motor and vacuum it out, turn it over on the stand and blow compressed air through it, while turning the crank. clean out your intake manifold, intercooler, pipes, and turbo... if you don't feel like messing with it anymore give me a call if your seriously thinking about selling it....
  3. lol, you would think that trying to peddle a bike that small would be difficult enough without the flat tire. wouldnt it just be faster to walk?
  4. I never done business with them, It just happened to come up on a google search, but now that I know that I will search the site for more stuff I want and need. thanks. Garrett, you wouldnt happen to have a sound or video clip of your car would you? I would like to know what I might be getting into If i go with the bullit muffler.
  5. does the camera guy say "that Z's gonna have some hurt feelins in a minute" ? uh-huh.
  6. thanks for the feedback, I've always heard great things about their other products, thats the main reason why i'm considering it. I've looked at the dynomax race and bullet mufflers before. its still a possibility but I like the fact that the VB muffler comes with a tip and is polished stainless steel. I figure that if its going to be visible than it better look good. thanks for the feedback.....
  7. Dammmmmmnnnnnnnn! more like "pork roast" now...har-har as always Rick that looks really good, still want to see that car in person some day. your gonna need a bigger engine.
  8. truth be told the cost of that school is a bargain if he learns just half of what they will try and teach. the second best way to learn car control for young drivers is the local autoX course......
  9. "there is nothing more chicken sh!t than messing with another mans automobile." -Vincent Vega poor M3, its totally repairable though, thank goodness for full coverage! I had that happen to me once as well (well, not that bad, or even close) the girlfriend I had at the time was a total flirt and tease with her "friends" one time she made friends with this large, rather slow drug dealer guy and his little tag-a-long friend and they were over at her house for some reason (uh-huh) well I surprised her and she kicked them out....I guess they didnt really like that because they took the claw end of a hammer to my Zs hood. another time during highschool this little insecure friendless nerdy kid stole all but one lug nut off of each wheel on my plymouth valiant. thankfully I had extras in the car....although Left hand threaded long shank lug nuts for 5x4 bolt pattern cragers are not exactly cheap, nor are they easy to find. he did it multiple times until I casually mentioned in class that "I knew who was doing it and now know why he had no friends."
  10. well, the time is rapidly approaching, several major components have been ordered and several more need to be. one of those being my exhaust and muffler. right now I'm running a 3 inch straight pipe that dumps at the diff....while invigorating, this must inevitably change. I've been looking at VB TPV 3" inlet SS canister style...I know its kinda ricey...but don't care, i'm going for a resto-mod/j-spec style and this fits. check it out: http://gscproducts.com/products/?id=3745 http://www.vibrantperformance.com/products/catalog05/pg18-19.pdf So does anybody have any experience with their products, I like the Apexi N1 but think the price is crazy....VB fits my budget, but I don't want poor quality. any comments are much appreciated!
  11. A mini has been on my list since I uttered my first word, A mini with modern power would be even better (although I would love to have an all original S as well) have yall seen this mini: http://kimini.com/?

  13. I've got open storage in San Antonio as well.....just in case you need it Mike! I promise I wont Drive it..........much
  14. the 280Z transmission tunnel is a we bit wider than the 240Z in certain places, I cant exactly how much but it might make a large enough difference in this case.
  15. yeah its fake, if anyone has ever seen or heard an airbag go off you know that its a violent EXPLOSION. plus the fact that airbags are more like pancakes than balloons, meaning that they are more flat than round. If you were buckled in your set setting at a light or in your driveway and one went off the only thing it would do is scare the shiat out of you, its highly unlikely that it would hit you. also, they are loud when they let go, unless the camera is on a support (again not likely if your a skateboarder filming another skateboarder) it would most likely cause people to jump back, or atleast visibly jar the camera. yup.
  16. Paul, I take it thats not going to be a street car....right?!
  17. Well, thats not a good sign, but it i'snt a death blow either.
  18. thanks for taking the initiative on this, you have a guaranteed buyer if we can pull this off.
  19. well whadya know! I found the old post: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=78488&highlight=intercooler
  20. many years ago I asked this same question and several people posted with the necessary formulas, unfortunately though, I can not find that post and have long since forgot the formulas. I think it was Dr. James T that posted them, maybe he will see this and be able to post it again. EDIT: duh! I set my goal at around 300HP and it was suggested through math that 2.25 was more than adequate. thats what I went with but have yet to put any real time on the car....sorry but thats all the info I can provide.
  21. OK I was totally kidding in the above post, I honestly hope that nobody took that seriously!
  22. fill the intake system with water and the pressurize it, you can hook up a shop vac on pump, or you can just start the car and floor it till she builds boost. the only problem with the latter is the fact that the entire system must be filled to the top with water, including the intercooler, this can make starting the car very tricky. some people address this issue by sticking a garden hose near the compressor intake and running the car off the rev-limiter, while it works for some, results of course may vary. good luck!
  23. the only thing I don't do on my cars is bleed brakes, I HATE and I mean HATE bleeding brakes.
