  1. Either he has that course memorized or he's got a spotter.
  2. I'm using a 98 forester rack and I don't know which port the in line coming from the pump goes too. Does any one know?
  3. Yeah thats the one. At first I thought it was a VW but the front and rear tail lites give it away.
  4. I give him props for the engineering but why make it a front wheel drive? 800 hp to the front wheels is just insane.
  5. Isn't that red hatch back a civic(in the link)? Atleast it looks like it from the back.
  6. He's just making an amphibious car. Next time you see it will have a couple of 55 gallon barrels on the sides.
  7. Dude I know its a civic but it looks hot.
  8. I think I'm with Mike on this one and go with the used 911TT. Yeah I've always dreamed of getting a GT-R, but the looks and price just isn't doing it for me. I feel they blew it with the looks and once the hype cools down its going to be a lot harder to move than expected. As far as the HP goes, who doesn't love twin turbos and ITBs with all wheel drive. And nissan really knows how to put some really advance electronics into their cars. From a company known as a "budget" car company, to have as much technology cramed into one car is impressive.
  9. Maybe I'm thinking of the EVO transmission, but I thought all you had to do was remove the front halfshafts and weld the front diff and volia you have a RWD only tranny.
  10. Thanks Strotter Yeah it probably won't be pretty but as long as it fits under the stock hood I'll be stoked.
  11. I love the look of a black solstice. It reminds me of an updated cobra. To bad I can't fit in one.
  12. Is anyone running the stock serpentine belt system?
  13. Aw man thanks for digging up that video of Darius. When I first started getting into Z's back in 01 that was the video that did it for me. God I love high horse power in a tiny car!!!
  14. I have a 77 SBC and I went down to the local junk yard to pick up the parts needed to install a power steering rack. I thought it would be a great idea to get the complete serpentine belt set up off of an old blazer. This has the AC bracket, Power steering pump and Alt. Will this set up fit in my 78 280z? I'm running the JTR kit. I'm worried that the AC compressor is too tall and the power steering pump is to wide and will hit the frame rail. By the way I picked up an ac compressor, both brackets, power steering pump, and a 98 forrester rack for $102!! If anyone has pictures that would be great too.
  15. Well I did a leak down test and its blowing a good number so we established that it is..........Bad valve seals. I've never replaced them or have the tools to do it. Is there anyone in Richmond VA that wants to help me with some experiance?!!? Beer is on me.
  16. I think Sport Compact Car had an articule on a A4 with the S4 drive train and twin turbos. It was bad A$$!!
  17. I like the transmission bracket. However with the T56 trans I had to cut the stock location out so that was out of the question. Is this a "scarab" kit? (I think thats how you spell it)
  18. Great job getting the hood to work. Not my style but I give you Kudos. Also it looks like a starter bolt is loose.
  19. I was reading in a book (I know amazing right) that in the late 90's Nissan bought several S30s and brought them back to orginial spec, i.e. paint hub caps everything completely overhauled. Then they sold them back to the public for 20-30k. Does anyone know of someone who bought them? I know this is Hybrid Z, but I know we have a couple of stock ones running around here.
  20. It takes all of the great features of a Z (handling, looks), and all of the great features of a bike (power to weight, open air) and throws them away. If only they had put a blind fold on the windshield then it would be really functional.
  21. I"m thinking about removing the false floor all together. Its just some cheap MDF and does nothing but amplify the non insulated sheet metal underneath. Sorry to rant
