  1. Is this an online newsletter? Can anyone sign-up?
  2. Mull, you should totally go with 18's for your ride. After what you've done to your Z, it deserves some ridiculously good looking forged 18's.
  3. When I stripped my interior to put fatmat everywhere, while I was re-installing the interior I made sure that there was no plastic to plastic contact between the panels. My father is in the jewelery business and I got some of the rectangular foam cushions that have slits for rings, and cut them to size and placed them in between the plastic to plastic contacts. I absolutely adore my interior now. With over 450 watts of sound and 8 speakers, there is not one rattle ANYWHERE in my car.
  4. My 16x8 RB's weigh 16 each. Your RB-R's do look nice. I would totally rock those if my car was purely street driven.
  5. My front tires are about 2-3mm or so far away from the spring perch, and even when I'm cornering at the limits of the car they have never rubbed together.
  6. Ah totally forgot about the bolt spacing. Ok thanks guys.
  7. Those two kits are as straightforward as it gets. The MSA kit should be easier than the Vintage kit, I think.
  8. Hello everyone, Has anyone tried the Greddy R200 finned diff cover and know if it clears everything on a 240z?
  9. If I were you I would sell that amp you have now and go for a much smaller amp, something like an Alpine mrp 250. TRUST ME you DO NOT need 800 watts for those tiny 6.5" speakers. A 250x4 amp will be enough to blow your 6.5" speakers. Invest the money in a better separate mono amp for your sub.
  10. I like how my body/paint is immaculate/show room condition.
  11. As far as a Z being raced on a track, do you really need more power than an SR20 offers? There are people running over a year on 390rwhp on stock internals with no problems. Adrian from Vildini is getting 510rwhp out of this engine. The 300lb difference between the RB and the SR is the biggest advantage you can ask for for a tracked Z. Off the top of my head I think that's a 12% weight savings, racers die for that.
  12. The stock weight distribution is 52F/48R. With an SR20DET it becomes 48F/52R. Coil-Over's/new spring rates is a must. "Brakes & tyres are everything... Lack thereof, there is no substitution, for weight" -Mulholland Raceway, The Golden Rule
  13. Very nice! Your car is coming along REALLY well!
  14. I'm sure that Apexi muffler sounds great, and I don't know If I'm the only one who thinks this but it just looks SO ricey! Sorry I hate to be negative but that muffler just sticks out like a sore thumb and is the first thing that catches the eye when you look at the car. Sorry!
  15. I don't understand why so many want cf interior panels? Yes a good majority of us have cracked panels, but it would be PURELY aesthetic. If you're going to make something let it make a considerate difference in performance or reducing a large amount of weight.
  16. It all depends on what you're using the car for. Like kiwi303 said, if you're planning on any sort of track use, go with the SR20. If you're just at the strip/street go RB25 all the way. Just the sound of those things at redline is enough to make your decision. DROOOOOOOOOOL
  17. I give a +1 on that front splitter. If you can add some built-in winglets that would be totally badass. You can find carbon fiber air dams on ebay, fiberglass dashes, cf hoods. I say lets get something that hasn't been made yet. Although the dash would be pretty badass.
  18. Does anyone have any idea how much those things weigh? It seems like they would keep the heat out nicely. I need as much sun protection I can get in So cal.
  19. Awwww shoot, wasn't able to get to a computer in time. Congrats Bart! Challenger, the SR20DET is in progress. It'll be done mid June-ish.
  20. Name (first and last): Armand Kizirian Handle: Armand City/State: Calabasas, CA Year/Make/Model: 1971 Datsun 240z 20 word or less description: Series 1 240z, SR20DET, 255rwhp, 2150lb's, Coil-Overs, Toyo 4x4 front Brakes/240sx rear brakes. Ready for the track! High Resolution Photo of your vehicle: P.S. That 20 word limit is ridiculously short. You might as well have no description.
  21. Sweet! Thanks a bunch.
  22. Does anyone know if there is anyone who sells a 240z logo in cotton/polyester /anything for the purpose of sowing to a head rest? If not, is there any Datsun or Z logo? Thanks in advance, -Armand
