  1. RB26 is AWD. RB25 is RWD.
  2. Thanks, but I'm a little bit confused. First, those are Nissan part numbers right? And second, are all those needed to bolt the transmission to the block? They just seem like too many. I'll take a look at it when I get home tonight. Angel
  3. Does anybody know the size, part number, or where to get the bolts to put a RB25 transmission and a RB26 together? Thanks. Angel
  4. There's a parts list, an idea how much it will cost, a detailed write up, and many pictures here: www.hybridz.org. Just search one at a time.
  5. Yesterday I saw one in person for the first time. All I gotta say is WOW... Although I didn't even get to ride on it. If I had the money I would definately pay the 20k markup.
  6. It seems like nismoparts.com doesn't carry them anymore. Check ebay, West Covina Nissan has one for sale at reasonable price. You might be able to just go and pick it up if you're close by.
  7. "Clean rope can be threaded into a spark plug hole to stop a piston before TDC to allow you to either tighten or loosen a crankshaft pulley bolt or a flywheel bolt." Exactly what kind of rope? Is there any danger of messing internal parts up? I would really appreciate it if you explain this a little further. I can't take the crank pulley bolt off my RB26
  8. You are hoping for boost? I can already feel it coming!
  9. Pay about 1000-1500 for a nice Z from California and drive it back or ship it for about2500-3000.
  10. Hahaha... a lady told me my S30 looked like a cricket. Can you explain me that one?
  11. Beautiful Z... not many look good with big bumpers.
  12. Does something like this not do it for you? http://www.viczcar.com/Zcar-News/Darius-Datsun-240z-with-Supercharged-Chevy-Gets-a-Makeover.html
  13. Wow... you did a great job man. Thanks for sharing. I have a couple of questions: Are you using the stock GT-R ECU? Is it possible to use this using a Standalone EMS?
  14. Once two guys in a Scion tc pulled on the side of my Z32TT and asked to race. I smiled and said no, but they insisted. They finally got it and seemed amazed to see how much faster my car pulled compared to theirs.
  15. Looks nice and in great shape. If you don't mind me asking, what price (or price range) did you pay for it? I'm not sure if I should hold on to my Z32 or lower the price to sell it.
  16. Karim is the right person to talk to, his engines are top quality.
  17. Where I work we have a red pearl MasdaSpeed6, used. It's stick, AWD and turbo. Not as fast as an Evo, but has decent power and I think it's more of a date car than Evos and STIs.
  18. I think she meant you killed the baby that might had happened that night if you had been gentle on the throttle....
  19. Looks really good. I wish I knew how to weld. I'm having problems getting someone to weld my oil pick up for me. Everybody says they can't do it and seem confused about me needing a custom oil pickup. They all ask "Why don't you just order one?" If you (or anyone else) are willing to make one that works with the RB20 oil pan and sell it to me let me know. I'll pay good money for it. I just need one already.
  20. A stock RB26 in a Z will be faster than a stock GTO. A stock RB25 with just a little more boost than stock will do it too.
  21. Place the engine where you want it, then measure and get a driveshaft made as you need it.
  22. Hey Cable this is Angel. Nice pass... I would like to know what it can do with slicks too.
  23. In that case I have no idea if it will fit in a Model T. Have you ever seen a VG30DETT? They are very big and wide. In fact, a SBC is way easier to fit and the VG30 weighs the same or more than a SBC V8. If I was building a car for fuel economy I would look into the SR20DET, but I don't know if that is something you would even consider putting in a Model T.
  24. The VG30DETT will fit in the S30 but apparently it takes a lot of work, and won't get much better mileage than a V8 (My Z32TT averages 17mpg). And if you go with the N/A I don't think you will have more potential than with the V8. Power and gas mileage don't like each other, but a good balance can be achieved. I'm not an expert on V8s, but if I was you instead of doing a swap I would put some money on the V8 you already have to make it more powerful and save some money for gas.
