  1. I think McKinney Motorsports offers one too, in case you don't find one. But, as with everything else from them, has a higher price.
  2. Are you guys talking about 3-5k for just the exterior, or including the engine bay and inside?
  3. Just pour a couple bottles of rust converter and you got yourself a good solid car
  4. Is the actual cost of production really about $6,000 then? How can you find out?
  5. There might not be enough info about different swaps in HybridZ SBCs, SBFs, RBs... and just about everything else... depending on what "little modification" means for you.
  6. 1992 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo 5-spd... Still have it.
  7. Approach her nicelly and find out exactly why she is saying no. Basically find the real objection, and sell her on it. If it's space, tell her about the Z's you are willing to let go (maybe give me one or two if they are in any decent shape ). If it's the money, explain to her how good of a deal it is and kind of promise not to spend money on something else or whatever fits for you.
  8. This is like finding a treasure...
  9. I would definately get a sump/pickup for RB26 into S30. If these plans get a little more serious, can you let me know? Thanks, Angel
  10. Be straight up to her and tell her you will spend one day (or afternoon) doing a "woman thing"... whatever she likes and chooses, even if you don't like it. But the next afternoon she has to help you work on your car. From there, she will either help you all the time or just leave you alone when you want to work on it. But never forget about her. Work on her just a little more than you work on the car.
  11. I agree. Every engine that I know of from Karim has been in perfect condition. If you care about the quality of your engine, go with him
  12. I would bet it's a scam. Everytime that it is a divorced woman that "doesn't drive" is a scam, and/or ebay protection thing, it's a scam. I don't know why they keep on using the same thing.
  13. Yeah, that's basically what everybody concluded for the AWD S30. Your better off throwing money on the engine and fixing up the rear for some big slicks if you are drag racing.
  14. I would think it takes about the same work as making an S30 AWD... which is a lot of time and maybe about $40,000+
  15. I read that with the 350 the vette's 0-60 was in 7 seconds, while the Z's was in 8 seconds. The 1970 Porcshe's 911E 0-60 was 7.6 seconds. The vette with the 454 did the 1/4 mile in 13.8 seconds. I think the Z with a stroked L6 can do that.
  16. Is there a welder that you guys with experience would recommend for someone that wants to learn how to weld exhausts and other stuff? Something with decent quality maybe, in a low price range.
  17. A few people like moonroofs, but for me and many others it just doesn't go on a 240z. Most of the times it even "depreciates" its value. If it's something you really want, it's your car. Enjoy it!
  18. What you are forgetting is that a gallon of air doesn't burn with a gallon of gas. That's why there is a something to 1 ratio.
  19. Why not just get a RB25 transmission? With the Z32 and other transmissions there will be extra work involved to make the bellhousing work. Cost should be close at the end. And the RB25 tranny will save you time.
  20. There's no fabrication needed in making the RB26dett into RWD. The RWD transmission from the RB25DET bolts right in. And the internals are actually the same as the one on the RB26, just without the AWD transfer case. Read the stickies on the RB Forum and do a lot of searching.
  21. Planning and doing everything professionally is the best way to do it. But sometimes if you just don't jump the gun nothing gets done.
  22. Hahaha... Mark, your car was the first (and only) RBZ that I've seen in person that actually ran. So getting a ride in it was like a dream come true. And a lot of your help and advice is what has made mine into an achievable project. Your car keeps me motivated!
  23. Good luck and keep us updated Your car was what really convinced me into starting an RBZ project. I hope you don't convince me a VG38DETT is better... that's gonna be expensive. - Angel
