Justin I would say that the 275's would fit up front. the front flares arent filled all the way up like the rears are. But you might run into rubbing issues

What Tires Do You Run on the Street?
jeffer949 replied to JustinOlson's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Im running Falken FK 452's I was told they are one step more street friendly than the Aziens. I have probably 1200 miles on them so far and they are a great handling tire and offere pretty good wet driving traction. Pretty stiff sidewall but in all reality they ride better than the 195/70-14 Michellins i was running. I go them from WWW.edgeracing.com good price and fast shipping. They do have pretty good straight line traction and hold a line well through a corner. Im very happy. -
Determining head gasket without removing head
jeffer949 replied to cockerstar's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
Is it a MLS one? If not i would suspect just an oem one or a felpro. If it is a MLS there will be little tabs around the outside of the head that have little rivits in them. You should be able to get a pair of calipers on that part and check. -
Well I changed a few things last night AND THEY WORKED!!!!! Im so stoked right now you cant even tell. She is back up to running 20psi with out a hitch. (knock on wood) Ive taken it out for two 5min runs and so far not a single reset that i could tell. Well here is what i did. First i physically took th relay board out of the car and looked at it very closely. And apparently when I soldered in the 12v constant and the 12v switched i got it a little hot and it seperated a little bit around the solder rings. So I got on line and found where the traces went and cut them out and soldered in some wire externally. Not sure if this fixed it or the next thing i changed. The next thing i did was i took SPEEDERS advice and looked at the datalogs and noticed that my IAT and my CLT sensors dropped off a the sametime the resets happend. So I switched those wires to sheilded wire. So far its working great. Im still going to go to radio shack and get some of the CAPs and put those on the alternator and the coil. So unless this comes back. All I can say is thank you everyong for your help. I couldnt of figured this out with out you guys

Id say i have aroune 12K into mine but 4K of that was from an insurance check that got me new wheels and tires and my new paint job that i just did. Basically i spent the labor part of the check on wheels lol. I completely agree with the do things you can get done quickly. My car has come along way in the past 2 years. And its been because ive always tackled things in small steps. Only start one project at a time. Dont start doing paint and then dive into the suspension. Finish the paint and drive it a round for a bit. Then do your suspension. Thats what has kept me motivated to keep working on my car. Those few weeks or months in between projects where you just get to enjoy your car. If your planning a swap. Do not pull your motor untill you have EVERYTHING you need. Dont pull your motor just because you have the engine. There is so much more to it than that. Make a list and start collecting parts. and make sure you have everything. I can tstress this enough. I had to wait a week when i swapped my l28et in because i forgot to order a dizzy cap. Do you know how frustrating that is?

Ya that probably would be helpful. But then again I need to get this thing drivable to drive back to FL by thursday.
-
K well i cant find any caps that im used to seeing. Maybe ill hit a junk yard tomorrow and just snag some from different vehicles. The car is becoming almost undrivable. Its getting more to where If I take it up to 0 psi it just starts to break up horribly. I even thought maybe my turbo was locked up and wasnt allowing any air through so i took my filter off but its fine. Can the map sensors go bad and cause a problem? Do they go bad if you spike over the max value of them? I might see about ordering a new relay board pcb board as its pretty cheap and just transfer all my componets over to it. Im so lost on this its not even funny.

That was as boring as watching my lawn grow.

Where do i get them? I tried autozone but they where of no help of course. Would napa have them?
-
I just took apart all my wiring on my car and did everything with twisting of all wires to sensors and such. My relay board is Under the drivers inspection panel is. I built my whole unit and ive had it out several times and all my solder joints look great. One thing i dont have is a condenser on the coil. How do i wire that up? Also when i had my alternator unplugged I noticed i didnt have one on there either. Not sure where it went. Im going to go take it for a test drive and see how it does. Ill let ya know.

Wondering about a Turbo swap? Here's the $$

Also the centerforce clutches dont hold up to well in turbo applications. Id stick with a ACT set up or maybe a Comp Clutch one -

jeffer949 replied to Hotrodpez's topic in Turbo / Supercharger
Going over that 400hp mark is when it starts getting expensive. The cast pistons are good for right around 400hp. So if your wanting to go for over 400 your basically looking at a full rebuild to do it correctly the pistons alone are around $500-$700. At the psi its going to take to get that much hp your gonna want a metal head gasket. Which are I think 150-250 depending on thickness. Plus all machine work and new bearings. Thats when it starts to add up. -
Its not everything but its a start. I would go to the DIYautotune.com and Get these components. MS kit you want relay board Wiring bundle GM IAT sensor with pigtail relay board cable. Also get new injector connectors for when you make your wiring harness I think thats about all you need off the top of my head.

I have way less than 5k into my set up and im over 300hp. Id say more like 2k maybe. -
Well I got my Magnecor's in today and installed.. And well lets just say i went for a ride and there was alot of cursing going on because its still Resetting. Im so lost on this car. I cant find anything wrong on the megasquirt. And i have to drive around with my laptop at all times so i can reload my firmware about once a day on average when im out driving it. Im this close to lighting a rag in the gas tank. I just dont know where else to look.

Thats freaking sweet!!1!

Just an update. My magnecor's arent here yet apparently they where out and had to order another set of them from magnecor or something IDK. I tried undoing my alternator to see if it was causing the 12v line to jump around and its not. It was still haveing resets all over the place. My question for everyone is how in the world can my voltage spike to 17 volts when im running just off my battery?? I mean Where is the other 5 volts coming from? Also a queston conserning the MOV1 Phil made a suggestion in seeing if it was unsoldered as his was apparently. So i checked it and it wasnt but i reflowed the joints just to be sure. But can these go bad and if so how do you test them to see if they are bad?

I don't have resistors with my low imp. injectors!

well that wasnt my problem Better luck to you phil. Also did you read if they can go bad or not? -
I made a strange L motor on sunday from spare parts.

If you run a felpro 1mm gasket your CR is 8.67:1 -
What wont bolt up to the s30? Most of the turbo guys are running s30's Me included. Whats so special about your car? The only thing that might have to be changed is the intercooler piping and the ehaust. Plus a few other changes.

Thats been my problem also. Ill check it out. Voltage spikes make my ecu reset and ya. not a smooth running car -
