  1. If it is a 8.8, it is the same as a grade 5 bolt. If you want a grade 8 metric bolt I believe it is a 10.9.
  2. Also could be a bad new alternator. I have got a couple of new ones, that were DOA before.
  3. Definately go with the N. I like the D-Link routers myself.
  4. You don't want the random orbit. I have a makita polisher, got it from tooltopia.com. You will want to start with the cut polish compound on a wool pad, then switch to the swirl mark remover with a 3M foam pad. Be carefull on the edges, make sure the pad is rotating off the edge, so it doesn't burn through the clear.
  5. I had to apply for a lost title on a motorcycle once. They will send a police officer to check the vin numbers to make sure it isn't stolen. Not too bad of a deal. took a little over a month to get the title.
  6. are the 3" speakers separated from the subs? If not you will ruin the smaller speakers if the subs have much power to them. I would also run the power wires somewhere else. What are the speaker specs, and what amp are you running?
  7. Yes it isn't exactly the same, but does the same thing. I would think that the two lines would be better if they were the same length, and the one line to the tank a bigger size than the other two. Maybe a -12 for the one to the tank, and -8 for the other two. Not sure if they need to be that big though.
  8. Looks like a generic nitrous y fitting. Here is one from summit it is a -6 and -6 to a -8. Not sure what size you are after, but they come in all sorts of sizes/combinations and colors. Anywhere you purchase AN fittings should have a huge selection of y fittings. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=NOS%2D17841NOS&N=700+%2D117718+115&autoview=sku
  9. You can take a painted piece in to the auto paint store and have them "eye" it, and the computer will give them a formula to mix up. It will be really close, but may not be perfect, but might not be able to tell either. Have them mix you up a pint, and spray something with it, and hold it up to the side of your car, and see how it looks. I have had good luck at matching colors this way. Some stores, have the portable ones, that you can take the whole car and they can get a reading in the parking lot.
  10. looks good. I think the spoiler would look great black, or silver. If your paint is very old, the silver might not match perfectly though.
  11. I have seen pistons like that too many times on modified 2 strokes. Detonation is never good, especially in that amount.
  12. Here in Idaho, it is legal to buy a silencer, providing you pass the extensive background check, and fill out the appropriate paperwork, and pay the tax. One of my friends bought one here. He knows this stuff, and has an M-16 and a full auto Uzi. In addition he had to have the county sheriff and city police chief sign some paperwork. He has to cary a copy of the finalised paperwork with the wepon. It took a good 6-8 months for all this to happen after he paid the dealer for the silencer.
  13. Get the numbers off the converter, then check them out online. As a general rule, the smaller the diameter the higher the stall.
  14. Uhmmm, don't get cought with one of those home brewed silencers, unless you are OK with a felony, and a prison sentence. Not to mention no more guns ever (legally).
  15. I would steer clear of the sigmas. They work fine, but the trigger sucks, and are far from accurate. Springfield armory has a polimer framed line called XD, and I have a XD-40, it is close to that price, and is a great gun. If you are really into accurate autos, 1911's are hard to beat. I have one of those too, and love the feel, and accuracy of it. Good 1911's are spendy though.
  16. regular fleece from Walmart, or a fabric store works awesome for that sort of thing. It is stretchy and soaks up the resin great, and once dry it is good and stiff.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag4nLpu1nJ0&feature=related That turbo is HUGE! Has some lag, but when it comes on Wooo Hooo! What happens at the end of the vid? Anyone know?
  18. Looks good! I like the way you laid things out, and the Z above the steering column is a nice touch too. Good work.
  19. Good to see another Idaho Z-car guy. That 280ZXT looks like a good donor to me.
  20. Drilling holes in the metal for the bondo to adhere is not a good idea. It will absorb moisture from the backside, rust under the bondo, and eventually pop off. I would grind it out now, and spot weld the holes in, grind it smooth, and put a thin layer of bondo, or glaze over it. FYI all you need is to hit the area needing filler with some 80 grit sand paper. What filler are you using? Looks like the pink Bondo stuff. There are alot better fillers out there these days. I really like the Rage Gold, and the Rage Extreme fillers from Evercoat. Looks like you are doing a pretty good job, and I would hate to see you have problems in the future, that could ruin your nice pait job. One other thing before I get off my soapbox, run your fingertips accross the panel, and any indentations, or anything that your fingers feel WILL show up when the final paint is applied whether you can see them with the primer or not.
  21. Nice, now we just need some pics of it put back together! What is that orange color? I love it!
  22. http://store.racing-solutions.org/2suinbukit.html you can also get kits in aluminum, and stainless.
