  6. Yea, the one i grabbed was a 90's era Jetta IACV. I've been trying to find examples of others using the same or similar valves on the L28ET with no luck so far.
  7. Did you ever add an idle valve? If so, which one did you use? I ended up going with Haltech instead, my warm idle is great, but that first start in the morning is a tad low. I picked up a basic two wire IAC on ebay to help with the cold idle, curious how other people are dealing with cold idles.
  8. Anyone have any pics of how they actually mounted IAC's from other cars? I just grabbed one of the VW IACs of ebay.

  10. The stock FPR isnt adjustable, there isnt anything to set. I *think* the concern is the low fp, not the difference b/t pressure w/ and w/o vacuum. If the there are no blockages in the line and you suspect the FPR, i have a like new stock fpr I dont need, shoot me a PM.

  12. Just following up -- my car is up and running now, using stock CAS with LS1 coils. Working on the tune currently. Thanks to everyone who helped me here and through PMs.
  13. Just finished up the install and now im starting to tune. Car started on its first crank and idles well though. No base maps to start from that I know of, so starting from scratch basically on fuel and timing maps.
  14. I ended up going with a different set of 60lb bosch injectors, just had to swap the pintle caps to the longer style. Much easier than machining the manifold and zero risk of a local machine shop ruining my shaved/polished manifold trying to figure it out, lol. Ive already had its initial start w/ the Haltech ( http://instagram.com/p/cAOqIWh3G8/ ) , just sorting out an ignition issue currently. Speaking of, if anyone reading this wants a set of never been used 6 50lb 14mm oring injectors once owned by Turbo Tom himself, PM me haha! I talked to the FIRM guys during the Tioga show, seemed liked they were eager to get people out to the track. Eventually I would def like to take my car out there, maybe once i get a good tune on the haltech. Sorry for the off-topic post, good luck at Sebring though!   18. Has anyone ordered from ZCCJDM recently? I placed an order online yesterday, got the confirmation email saying they will send me an invoice for payment, but hadnt received anything yet. What kind of timeframe is typical before they ask for payment and send out your order? Thanks,
  19. Did some more searching last night and realized the injector bosses in the manifold also have to be modified for 14mm injectors. Is this something any machine shop could do, or is it a specialty type job?
  20. I began my haltech install yesterday by removing all the stock wiring and computer, and then moved on to the fuel system. I have stock turbo injectors in the car currently and had bought 50lb injectors to replace them with. What i didnt realize was the difference in the injector tips. Heres a picture to show what i mean: The two injectors on the outside are the stock injectors. The two injectors in the middle are the new injectors (the new injector on the left has the o-ring removed to show the actual body design). From a bit of googling, it seems that the pintle cap style injector is an older design, and most other forums say that they are interchangeable. However, they dont seem to seat in my intake manifold well, if at all. To others that have swapped to larger injectors, what style tip did the new injectors have? Did you have to bore out the injector bosses in the manifold for the newer style tips?

  22. Bumping this, Im to that point and would love to just look over someone else's setup to compare to where I am. Especially interested in anyone's maps that is using one of the platinum series ecus.
