  1. whatever happened to pickn' up a book and learning for yourself? Engines are not so complicated that you need to sit in a class room and have some monkey wrench explain every last painful detail to you. Go to the library, it's FREE. You'll be surprised what you can find in there. -Ed
  2. I'm going to try to convert my 280 to run on a ZXT ECU if possible. Any thoughts would be highly appreciated. -Ed
  3. I'm curious as to if I can run the ZXT harness on my 78 280z. I would like to use the MAF and not the AFM, lowering the impendance to the injectors I don't think should be that big a problem. Any Thoughts? -Ed
  4. What parts do you have? I'll take any spare fuel injection parts, ECU, harness, injectors, manifold, fuel pumps, etc. -Ed
  5. i wear 205/50 and 215/40's on the front, and with both tires it's not hard to turn. I have a Grant steering wheel 12.5" i believe

  7. Govenor declared Marshall law on N.O. today. Giving them the authority to do whatever it takes to regain control of the city. Very sad, they all sit there yelling to be rescued, when if they just started walking, they'd have been out of harms way already. I mean I feel sorry for them, but then again, you have to helpyourself first in my opinion. -Ed

  9. your forgetting how much the rear hatch weighs and the fuel tank that are still not on, as well as the doors. The hood and front valance don't weight that much. It's the glass that really adds the weight. -Ed
  10. liability only in TX cost me 32 a month. Full coverage cost me 182 yet it wasn't full coverage it was basically same as liability... really retarded. This is with USAA insurance. -Ed

  12. Just wanted to put my 2 sense in. I think the main reason for halfshaft U joint failure is extra torque with weak suspension through a turn or hard shift/launch. Just what I think anyways. -Ed
  13. I know what you mean, I hate to stop but I have to pay the bills somehow, as well as get an education. College and work force me to stop. I think one phrase pretty much describes how Mike and I feel right now... "AAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....."
  14. More than welcome to come check out the cars, hopefully mine will be out of primer by then. Wetsanded Mikes this morning, I had some scratches showing through the paint still, thought I got them all out but i can still make out some fine scratches. Looks like one more wetsand with some 600 and another 2 coats of color should do it. Currently on 5th coat of color. This car is going to look like glass Mike. Man I'm exhausted, time for work. -Ed
  15. No worries mate. Yeah I have the same problem with my 280 halshafts, the webers produce gobbles of low end torque and the u-joints just can't take it. I don't think converting the R180 would be too dificult a challenge for a decent machine shop. After my wheel spacer failure i'm starting to wonder if I want to buy Ross C's billet CV adaptors of just have a local shop weld something up.   16. It's about a 3-4hr drive, easily doable. I'm definatly up for the trip as soon as I get my 5spd back in. I'm sure Mike will be available as well. -Ed Currently block sanding the car AGAIN as I had problems with my primer gun earlier today. Should have the blue on and hopefully clear by dusk tomorrow.
  17. you may have a blown turbo but alteast you dont' have a sheared stud off your wheel spacer preventing you from even drivn' the damn car. --I swear.... it never just breaks, It falls apart. Well back to painting.
