  1. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/xcart/customer/home.php?cat=253 LC1 is what you want.
  2. Link for tranny guy. http://www.keas.com.au/products.asp?id=4 He can send you a shift kit that will help you out somewhat. You should rebuild the trans to take any kind of power. Mine gave out with the stock turbo at 14psi after a couple of months. I rebuilt it with a shift kit and it's holding up good so far. I also have the specs to make shift kits if you want to do it yourself. Bernard
  3. I use a stock turbo off of a 7.3 IDI turbo diesel. I get full boost at 4200rpm. The compressor is a to4b 60-1 hifi, exhaust is a stage 3 .82 a/r. Turbo ford guys with 2.3l use the holset off a dodge cummins, and like mentioned above the gm 6.5 is a t04b with an exhaust turbine wheel that measures a bit smaller than a stage 3.
  4. oh no, not another menno....I'm in ST.Einbach. sum donna han.
  5. What do you mean by the ecu tach signal? At the ecu, what pin are you referring to? The ecu uses the CAS signal for rpm. Pin 8 or 17 I think. Perhaps you mean the coil signals?
  6. JWT knows the formula the ecu uses to calculate load. From maf voltage and rpm they can figure out where you are in the load table. Reduce the timing as much as necessary for it not to detonate. Make sure that the tps is closed and you're fully warmed when adjusting the timing. I still think that unless you're way over 450hp at the crank, you should be ok. BTW what kind of plugs are you using?

    Close...

Jeffp has something lying around that would work for you.
  8. Could be a # of things. I wouldn't think it's the tune. JWT maps a 10:1 ish afr in higher boost areas with high teen's for timing. How are the plugs? Is one of them lighter meaning leaner? If you call JWT give them the maf voltage where this occurs, rpm and boost. Do a couple of tests with reduced base timing to find out how much you've had to reduce it to get rid of the detonation, and or increase the fp clear it up. If you want to tune it yourself, go to http://www.batronix.com. Buy a programmer for under 100.00 and get the new wideband from innovate for 200.00. I'll help you out with the tuning.
  9. Good job. Most of my vacuum timing is 50deg's. Could you list the addresses of the tables you edited for cold start. Nissan's tuning is setup for the owner/driver going uphill, in 5th gear, in 120deg F weather, towing, for 10 miles, wot. Ok maybe that's an exageration. There's a lot to be had in the timing tables.
  10. Tim, I'm not too familiar with those ecu's, how do you get the data out and back in? Serial cable to diagnostic port? Bernard
  11. Send this guy the #'s for the 370's. He's got good prices. http://www.injectors4u.com/
  12. Your mechanic is wrong. Z32 Turbo injectors are 370's.
  13. I ran the stock t3 at 14-16psi for 2yrs. It had 150k km's when I cranked it up. At 160k I removed the compressor housing/wheel and upgraded to a t04b wheel which I ran for a year when it failed. I never had a bov until last year otherwise I think I'd still be running it.
  14. I'll be in Fargo at the end of next week. Perhaps I could stop by for a "refreshment" and have a look at your project. Bernard
  15. That will work. You'll have to adjust your timing somewhat 'cause you'll probably have some wicked knock on boost. You don't need to use another afm. Place a pipe with a valve that you can adjust to control the bypass air to help tune it. I know someone that has done this exact same thing except he did it with a supercharger. He had to lower his fp somewhat then adjusted the bypass size and adjusted he had to adjust his timing. He was using a NA ecu I believe. He runs mid 12's.
  16. Contact 240z turbo, he's got one that he wants to get rid of.
  17. I should have put some text to explain the link in post #6. It has a bunch of dyno tests with/without tuning on a NA engine, on a very flexible system that he's built himself.
  18. That sounds exactly like my buddy's car. His supercharger whines like crazy. He's got an MSA header with a straight thru muffler. Great setup. Bernard
