  1. All depends on the load I guess. I've managed under 10mpg before.
  2. Did you check your PCV valve? You are getting positive crank pressure under boost.

    Downpipe???

I had a good dyno result with 3 in DP on stock turbo on my car.
  4. Stock N/A? or turbo pistons? I might be able to pull out couple turbo pistons
  5. Hehe. I went to a local dyno with local car club and there was a guy with S2K and another guy with mod. 1.8T Golf. I went with my Z and out-dyno them with a blown head gaket.
  6. My dyno # was good with 3.90 and aluminum flywheel. But I don't know on 1/4 mi.
  7. yeah, you can use turbo AFM if you use the internal from N/A AFM.
  8. what's really funny is the leak is not fixing water and oil. But I'm on it. I like to have all 6 cylinder back.
  9. I went to dyno even through I had a leaky headgasket on #5 cylinder and oil blowing turbo. I dynoed 208.4RWHP with 217.8ft/lb of torque on 8-9 psi of boost. 10:1 on wideband until 3800rpm, but 13.5:1 @ 5500rpm. (Stock AFM )Now I just got to fixed all the leaks, and A/F ratio. And I should be ready to take it down the track.
  10. Well, I've having hissing sound that sounded like I had an exhaust leak. I got around taking some of my plumbings and heat shield. Then I found my problem. On #5, my head gasket was leaking. But I had no coolant pressure built, water in the oil nor oil in my radiator. I've had no mark on the side of the block and the compression test was good. (I guess Ishould have done the leak down.) The gasket must have cracked right in between the oil hole and water jacket. Weird.
  11. I see a stock exhaust manifold modified to accept T4, I think it had a T4 flange weled on with ported smooth.
  12. I raced one before, I can tell you that stock 280ZX is not going to keep up with VR6. I'll be close.
  13. Good info. I read that GN turbo also have the oil rings staggered for less high boost oil leak. O, and there is 10 blade stage III turbine wheel out now. hehhehe

    AFM?

75-76 AFM is alot easier to swap the guts because they are not soldered together like the later ones.
  15. you'll need the ignitor if you are using the zxt setup.
  16. with enough boost, you won't have to worry about revving fast. you just got to keep it off the rev limiter.
  17. I got mine off ebay, $80. It was s;ightly used, but works just fine in my car
  18. I got all new gaskets. But I do think I put the manifold to turbo gasket inside out
  19. Closer to the TB but still in front of TB suppose to be the best but it can work anywhere on the IC pipings
  20. Ok, the spray trick work on th eexhaust manifold? I'm pretty sure that's where the sound is from since I'm still getting good vacuum on the intake side. Thanks man
  21. I just got through putting my car back together. I took my car apart due to a hissing sound. I thought my exhaust manifold blew the gasket but appearantly not because it's making the exact same noise. (that was before I hooked up the ignition.) Well, what else can it be? It's a regular tempo hiss, sounds just like the blown exhaust gasket. I didn't see no crack or hole on the manifold. I did find a small crank inside of the turbine housing but I don't think that would cause that. Help.
  22. Walbro is what I got too. It's a little fuel pump but I was tols it'll be good to about 16 psi of boost.
  23. LY28 head used to be an anftermarket optional head from Nissan. But you also need to replace the bellhousing because slant was oppsite. I doubt it still exsist
