  1. DP on the turbo car doesn't seem as much heat as the manifold. I sprayed my DP with 1200deg hightemp spray paint (I'm on the budget) and has not yet come off even after I had the turbo glowing solid red
  2. Threaded wastegate rod is acurate and you can up the boost in small increments
  3. what kind of BOV do you have? Well, if if leaks, you can always plumb it back in front of th turbo.
  4. I say with good IC and some boost, it'll take most of the 5.0's But who knows, around here we got some SC 4.6L running mid 10's
  5. O, what's nice about the Kakimoto vavle cover suppose to quite down the valvetrain.
  6. Yap, I think the BOV is too loose
  7. I'm so high tech now.

    EFI Woes

My set up surged when the boost was coming up. I found that motor was gettingtoo much fuel no enough timing.
  9. No, bosch plugs on bosch EFI doesn't really matters. What matters it how low resistant the plugs are and how long the spark can ark. IMO
  10. You probably getting too rich. 75psi? Is this a turbo car? On N/A car, WOT should be around 36-38psi on stock setup. I ran 44psi WOT with cammed N/A.
  11. Yap, I'm all about NGK plugs. And have had good result with them. BTW, do you get (more like can I) discount on Amsoil stuff Doug? I'll be intested if you can get me a discount. I would like to try the 10w-30 synthetic in my turbo engine. I also like to know the part # for an oil filter to go with that synthetic oil. Something equevilant of Motorcraft FL1
  12. Well, with 3.90, I can loose traction in 2nd from a roll. I think I need to loosen my rear suspension.
  13. Well, dyno your car. I'll get to dyno mine Feb. 1st. May be we can get somewhat of comparason. I'll been meaning to take a picture of my DP for you. I'll do that this weekend.
  14. I read a sprkplug test awhile back and NGK came in second over all. Only plugs that was better was Champion plugs.
  15. 100ft/lb-110ft/lb with some red locktite on the flywheel. I can't remember the pressure plate but I think it was around 20ft/lb
  16. Funny, theat's exsactly how my ignition is set up.
  17. No EGR. That's rare in CA. HAHA Sweet man.
  18. 350ci right?with twin, half the motor is 175ci which is just little bit over the L28 (168ci) but with that power you are looking at GN turbos probably won't be enough. But you can always upgrade the compressor on them to get more flow so those might work. They are not as big as small T04 though. Corky bell's "maximum boost" is what's recommended.
  19. The compressor sure does look big enough. But you might want to find the exhaust turbine housing AR and the trim. I thin you want like q trim or something like that.
  20. Man, there are alot of T04's out there and they are many different size too. But most T04 were on the diesel trucks. Rotomaster, Rayjay are some company names on the compressor housings. I think you'll be looking at 1.19AR turbine housing one.
  21. I play around some with intial timing on my car and when I had it retard about 5 deg (15BTDC) I was getting rich statter when the boost starts to come up. But I was dumping at of fuel to make sure that I didn't ping.
  22. BTM works great. I'm running 78 dizzy with 6A BTM, I've not got it to ping. (well, not that I know of) I think I'm almost getting too much retard. 1 deg per 1lb of boost starting at 3 deg with initial 20 deg BTDC
