  1. are you sure you have spark, and for all 6 injectors to not work(as you said you tested them with a led light) so they are getting signalled to inject... try a little squirt of starting fluid, its alot more flamable than gas, so if its bad gas that should give it the kik to start it.... but in general, you SURE you have spark, and injectors getting signalled to inject.. hook up a simple analog test meter, set it to dc 10 volts with the key on test each side to see which is positive, then carnk it over (I find it easiest to have a extra dizzy and just spin it, with it hooked up to simulate engine rotation) (may want to have the coil wire unhooked for this) with the terminal you found to be + hooked to the red, and the black into the other it should bounce.... and while your at it, check for spark......
  2. yeah, thats a good point, air might move more violently , but I don't think it carries the same force as water, and since water goes to a good 70 psi in almost all applications.....
  3. we are all just jelious and cant feel for he is sooo much higher than us.... wait thats it you guys are right he is friggin high as a kite.... at first I meant his understanding of things was hogher... but no he is just high!!!!!!!!
  4. wow, never really thought of that.... ha, I wasn't thinking of use alternative sealing methods.... ha
  5. yeah, thats what I'm thinking... but after looking, this head could be made to flow... thing is, I get the head to flow, then I am stuck makeing the intake flow.... I might be able to port, and polish... but air tight aluminum welds??? And I don't truse any local shops around here... Only one actual "welding machine shop" in my area, and he didn't know if he could have been able to weld on my aluminum intake when I asked him... So makeing one I would think would be out of his league..... Yeah pretty ironic, a metal fabrication shop that doesn't know if it can weld aluminum? yeah I'm sure he's top notch right...
  6. Ok, but can someone post pictures of a eccs type head runners? Can I port this head and still flow good hp? I know about the runner and fuel injection system being different, can I just put an aftermarket intake on it? And I'm going megasquirt if I use it so the fuel injection system doesn't matter either. I can not find any rock solid inof, to sway either way... I notived these are very small runners when I popped the intake off....
  7. so if I build the bottom end, I would still need a new head for real power... Are the intake ports big enough, or able to port to large enough to make power, As in 500+ crank hp.... suckky either way....
  8. oh wow, the heads don't interchange.. Didn't expect that, all the head gaskets Ive seen were for "rb20det" no specific year etc, same with head gaskets.... I meant all the "nissan complete gasket kits, and head gaskets were all for rb20's... Sorry for miswording
  9. sorry I have the nics, not the eccs sorry about that
  10. ok guys as the title says. Is there a difference in the 2 variations of the rb20det... one has red top ome silver... I have the early "red top" with the eccs ecu. The only info I can find(I have searched, and searched, and some more searching) Heck Ive tried searching images to see if I can see a difference in the intake runners... I have found nothing!!!! I want to put some forged pistons into it, stainless header, cam gears, a big turbo, etc. But if I got a head that won't flow jack..... Whats the point ay.... Also Will an aftermarket intake fit onto this? Please let me know, maybe post some pics of the heads(intake runner, as in with the intake off just a photo... I'm wondering if its gonna be worth forged with 500cc injectors and megasquirt fired off the crank or just worth a pile of scrap??? thanking you in advance
  11. 300zx turbo!!! 1600!!!!!! - $1600 look at that first posting!!!!!! ok electronic suspension( is installed (has about 8500 miles on them) with this car its virtualy rust free, no patch jobs, on the under carriage. also how abot a forum price drop.. I think all these adds that are personal postings should have this, but how about 200$ price drop for the forum, trades are considered. and price is negotiable(not so much after the price drop.... )
  12. man if that sells for 250 I'ma cry, I live in ny and buyer "must pick up"
  13. Wow, now thats some useable torque... Who needs peak torque, when you got a torque platue (cant spell but I think we all know what I was trying to say) (sounds like "pla toe" )lol.... anyway.. nice useable power. Different look too.... Nice
  14. sounds like debri, perhaps, is the pivot mared? Chase threads on both the head, and the pivot. Check for depth clearance. Or you have a gremlin hiding in there.... lurking in the threads waiting to damage something in a moments notice
  15. I don't think the widest tires you can put on there are gonna make a "true" posi traction any less prone to breaking loose. I think thats what your wondering. but as a thought when switching from 205's to 235's the 235's chatter "ALOT" more. And that shows on cornering to. Although the wider seem to be much more "predictable" in corners, they both slide... So
  16. wow, thats your first paint... good job, no i take that back extremely awsome job...
  17. z32 crank, h beam rods, forged pistons. turbo manifolds(could go custom, or do a custom engine mount from the factory cross member) appropriately sized turbo for your hp range... proper sized injectors. engine management of your choice, be it megasquirt, or nistune. clutch upgrade, and some lsd... depends on your hp level you want, but with the $5g, and what you currently have oh, and a set of cams springs etc.... I think this is the route I would go... depends what your staring with too though....
  18. yeah, they said they don't always have them, he had to check. but they were about to make a run.. so in the future, I'd say to contact them.. and worse comes to worse it might be a while before they have them availible.. also the only square ports are the center ones...... so, its gonna take a bit of fabbing, wait its a custom header, of course its gonna take custom fabing lol
  19. yeah!!!!!!!! pace setter I got 2 coming 50$ a piece!!!!!!!!!! But there a combo of round and square port... hmmmm lol nothing a little die grinder won't cure lol.....
  20. i got a set of 81 turbo tails, but would need more than 50 shipped..... sorry... let me know if he pans out
  21. the gains are by less air getting "bottled" in the engine bay, air removed from going under as a result the car gets pushed more to the ground by the other areodynamic features And standard hood venting? whats this? hoods don't vent air in any practicle sence. As in early z vents? well one is blocked off, and the other, hardly vents anything, other than heat soak? or do you men a scoop? of to which ducts more air and turbulence into the engine bay resulting in more air going under the car.... Did I help clear that up??? oh wow I misssed the quote.. sorry my bad... well, it mentioned water splashing. if its ducted out the sides then the water wouldn't be coming out onto the windshield as for the increases, i would imagine it ducts more air than standard, and it might be comparing to a standard model car?
  22. still looking guys.. People don't think I'm nice enough!
  23. well, i typed add url, or something, and pasted... it sorta works.. lol... thanks though, from now on, Ill copy it and come here and reread what you said to do, then Ill try and correct.. thanks
  24. well thats screwwy, as you can tell, Im new to adding images lol, but if you click the writing it seems to bring it up??? odd lol.....
  25. ok, I don't have alot of pics in my comp, but from that vent, its ducted in a box of 22 gauge directy to the radiator. again not a good angle as you see its metal, and that hole got covered in metal and thats what it started as, some places only have about 1/4" clearance from the pathfinder intake...
