  1. 300526305558 is an ebay item number, its a link to northern auto parts. They are not forged, but call the number on that site, they should have good flat top cast pistons in the 87mm.... good luck and for 6 it should be a litle over 200, like 220....

  3. I didn't even think to mention the pcv system metering the air.. And I was trying to find the change. (all things working fine, change some parts and now he has this.... )And I've had problems with the meter being to close to the turbo and the inlet not having enough pipe before it... as for the tps, 2 settings one supplies the 5 volt reference to the signal of closed throttle, and on auto's it sends reference to full throttle. Its like 2 switches nothing more. if you pull the hose from the fpr the idle should jump (vacum leak from the hose being disconnected. just a thought As for the wide band they're pricey and in that case, he could buy a complete ecu and harness from a z31 and the sensors and be done worrying about the older analog ecu... I'd try one of those spare afm too....
  4. I have one in the for sale section (280zx parts like new, performance) its just broken in, I want to go sr... I think I'm in new york... Shipping might be a problem... scan through that post... its like th tenth post I think.. anyway its 700 for complete running l28 minus turbo...... (literally running though.) as In 300zx ecu ect. let me know what you think. Or if you already have one, then I can try and get a ship quote if your interested... I have lots for sale though, as in the engine flywheel ect.... just figured I'd throw that stuff out there. And I need to sell the engine before the flywheel.... cause if I cant sell the engine it would be worthless without the flywheel....

A sr going into a 280zx would change greatly from a 280z... the engine cradle is WAY farther back... there is not the clearance... so either you raise the engine above the cradle, make a custom oil pan, the upper, not just the lower, so theres some custom alluminum... I was looking to do the swap into a 300.. but NO not now, not gonna do that much custom..... but someone else might seee it and say, wow thats simple.. it actually rides on, or just misses the cross member but I don't think so... good luck
  10. did you place the maf closer to the turbo inlet? air leaks on the intake? timing different....
  11. not even close.. 280zx goes over crossmember and under axle, 280zx is almost straight under both...
  12. dampen a cloth with some sort of rust remover, like clr. Or have you elbow greased it with a good clean cloth... you could even take the green scotch brite and lightly hit only the areas that are troubleing you.. others should chime in don't loose sleep all is not lost..... Unless you would send it all to me if it is all lost then it is send it to me lol.... no really though you'll be fine...... I've never surfaced my block, and I know I've had some impuritys and I always seal up nice
  13. the fuel pressure should be taken with the vaccum hose off. but if that was with it on thats about where it should be.... as for the idle there should be a screw to set it on the throttle body, also could be the ecu thinks that you are touching the throttle(disconnected tps?) or vaccum leak.
  14. test cylinder head temp? fuel pressure? I think if you crank the idle pretty high then disconnect the head tempature sensor if it has the correct power (it will run pig nasty rich) as in no stumbleing. then I would guess the temp sensor. if not, then I would point toward fuel... factory service manual gives many tests to perform for various sensors...

    t5 driveshaft

    I too have a t5 driveshaft, one from a 280zx coupe, and one from a 300zx coupe... I'm assuming you need the 280.. let me know if the others don't pan out..
  17. well, the first build I did I did stay with the l6.. it was Very impressive. lots of torque... But now, I'm going with the sr. for the facts of easier to get parts stays nissan, I got an amazing deal on the swap. And its freaking light!!!!!!!!! But I would stay with the l over a v-8 but thats like you said sounds like a truck.. My l28 after the rebuild sounded unexplainable.. It sounded sooooo clean. it was amazing, under boost (24 psi) it sounded like a freight train!!!!!! That was coined by my copilot, the pull of it and the amazing sound.... but what made me go with it in the first place was the idea of more even power..... But when compaired to a 383 small block chevy running 500 hp for under 2000 its kinda a crap shoot.....
  18. I welded a flange just off the manifold. and snaked a pipe to dump it just behind the sway bar... I think I tried one of those adaptors and found it would not work.... maybe they changed the design, tilted it? or something.... But like I said I just welded to the exhaust manifold

  20. I was thinking the same thing. I remember the rumors that there were engine swaps. I still haven't seen the z31!!! I want it soooo bad. I aslo see you included some of the skylines, but thats sure not all of them, theres 89, 96, atleast one from I think 60, or 70' might have been both... Some is very accurate some is a little off... I was suprised as I have a car 7xx kg and 206 hp. It hardly goes 80, and near impossible to hit 100.... My 84 300zx was faster.. heck quicker too....... but oh well... Sorry for the knocking it rant, but seriously how long has that game been in developement!!!!! I think its a good game, but could have used alot of better features(ie rims, swaps would be nice but ahn, and what about the s30, you CAN'T turbo them WHAT!!!!!

  23. any exhaust leak within close proximity in the exhaust stream can cause a leaner than actual reading. Also How about a full list of mods. Are you sure the injectors are the 26, and not 20,25? Was the 14.7 when you were under a load (actually seeing 9 psi) or just while idleing, or cruising? Idle and cruise would be lean, only time to richen is under load.... Ah both afm's hooked up properly? hmmmmmmm
  24. L28et swap is almost as simple as a stock engine swap. most difference is ecu and harness.... As for 250 hp, is that wheel, or flywheel? for the flywheel, 3" exhaust intercooler, a decent turbo (for hat low super 60?) I'd recomend the 300zx ecu swap.... should be good for a decent 10 psi turbo setup... and should with a decent setup be 250 to the wheels, and dead daily reliable!!! you could say 300 whp, but I would say a small methanol shot and 13 psi..... should be impressive.... As for the cost, L28 swaps are anywhere from 300 up for something thas gonna be decent... the 3" exhaust woul be certified muffler. I don't know the cost. decnt turbo should be had for under 500 (decent ones if you trust ebay specials like I do) as little as 200 300zx ecu, and harness and maf.. 2-300? maybe a bit less (junkyard, what 50-60?) intercooler, probably under 300 for a complete kit.... I had probably 1200 in mine, but I also rebuilt the whole motor, and she screamed..... the 300 ecu swap is amazing in the difference.. but also whats the budget? Theres ways around spending real money in place of doing alot yourself...
