  1. I REALLY like 'em. I think they go great with the dark green paint!
  2. Davy, thanks for the update. Looks like things are going good on the panels. Judging by pics I've seen of this guy's 510 parts these panels should be quite nice !! jaime
  3. SO, who's going to be brave and try them out? And please give us a product review.......
  4. Bodacious finds!!! Your car is going to be totally BOSS !!!
  5. I have the MM175 with the Miller cart and mine sits loose too. I used one of those rubber mats for tool box shelves so it will stay put. A friend of mine has the harbor freight cart and I think it's much nicer. It places the welder closer to arms reach, which is a great feature right off the bat. Also, it comes in blue that's very close to the welder's color. One thing however, with the HF cart, IIRC you need to "notch" the table so the welder's door can open. Not a big deal..... As for the original topic: Miller:Hobart:Lincoln...? As others have already stated, on the 110v and even the 220v units all three make good models. You really can't go wrong with either.
  6. I have just learned to completely ignore these lazy fools! Even if I have some info I COULD pass on. If they don't take the time to write an understandable post, why should I?
  7. If you are talking about the outer sleeve then YES it need to come out. I used the same method as Cary. A shop press would come in handy if you have one. This pic was borrowed from another Z site:
  8. Thanks for the heads up! With these events starting to pop up it can only mean one thing....spring is right around the corner. Too bad for me I still don't have a Z that runs . I'm stronly considering buying a 510 so I can get my "Datsun" fix. Maybe I'll show up with a camara....
  9. Unfortunatly the companies I know of are here in norcal. My suggestion, if you don't get any other feedback, would be to ask around at local body shops in your area. Mainly shops that do custom work on older cars. I'm sure somebody could help you find a local blaster.
  10. Hopefully Dave will chime in here. He has sparked alot of interest with these new parts. Very wise too release them around this time of year as I'm expecting a nice tax return soon!
  11. miloZ: I sent you an email. LMK if you want the parts. jaime
  12. At minimum I would say to upgrade to a 280z R-200. If you're interested I have a brand new driveshaft adapter I purchased from JTR. I won't be using it since I have a Q diff now. I'm in the bay area, maybe we could meet up.
  13. WOW, those new parts look cool! I was getting ready to cut up a set of front arms but I think I'll wait for more info on Dave's stuff. I have always liked AZC parts as they have all been high quality bolt on parts for me. I'm going to put my left leg on ebay and see if I get enough cash to afford these.
  14. Thanks for the laugh. Whoever made that site has way too much time to kill. I finally have an online dealer for muffler bearings! And only $50 !! SWEET
  15. Well if that's the case just get the AZC 5 lug kit. It is designed to work with Mustang specific 5 lug wheels. When I ordered my CCWs I gave them my specs and they said "OK, we'll send you a set of Mustang wheels." Even my receipt from them says Mustang GT offset.
  16. If I were you I would order the wheels and the flares. Once you have them in hand, you can mock them up on your car and decide how thick you will need your wheels adapters to be. This will allow you to decide where your wheels will end up in the wells/flares. I believe you can custom order wheel adapters to your specific thickness. Just my 2 cents.
  17. I was also on a mission to find a "list" of sizes and thread specs. I found it much easier to buy one of those little plastic bolt mearuing devices ( what the heck is the right name...?) Anyways, the sell them at hardware stores usually next to the nuts and bolts. The will easily measure bolt sizes and threads. And yes, I found most everything I need at ACE Hardware. Also, here is a link to some fancy stuff: http://stores.ebay.com/Restoration-Stainless
  18. Well since this thread has been revived, I guess Ill post a couple pics of the rotisserie I've been working on. I hope BradMan doesn't mind me copy his nice design. I did change the design of the base though. I will be adding HD casters and finishing the moving pieces tomorrow. And yes, I will be able to rotate the car 360 deg with this design. Another nice thing about using the platform bottle jacks is that the car itself doen't need to be sky high on jack stands in order to be mounted on the rotisserie. It's a bit more work, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
  19. IIRC on my 72 the yellow was the one for the sender. Green is 12v power.
  20. Yes I'm pretty sure this is upside down. Looks like a pretty good job of getting the pipes tucked though.
  21. Just a heads up in case you didn't notice. That thread shows 2 different diagrams. One for LHD and 1 for RHD. Just wanted to make sure you get the correct one. Be sure to show us your new fender mirrors too. I'm a big fan of them but I have always been afraid I wouldn't be able to see much from them.
  22. VERY NICE !!!!! Looks like you were a good boy this year!
