  1. On autotrader you will need to go to the classic car trader for this. Don't give up!
  2. Can one use denatured alcohol? I have a bunch of it that I use for cleaning plastics, composits.
  3. Looks great mark! I can't wait to get mine installed too! Why do you have 2 a/f meters? Just curious....
  4. Hey I noticed you mentioned projector HIDs in your future. Why not give these a try, they have a projector lens already built in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7986233217&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT I'm sure they're not the same high quality projector like the OEM MBZ or BMW systems use but they're around the same price as the ones you're looking at. FWIW, I had a set of the Autopals that looked like the euro versions in your post. I was not very happy with them at all. They never fir quite right in the stock bezels (trim rings). I got alot of shaking in the lamp and I was going through bulbs like crazy. My stock halogen lamps and other H4 comversions never did this using the exact same bezels. Just my experience, I know others have not had problems with them. Also, even with the H4 upgrade, I never got the full light output from the lamps until upgrading the wiring. Check out Pete's site. This mod will help your headlights more than any drop in lamp. - just my 2 cents
  5. Thanks Mark. Front glass will be out of mine as well (as soon as I can GET it out) It's stuck in there pretty good. The glass says Nissan on it so you can probably imagine! I'm looking to use new style HVAC controls, hopefully. Definitly won't be using the oem cable system. And I'm thinking about mounting an aluminum "face plate" to add a little more support to that area of the dash. Thanks again. Also, if you get a chance, could you post some pics of the way you did yours? Thanks
  6. Install looks good! Just curious but what fuel level guage will you be using? Does the LS1 tank sending unit operate on 0-90 ohm like most other GMs?
  7. Thanks for the info! Seems like a good approach. I think I will be doing something very similar. I think because the glass dash is so light weight, I'm really concerned with it being able to hold the weight of everything going into the dash (guages, wiring, etc.) Are you still going to use the heater/radio in yours? I'm hoping to still use them in mine and I might add "hidden" air vents under the dash but pointed towards the driver & pass. Just curious what you plan on doing? I just drilled the holes for the 3 small guages. I used a 2 1/2" hole saw because that was the closest size I could find. A little sanding of the holes allowed the 2 5/8" guages to slide right in. I can't wait to get it done!
  8. Just wondering if anyone here has accomplished this? I did search this but only found general info on the dash itself, and not the installation part of it. I got mine last week, I got some tips from Marc at PDK but I'm sure there's more than one way to do this. It is a very nice piece, extremely light weight! Just trying to get additional ideas from the anyone here! I realize I will most likely be welding in new brackets for the glass dash. Did anyone use any of the metal "skeleton" from the oem dash at all? Also curious about how to secure the wiring harness behind it? Any info would be great! Thanks.
  9. There are OTHER z forums out there......? ...........weird..............
  10. Sounds great! Please do post some pics when you get the Z back.
  11. That is the most ***F-ing retarded thing I've seen an ADULT do to his kid's car!..yet the auction has 13 bids......go figure.........
  12. Montoya, I see you're in socal. Why not just take a little road trip and check them out in person at MSA? And bring a tape measure! If you do this, please report the quality of the flairs to us on the board!!! And if you end up buying them you can throw the shipping cost out the window too!

I'm really diggin' your Z! Looks great, nice color and the CCWs match nicely! Is that a Sparco fuel door? How did you go about installing?
  14. My vote goes to the RB26dett! I envy these the most.
  15. Thanks guys! So final verdict is 12-17 ft/lbs with some locktite! It's too bad the assembly will be somewhat hidden under the car. I got the diff cover powder coated a metallic silver and the AZC billet mustache bar now has a mirror polished finish! I'll post some pics soon..........
  16. I've tried searching and came up empty on this one. I need to bolt the rear diff cover back to my Q45 vlsd. I couldn't find a FSM in stock at any local parts stores or I would have just bought one today. Does anyone know the torque spec? I have a new gasket and some nice flanged bolts standing by..... THANKS!
  17. I have the one that's shown in the MSA link and it NOT the same as the one in the first post. They look pretty close but the area around the air ducts look different to me. FWIW, my MSA piece is made by Xenon, as for the on in the first post, just contact SR240z. He is a member here and I'm sure he knows who makes his front spoiler.
  18. I take it the oem evap tank is no longer used, right?
  19. Don't mean to crash your thread, but how do these seats compare to say..Corbeau or other makers out there? That price on ebay is a GREAT deal compared to the other seats out there! THANKS!
  20. Tim, do you have an actual line-lock kit like the ones used for drag staging, or the park lock type that the AZC brake kit comes with? Just curious....
  21. First congrat's on the soon to be new bike! As for getting it home, I don't konw about you but I like peace of mind. 8 hours on a bike is a long time to have to listen to that little voice in your head saying "please don't break down, please". On that note, driving down will also give you a little time to hang out in SD and check out all the hot college cuties! Plus they'll think you're a super stud in the rental truck with a sport bike in the back!
  22. I used my engine leveler for the first time recently. It is the Kragen special. It makes pulling the engine sooooo easy. I actually pulled my engine/tranny together while waiting for a friend to come over and help me! When he got here he was like "WTF, the work is already done!" I MUST get one of those swivel doo-dads, I can see how it would have helped. And of course, lubing the threads is a must!
  23. My suspension techniques rear sway bar is the rear mount type. LMK if you want it, I can't use it with the Q45 diff/axles.
  24. ...or at least bring an extra pair of undershorts.....
