  1. Looking good Marcus Have you made any adjustments to get the ride height/stance where you want it?
  2. Hey Victor, Not sure what you application is, but I have two e88 heads located in Kennewick if you just need something to get you running. Just shot you a text! -Ryan
  3. Thanks for the congrats John and Igor! I've done a couple of events with SSSCC and am hoping to be out there all season this summer. Just have to get the rear end back in the Z and drop in the new L. Then I guess we'll see how she shakes down! I'm shooting to make it to events 1&2, but we'll see how that goes. I've got to move across the state and make that location under my name change from "Tacoma/Kennewick, WA" to "Kennewick, WA" Have you done much out at SSSCC? John, what happened to the mounting point there? Looks nasty!
  4. I put down the wrench, washed my hands, and walked across the stage for 12 seconds as my name got called among a sea of graduates this fine three day weekend. Guess it's time to join the real world now and put that degree to use, right?
  5. I wonder if you could adapt the RB to the porsche gearbox. Maybe some kind of adapter from the crank of the RB to the shortened stock driveshaft? I have no clue how their torque tube functions, so it might prove to be quite the challenge. Then again, it may be fairly simple! I'm sure a google on a non-porsche engine swap would turn up answers. I'd love to know! Edit: Looks like the turque tube attaches to the clutch on the engine side of things. Perhaps you can chop up a bellhousing, retain the nissan clutch system with a disk splined to match the porsche torque tube splines. Only a measuring tape will tell
  6. That looks great! Looking forward to any other pictures you post up.
  7. Seconded on the request on the color! At this point I'm 95% sure that my '71 is going to be a pearl white in the future. I'm considering the color from the newer STi's and the newer Lexus/Toyota offerings. I've been drooling over the Common Snapper Z for awhile now!
  8. Am I missing something here??? Link seems to be working fine for me. http://www.c7carbon.com/datsun-103/1970-1978-datsun-240z-280z-s30-104/
  9. No problem! 75-76 and early 77 cars came with the n42 head. 77-78 came with the n47 head. The only difference between these heads are the liners in the exhaust ports for emissions and the valve seats. Neither of which effect the head gasket! Should be able to use a gasket designed for a 77 without any issues on your 76. I haven't ever heard of "Nippon Reinz" or "Victor Reinz", but I am far from being an L-series expert. "Nippon" sounds familiar, but I don't have any info other than recognizing the name. Sorry.
  10. Ishino is Nissan OEM, if I remember correctly. Give a search on here for the brand to confirm and get reports on the quality and update us here. A quick google search shows them available for around $40 online.
  11. If it's made of rubber, replace it. If it's a fluid, flush the system and change it. If it's lubricated by a fluid, prime the system. If it's a normal wear item, replace it. A car that's been sitting non-op for that long is going to need a lot of love, but once you address all of those issues you should have the joy of all of the parts that didn't get a ton of use!
  12. Any updates Marcus? I'm anxious to see the new ride height with the coilovers
  13. I think they could all work just fine. I'd probably ditch the piece with the leaf over the road though. Then again, leave it on and it's a decent way to piss some people off Can't wait to get one of my cars swapped so I can tell non-car people that I pulled out the stock engine and race a hybrid now!
  14. I have a straight grille if you don't have a lead on one locally. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
  15. I have a stage 1 cam for sale here: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/105149-stage-1-camshaft-125-shipped/
  16. Any interest in sectioned strut tubes for coilovers?
  17. Here's a video BigPhil did covering the hydro to solid conversion:

  19. Any examples of prepped stock rods holding 700hp? I was always under the impression that the number was lower than that from what I've read, but would love to learn some more about it!
  20. Let me know which temp sender you need, and I might be able to help you out. I just picked up an L28 that I'm putting SU carbs on, so I don't need any of the EFI bits. I'm currently located in Tacoma, WA. I might have an air regulator as well, but would need a pic to identify it. You should be able to pick up a PCV valve from any auto parts store for well under $10.
  21. Are you looking to grind it all down smooth once it's plugged up, or just fill the factory hole/boss? When I shave intakes it's a combination of drilling out the stock holes to accept SAE pipe taps and welding the holes/divots up. BRAAP's EFI tips thread shows this method, here. I took this demonstrative pic from that thread.
  22. Something along the lines of this has been on my to-do list for a little while now, but I haven't had the need yet. Thanks for posting up some pics! Any details on the pump you're using?
