  1. Yeah, I should be ok for a bit. What I have planned to do now is to get it up and running and fix a few of the small issues on it such as the rust on the door and stuff and hopefully sell it at a better price.
  2. I didnt receive the money I expected for financial aid for school. And thanks Destiny, I'll give Zilvia a try.
  3. *mods Im going to be donating soon, just wanted to see if there are any interested people before I make it official* Hey guys, it's unfortunate but I might have to part with my Z. it's a 72' 240z with an RB25 S2 swap. It's a nice California car that's in pretty good shape and the swap is mostly complete. It has very minor rust, the worst of it is on the passenger side door but is not on the body of the car itself. Interior is all there and in good shape, runs strong. It needs to have the Aeromotive stealth fuel cell mounted before it can run again. I have not done any cutting yet on the car for it. I know many of you have been following the build and theres all the info in my build thread. I'm at work right now but I can get pictures later if need be. Let me know if your interested. Also I am NOT parting anything out. Looking to sell the whole deal. The only thing I may sell separately is the fuel cell.
  4. Looking sweet Stony! Now you can start putting her back together
  5. Thanks for the inspiration, I've been in a bit of a rut with mine lately. That is one of the slickest ones I've seen.
  6. Sorry, I don't really get what your trying to accomplish. Seems like you'd just create new problems trying to go with a single TB...
  7. So you want to get a flange and weld it onto the RB26 plenum...? I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing this out of convinence before. Most people that go single go with a Jun style plenum or whatever.
  8. Sorry, but that is one of the longest run on sentences I think I've ever read.
  9. Flows better for very high horsepower applications.
  10. Supposedly there's two of this type of manifold. There's an HPI Knock off which is supposed to be marginally better than stock and then there's one that looks like it but it has no benefits. I believe that one is not the HPI style one which has longer runners and is better designed. This type of manifold carries really no benefits over stock except some headaches and the shinny factor which would probably only last a few days anyway.
  11. Thanks for the response. I've been stag on the project as of late due to other commitments. I just uncovered today that I am going to need a fuel pump controller. They are $300 and I have to wait for my apexi power fc to come back from repairs to hook it up I presume because it needs a tach signal and I'm fairly certain I fried my tach signal a while back by accident. Fun fun fun
  12. Another quality install. Very very clean, I wish mine was as clean as yours.
  13. Not going to be using the fill neck on the car. It would require me to hack up the fuel cell no matter what position I mount it in.
  14. I've decided that the way I'm going to mount the fuel cell is in the spare tire well. It nearly fits, all I have to do is notch out the four corners then weld in 90* angle pieces and make a set of brackets to hold it down and pad it to keep it from rubbing. It'll only stick up about two inches or so. Basically, it will be sitting in the tire well and have two brackets on top to keep it from moving in the horizontal direction but will utilize the bottom of the tire well to rest on which will have to be modified a bit. I'm thinking of making a bulk head enclosure to hide it all that could be removed for racing situations to save weight but easy to reinstall for street. My reasoning for this is that I will retain what strength the spare tire well offers, more than likely save some weight from having to make a bracket enclosure, retain the sleeper effect of the car as the cell won't be peering through the bottom and be mostly hidden from view, cell will be protected by the well in the event of a bottom out/rock/whatever situation, as well as being easier in nature to fabricate. Seems like a good idea to me.
  15. Slick car man, I had a 280z with those stupid bumpers and it's nice to see you got rid of them. I have a 240z now, but I gotta say I prefer the 280z tail lights haha.
  16. The case is 14" and the overall length is 20". I dunno, I may or may not take it off in the future. It removes the RB scream when you get into boost (at least inside the car) and all you hear is the suction sound from the turbo. But it does remove a lot of the resonating sound and make the car a lot more livable to drive around with on the street. It also makes the car a bit more of a sleeper.
  17. What suspension are you running?
  18. Car looks awesome! Thats a nice find for sure. You should put up a video of what it sounds like. My only gripe: Nooooooo not the carbon "fibber" painted black ricer hood!
  19. With the walbro, make sure you have an adjustable FPR on there and it's adjusted correctly. I read that you've been through two, so you must already know that. You could try getting some fuel injector cleaner and mixing it in with your fuel then driving it around. Can't hurt.
  20. RB25 is different than the RB20. RB25 is akin to the RB26 & Z32 trans. RB20 is akin to the 240sx transmission. That's what I know.
  21. A good friend of my Dad's who is a professional fabricator is going to come over this Friday and have a look at it. I'm gonna see what he thinks, I'm thinking take em out to lunch and maybe get a nice mounting system built
  22. RAW Brokerage sells RB25 long blocks. I'd think you'd be way better off going that route. Sorry to see this man, that really really sucks.
