  1. Thagards intake manifold. Cant say much about it except with that on and i/c added car leaned out so much that buy the time i reached 5psi plugs were glowing white so fuel pressure had to go up about 6-7psi . 2.5inch i/c piping with turbo xs bov (still need to get that coated/painted).
  2. Afther : I wraped the header and down pipe and i can really tell the difference in underhood temp. In this picture paint looks dirty because i had spiled some crap all over it and two tons of dust did not help lol. [/img]
  3. I really dont feel like doing this because it just takes too damn long but here are some new pictures of engine bay. Info first. Around October last year i blew the headgasket and since i just moved from Alabama i was broke so the car had to sit for while this is where "while i am at it" stage really kicked me in the a$$. Since my bottom end was still from 77z i decided to replace it with turbo bottom end that i already had. Long story short motor came out, all the wiring, fuel lines, brake lines, engine bay got preped and painted (pic. dont do it much justice), instaled t-5 with pro 5.0 shifter, sectioned strut housing, and finally got the lsd from 89 300zx. All this was done over period over six seven months (some from waiting for parts some just from being too damn cold in the garage). Ok here are the pictures and alot of them .   4. I belive that stock fuel pressure at idle is at 38psi. If you want to turn the fuel pressure down you will need to get adjustable fuel pressure regulator. You really need to give us more info about your setup like injectors you are running, turbo, i/cooler.... Ivan

  7. Mike, Put your car on the scale and i bet it will be right about 2550lbs-2580max. When i put my car on scale it was 2540 (1/2 tank of gas) and everything in the back removed just like yours plus i got HEAVY ass 18's but that was before i/c install. Garretts car at the same scale was i belive 2520 with 1/2 tank of gas big i/c and stock wheels. I am just trying to say that your car is way lighter than you think . Anyways great times bro way to go about street racing it just aint worthed. Ivan
  8. Mike, Damn dude that turd sure is moving . When i took my z to track first time i ran 13.54 at 103.5mph with 2.1 60's and car weighted 2760 with me and 1/2 tank of gas. When i put all that in one of those calculators it said that i am making right about 225whp and that was with 10psi and no i/cooler. If i remember right you made like 180whp so how is it that your mph is higher than mine with your car making at least 30whp less and almost same weight? That sure is interesting i am sure one of the guru's with chim in . Ivan

  10. Cronic Thanks man thats the answer i was looking for. I will stick with 10psi and when winter comes very close i will go 15psi so that way if it goes i wont fell bad about it . Ivan
  11. James, When you sell out of those 10 i/c will you be making any more if people are interested? I just enroled in school and also i bought JTaylors old L28T so i am VERY tight with money right now but i would be very interested around end of the year.   12. onephatz If you bought your clutch from autozone then its not OEM nissan clutch. When i sold my 84 300zx turbo my old ACT clutch was pretty much gone so guy that bought it changed it with replacement clutch from autozone broke it in right way and it sure did last about 750 miles with 12psi of non-intecooled furry from mighty t-3 and afther that it was pretty much gone lol.   13. Me no want to try . I am having so much fun just driving the damn thing finally that even if i had free act or something like that i would not change it any time soon. Drove the living crap out of it tonight for about four hours on the crusing strip then i took it downtown Chicago through few tunnels and went hard third and fourth 10.5psi and it was not slipping but launching it will only tell for sure .   14. Hey guys, Question about stock turbo clutch. I am running stock OEM nissan 280zx turbo clutch and afther "proper" brake in i have put about 2k miles on it which included about 10 1/4 mile pases quite few street races and such. So far it has been holding great at 10psi from t-3. So here is my question i really dont want/can afford to change clutch right now and that brings me to question myself just how far can i take stock clutch. My plan is to run 15psi on t-3 but if thats too much i can live with 10psi for few months. I have seen posts where people have had better luck with stock clutch than with one from clutchmasters and i have heard from one big z fanatic how he swears that stock clutch is really one stout part. Do any of you guys have experince or have you heard of anyone making about 275-300whp with stock clutch without killing it in two passes . Thanks, Ivan
  15. Ohhh cmon guys its cant be that bad during the war back home one time we went without power for about 7 months straight up but it was not such a biggie because for about five years we had power for four hours then no power for few weeks . Can anyone beat that? Ivan
  16. Sorry guys that i cant help but i do have one question. I belive that i have an vacum leak but i am having hell of the time finding it so how does it work with propane? I have never heard of using propane to find vacum leaks can you please explain how you do that? Thanks, Ivan
  17. PROJECTRB240SX That is great info you got there buddy . I will call my buddy and ask him him if the input shafts are same length (and diamater) in t-5 and rb25 tranny. Here is my whole reason for inquiry about interchange. Eventually I will be making above 450whp and while t-5 is "strong" i will need something that will hold the abuse of high rpm launches and solid rear end. One of my options is to go TimZ's way and spend $2500 and get that t5 upgraded internally which is great idea but only thing is i dont have that much $$$ come to think about it i wont have that much money for a LONG LONG time (school). Now i am just trying to see for other options and no i will not put auto tranny in this Z so thats out of question. On the side note what rear end ration does rb25 like? I know that rb26's like some crazy low gears like 4.88's so i am just wondering about that. Thanks, Ivan
  18. Buddy of mine just bought rb25 with manual tranny and he said that bellhousing bolt pattern is the same. I am wondering just how strong are those trannys and if there are any internal afthermarket upgrades for them how much would they go for? Ivan
  19. 525, Yeah i was talking about Garretts car. His whole fuel setup is something like this i belive: t-rex fuel pump, 370's, billet fuel rail, and stock fpregulator. Man his car is monster from 3k to 5k she sure likes to be all over the road . I am sure he will chim in as soon as he is back from Florida. Ivan
  20. Very nice # Cronic. Friend of mine from Chicago dynoed 275whp and about same torque as you but he is on stock electronics and 15psi. If i EVER lol get my car worked out i am shooting for 300whp on t-3. Call me crazy but i think that i have a good shot at it . Ps. What injectors are you running and what kind of i/cooler? Ivan
