Stock l28t bottom end with arp rod bolts. Big turbo, i/c, injectors, bpr8es plugs, haltech e6k, with boost coming (1-2psi at 3000rpm 15psi at 3800rpm)in timing is about 26 deg. At 4200rpm (where my torque peaks) its at 23 deg. then it goes back to 26-27 from 5800rpm-up. This is on 93 octane. Ivan

Hey guys, Well i am finally coming to Orlando. My first day or Jaguar school is on Feb.1 so i am looking for some general info. As of now i have two options on housing 1. I can get place through school and have like few roomates 2. I can get my own place (studio perhaps?). Right now money is very tight so its more looking like first option but i would like some input on prices of average neiborhood apartment. All I know right now is that school is near Orlando airport since i have been so busy here is Chicago i havent had chance to really look into it. I am also going to be looking for job so if you guys know anybody that is hiring please speek out. Right now i work at automotive shop (AMS) so they will put good word for me to local speed shops that we do bussines with (Titan, CFT....) but i really dont mind doing anything no matter how hard it is i have probably done it. Also i would like to bring my turbo z few weeks into program so if anyone has big yard that would not mind sweet a$$ z (yeah right) chillin there or if you have some suggestions where to keep it please let me know. One of the employees at that shop that i work at is building 240sx with KA-T and Gt-42R. His choice of tranny is built 300zxtt auto trans. He is looking for about 800whp in 2600lbs car. Ivan

Jon, Honestly i dont know much about road racing but we do have quite few customers that use their evos for it and i have not heard of them having problems (if they did they would come through the shop). Only thing that they pay close attention is to fluids that they use in tranny and transfer case and try to change them often. When my boss took shop car to one lap of america (i am sure you know how tuff that race is on car). With all the racing and traveling (three guys + trailor) I belive that they put like 3k milles in whole trip only thing that suffered from whole trip was head gasket because boost controler solenoid failed on long straightaway and car was running at 40+psi and even afther repairs (at the track of course) car did not run the same again. In the end they still took seventh overall but as I said i would not be the guy to talk to when it comes to road racing because shop that i work specializes in drag racing. ps. About two issues ago in Sport Compact Car one of our customers took second overall in Ultimate Street Car Challenge. Car had our turbo kit, I/C, stroker motor and it was tuned by my boss. Only thing that suffered (drivetrain wise lol) in whole challenge was transfer case (8k two step clutch dump). If you look through past few issues you can read whole write up on it plus the same car made the cover about three months ago. Ivan

Evo stock drivetrain rocks. Just for example one of our customers does HARDCORE drag racing (650awhp gt35r@36psi) and he has only broken one stock axle in whole full season on 555r drag radials and only reason that broke is because track was so sticky (Route66 in Joliet) that when i came to push car on side me shoes keept folling of my feet because they sprayed so much of vht like that stuff was going out of style lol. Another car that we are about to be done has everything that our race car has so when it hits dyno next week we expect about 750awhp and all this on BONE stock tranny and for sure we wont be first ones with that much power on stock one. I would take evo over sti anyday granted that i work at evo shop and have zero experience with sti lol. Ivan

Mike, I belive that actual number was 1540 whp or so at about 60psi. I work with guy that worked on that car when we was at Sound Performance (Sp). Ivan

I drove yellow one with 125 milles on it and that thing was not quiet by any means but it did have upgraded factory exhaust and this was also roadster. Ivan

Small world. That car is called Evolander and it belongs to my shop foreman at Ams (well known Dsm & Evo shop). It took him five months to build it and only way you can appriciate the car is if you see it in person. I rode in it with four of us in there (I am 250lbs) and in third gear Gt-40r at 30psi is freaking animal. Good times lol. Btw whole car was built by him alone (well 95%). Ivan
