    Header Spacer

I was thinking the same thing ...or you could scrounge up a used flange and clean it up.
  2. Hey Matt: Any Saturday around noon is good. Make sure Mr. Show-cars will be there first. Unfortunatly the Z is in a coma for the winter. But your more than welcome to drop by after and check it out. Send me an e-mail when you have something set up.
  3. Odd...Last month someone stole my boss' new pickup and drove it into an cement underground parking piller...Some people's kids are just sooo...
  4. If your going to go on a weekend let me know and I'll meet you there Matt. I want to check out his rear hatch. Anyone want us to check anything out...maybe punch the guy in the nose...? Cheers...:::Glenn
  5. All this equipment seems expensive to me. I put on a rotor from an early nineties Camaro by changing the inner race to the Z race and bearing. The outer race is the same. Found a smaller diameter inner seal and put it on. I adapted a Camaro calliper by making a conversion adapter like the one pictured on this thread. The rotors cost $30 ea. and the callipers were $20 ea. The unit is very low tech as it has single piston, but it will stop a big a$$ Camaro or a 3200lb Z. If you were to use a four piston calliper you would have to use a wheel spacer. I am going to service the front end later this winter and will post some pics.
  6. Rendezvous - Claude Lelouch - 1977 French Director, Claude Lelouch, straped a camera to the front of his V-12 Ferrari 275GTB and runs rampant through the streets of Paris. http://www.gremlinnet.com/download/rendezvous.mpg Ya that sounds like it...
  7. I bought my S/S parts from a guy who supplies pipe for industry, chemical and food grade. I needed 46 1.5†elbows alone, so I shopped around. His prices back in ’98 are the same as what you are looking at now. You might want to search out one of these shops locally.
  8. I ran a M21 behind a mild 454 in a ’70 Elcamino with a 273 rear and was unable to break it. It had a higher ratio (411) originally but I couldn't afford to feed it.
  9. Hey BigWhyteDude: In northern Quebec the lumber trucks race up the mountain. A wound up diesel billows out an enormous amount of smoke…"it’s just what they do"… For more pics on this party check out the link http://www.elrodeo.com/album/album_en.cfm?categorie=2003
  10. I recall a show on vintage racing and an A/U was coming into the pits. It had smoking rags for tires. I don’t recall the duelies ever being used. This was getting very close to the war. The article I have provides little in the way of information. I just thought this an incredible feat of engineering for 1936.
  11. Thanks SpeedRacer...this is a big help
  12. Looks like Ford was going racing against the Super Bird. There was probably a rule change and they dumped the project. http://www.ralphsrapidtransit.com/Superbirdpge1.html
  13. Who makes that dash? Is it custom? A fine car that is.
  14. If that’s what it is, they should be replaced ASAP. You really don’t what one to let go. Just think of where that shaft is in relation to your personal body parts.
  15. 47...I have had the car 18 years...and it's ALMOST finished
  16. Hey Nic-Rebel450CA : Without seeing it, I would guess that the needle bearings are gone along with one of the U-joint cups. There should have been some sort noise or a vibration as well. Never stop wiggling stuff. That’s when something will surprise you.
  17. Hey Rufus: I agree with Nic-Rebel450CA. Metal on metal is usually the best solution. The prices on mini MIG welders are down from what they used to be and are a good investment in the long run. I am looking a spot just under the lower window rubber that looks like it might be all the way through. You might want to check that out too. It looks like you have a good crew to help with the body work. Enjoy… Cheers…:::Glenn
  18. Vintage Kompression I was going through my archives of junk and came across this. I thought you forced induction guys might enjoy this bit of history. Dr. Porsche’s 1936, V16 Auto Union. Just slightly ahead of his time. Cheers…:::Glenn
  19. I don’t have any problems with my original core except for the smell. It smells …well like a heater core in an old car. Any ideas what causes this? If I paint it will smell like paint for a long time. In my work truck I place air fresheners in front of the vent to temporarily cure the problem. There has to be a real world solution. Cheers…:::Glenn

    Which movie?

Like Bulit, you can tell a good car chase when a music sound track is not needed to create suspense. The sound of the cars alone are all that’s needed. Getaway in Stockholm (911) Getaway in Stockholm 2 3&4 are not so great Rendezvous_ Claude Lelouch All these are on Kazaa and reasonably short.
  21. Oh man...all the really good jobs are gone... Cheers...:::Glenn

    auto taser

To be quite honest this Taser is a bit extreme. I had though one time I would put a cattle prod (small and light weight) under the seat to fry the hair off the bad guy’s boys. But in after thought I would have to agree with the Smooth operator, I would hate to have the thing go off on me. I have managed to set off my alarm twice without intention in the past. Oooooohh… Cheers…:::Glenn
  23. Awesome video! A definite keeper. The car that landed in the woods was a Mercedes at Lemans. They lost two that year the same way. $$$X2. Cheers…:::Glenn
  24. nooo...jim's mom will do it...AND fix the door too
